However, it’s becoming more and more difficult to tell the difference between passion and obstinacy, and that’s something you might want to take a look at this week when a certain someone starts up with the same old shenanigans. The Stars are giving you a chance to slough off a thankless obligation, and this could be someone or something that has overstayed its welcome.

You’ll be surprised by how quickly an idea or suggestion of yours takes off thanks to the Mercury/Mars sextile on September 11th. This planetary combination is like Astrology’s version of going viral. Not only will people respond positively to what you have to say, they’ll want to know if you have any other insights. Thankfully, there’s plenty. Scorpios are storehouses of accumulated knowledge and wisdom – some of it’s based on hard-won experience, and some of it comes from your fascination with forgotten history and seldom-told stories. It will be nice to have a receptive audience, and who knows? They may even become your new tribe.

You love a good gotcha – especially when you catch the culprit red-handed. For weeks you lay in wait, knowing that a certain someone would eventually mess up. And he will on September 16th or 25th. But something you didn't take into account were the difficult circumstances he's had to contend with. It wasn't that long ago when you faced a similar financial hardship or personal dilemma, and even though you made different choices, you can see how he arrived at where he is now. Obviously, you can't let him off the hook, but you can show him the way back to the path he's strayed from.

Did you say your good-byes too soon? Premature endings and unexpected reappearances have been known to happen when Uranus turns retrograde. This could give you a second chance to get things right in a troubled relationship, or it signals the return of that bane-to-your-existence whom you hoped was gone for good. There will either be squeals of delight or groans of despair on September 1st. Another thing to keep an eye on is Ruling Planet Pluto retrograding back down into Capricorn on the same day. This shows a disapproving critic giving you the last-minute boost you need to get up and over a hurdle.

You'll find that the Full Moon in Aquarius lays things out in starker terms than you're comfortable with. It's ironic because as a Scorpio, you're used to taking the bull by the horns. Usually, you're the one pushing people to make difficult decisions because you believe it's better to face unflattering truths than to delay the inevitable. Yet now that you see a situation for what it is, you're surprised by how emotional you're becoming. You have strong feelings, but you won't give in because you know that will just muddy the waters. There's only one decision to make, and it's time to make it.

Scorpios are typically tight-fisted except when it comes to their obsessions. If you're fixated on something, then money is no object. You'll spend whatever it takes to procure and possess. This lends itself to people as well, which is why many a Scorpion has gone into debt bankrolling a ne'er-do-well heartthrob or dreamy-eyed romantic who can't hold down a job. Mercury turns retrograde on August 5th and along with it go any hopes of being singled out for a job well done, rewarded for your efforts, or lauded for your talents. It’s a little disappointing (not to mention dispiriting), but the truth is that supervisors have their noses pressed to the grindstone these days and are far too busy racing to keep up with deadlines to notice anyone else. Keep hurt feelings to yourself and wait until August 28th when Mercury resumes direction. This is when everyone will be in a much better frame of mind and more generous with their praise and appreciation.

It isn't easy being in the passenger seat while your partner navigates all the twists and turns. Being a Scorpio, you'll want to grab hold of the wheel but keep your hands to yourself. Uranus in Taurus means all the craziness is taking place on their side of the fence. They're the conduit for change and they're the ones who are going to have to deal with it. Scorpios hate being cast in a secondary role – especially when you're not always sure your partner is up to the task, but they'll learn more from your support than they will from you telling them what to do.

Expect a break in the cloud cover on July 23rd. The Sun/Pluto opposition brings to an end weeks of gloom and doom scenarios. As a Scorpio, you don't mind spending time in the darker corners of your psyche, but it was getting to be a bit much, and now you need to do something constructive. The Sun at the top of your solar chart for four weeks beckons you to rejoin the struggle to live your best life ever. You're full of excitement about all the big ideas you have in mind. Unfortunately colleagues still have questions about how to proceed and that's a problem. Usually you'd walk them through the finer points, but the Mars/Uranus conjunction on July 15th will make you impatient, brusque, and as provocative as a Donald Trump tweet. This is when you need to take a couple of steps back and remind yourself that you just can't run around rattling people's cages whenever you don't get your way. It's important that you keep your cool when people are feeling the heat and pressure just as much as you are.
