YOUR WEEKLY HOROSCOPE
The reason Venus likes to partner is because she believes that as a pair you can accomplish twice as much for half the effort. It’s a truism that works if the two parties are properly matched, and thankfully you are. But what happens when Jupiter is thrown into the mix on February 24th, courtesy of a Venus/Jupiter square? People like to say there’s no such thing as too much of a good thing, but there is if it throws you off balance or creates more demand than you can meet. Used to thinking small-scale, you’ll soon need to think bigger than you’ve ever thought before.
Just keep reminding yourself that Pluto is the planet of transformation as both Mars and Venus pass under its rays this week. Admittedly, this isn’t your first rodeo. In fact, you’ve lived with Pluto in your zodiac sign since 2008/9 so you know all about the ordeals it can put you through, but still, nothing compares to this cliffhanger. For some reason, it’s more extreme than the rest. The best advice any astrologer can give you is to hold tight. Life may feel like a Hail Mary pass right now but rest assured that there’s someone in the endzone who’s ready to catch it.
You’re still having a hard time gauging whether you’re coming on too strong or not strong enough. Mars in Capricorn makes you feel like you have to keep pushing ahead while Venus worries about what would happen if you let up. Thankfully Neptune’s pacifying energies will take the edge off this cosmic energy and make you less defensive. The end result is you being more open to others’ input. This allows you to listen to what they say, absorb criticisms, and benefit from their insight. It’s been a long time since you’ve been so receptive and it’s a sensation you’re grateful to be feeling again.
The urge to break out of that rut you’ve been in will be irrepressible as Mars in Capricorn trines Uranus in Taurus on January 29th. You’ve been pressing your nose to the grindstone for too long and need to lift your sights. Does this mean walking out on all of your responsibilities and commitments? Hardly. You’re a Capricorn. But what it does mean is that you want more reward for your exertion. This could result in pressing for a raise, a promotion, or leaving where you’ve been working for something better. Set the intention now and you’ll like what unfolds over the next few weeks.
Life gets rosier when Venus enters your zodiac sign on January 23rd. Named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty, Venus is also the planet of peace and prosperity. She smoothes over ruffled feathers by coaxing disaffected parties back to the table through charm and persuasion. Yes, you will have to exhibit true remorse for your recent decisions plus dangle a couple of choice carrots, but the end result will be gleaming bridges rather than burnt ones. Do this, and your life will once again be populated by people who bring out the best in you. Venus will be in Capricorn until February 16th.
The Sun conjoins Pluto for the last time in Capricorn on January 20th. This may leave you with more mixed emotions than expected. For sixteen years you’ve traveled an arduous path. You suffered setbacks, paid enormous prices, but there was also renewal and triumph. You may not have liked the road you were on, but you knew where you were going. Now that Pluto is moving on, you may feel like an inmate released from prison – happy to be free, but anxious about what comes next. Just remember the gifts that Pluto has given you – the wealth of experience and the wisdom to use it.
Mars in Capricorn is always a good time to push for what you want; however you don’t want to be high-handed or it will come back to haunt you. Named after the Roman god of war and conquest, Mars often plants the seeds for future retaliation if it’s not managed properly so take time to work out a way for both sides to benefit before making your request. Mars’s sextile to Saturn in Pisces on January 9th followed by a trine to Jupiter in Taurus on January 12th shows your proposal for a win-win situation receiving a warm welcome from those who’d normally be reluctant.
When Pluto, the planet of rebirth, departs your sign in January, you’ll see how much of you is new and different. Some of it you’ll like and some of it will take some getting used to, but you’re clearly wiser and happier than when Pluto entered Capricorn in 2009. The big question for 2024 is: can you let go of past fears? It’s hard to believe that one can outgrow their fears, but you have – just like a teenager outgrows children’s clothes. The challenge in August and December is in facing how habitual responses to new situations could lead you to shortchange yourself and others.
You have an uncollected thank you waiting for you on December 27th, courtesy of a rare Sun/Jupiter trine in the signs of Capricorn and Taurus. This aspect delivers on a promise made last September. It looks like you helped someone in need who promised to repay the favor one day. Maybe you covered them financially, sacrificed without asking anything in return, or provided moral support in a time of doubt. In any case, this trine is Jupiter’s reward for doing good when others wouldn’t. You may see this as a sweet token of appreciation, but there’s more to it as you’ll discover in coming weeks.
You won’t like having to go back on your word, but you have no choice when Mercury retrogrades past the Sun on December 22d. It’s clear that you over promised and now must renege; however being a Capricorn means you won’t leave people in the lurch. Either you will reschedule for a later date or devise a plan to deliver in installments. Meanwhile try not to be too hard on yourself. Everyone makes mistakes and yours is hardly the worst. Knowing that you’re committed to making good will satisfy the disappointment and knowing you’ve learned your lesson so that this never happens again will reassure you.

YOUR YEARLY HOROSCOPE
Brought to you by Jamie Magee
Capricorn, 2024 will offer notable opportunities and challenges, inviting you to link the tangible with the intangible and find stability within a change.
Top Themes for the Year:
• Financial transformations and evaluation of values.
• Balancing professional aspirations and home life.
• Communication, creativity, and daily ritual.
As you step into 2024, Pluto, the planet of transformation, will shift out of your sign and step into Aquarius on January 20th. Notice subtle themes from last year that surface again. You’ve worked with Pluto long enough to know that ignoring what needs to change works against you, while facing it head-on helps you tap into your personal power.
This year’s Libra eclipses on March 25th and Oct 2nd will focus on your professional sphere or reputation. Topics of home and work-life balance are up for review. The primary invitation is to release what’s no longer serving your path and lean into a new foundation that’s ready to be explored. The Aries eclipse on April 8th and a Mercury retrograde on April 1st in your 4th house will steer your focus inward and potentially provide insights into how your internal and external worlds mirror each other. Once your foundations are solid, there’s nothing you cannot build or conquer.
Your ruling planet, Saturn, has been in Pisces, focused on your daily rituals and commination styles since the spring of 2023. This year, Mars will meet Saturn on April 10th. Later in the year, on September 17th, there will be a Pisces eclipse in this area. The invitation is to use courage and strategy to unveil your karmic path. On this journey, you may have to step out of your comfort zone and explore new connections that are in sync with the path that’s unfolding in your life. Trust the change.
A notable high point of the year is when Jupiter meets Uranus on April 20th, followed by Venus and Jupiter meeting on May 23rd in your 5th house. This area of your life supports creativity, happiness, love affairs, children, and brilliant ideas. This is when you want to think outside the box and follow your heart. Soon after, on May 25th, Jupiter will move into Gemini for the first time in 12 years. This energy will illuminate your health and wealth. What do you want to expand or change about these topics? The sooner you dial into this desire, the more proactive Jupiter can be on your behalf.
Capricorn, as you navigate through 2024, your innate perseverance and judicious nature will be a cornerstone and guiding light. Trust your intuition, and you will indeed thrive.
