It looks like an obligation or duty that dominated your life is finally coming to an end. It's been so long that you shouldered this responsibility that it's going to be hard to imagine life without it. Loved ones and friends will encourage you to look ahead to the future, but part of you can't help missing what you're in the process of leaving behind. There's nothing wrong with mourning the loss of something even if it did rule your every waking hour. Indeed, this kind of mourning is exactly what's needed to make peace with what's come before as you move forward into uncharted territory.
