YOUR WEEKLY HOROSCOPE
The reason you can’t placate a demanding boss or appease a dissatisfied partner is that this person doesn’t want to be pleased. And it’s not because they have high standards or that you behaved abominably. It’s because they enjoy withholding the approval you seek. It’s the telltale signature of a Sun/Saturn conjunction (February 28th). The best thing to do is to stop trying. That will feel tremendously awkward because it’s Virgo’s nature to accommodate, but once you stop focusing attention on this person, they’ll come looking to see why you stopped showing up. That’s when you can start a constructive conversation about making things right.
You may want to place sticky notes as reminders around the house, leave voice memos to yourself, or come up with your own version of Ariadne’s thread while Ruling Planet Mercury is in Pisces. Mercury is in both detriment and fall in the zodiac sign of the fish, which means that you may feel at times like Ingrid Bergman in search of her heirloom brooch in the movie Gaslight. So are you being deliberately misled, or is this all a trick of the mind? It’s hard to tell, but that won’t always be the case – especially when the mental fog lifts on March 9th.
Work has always been a natural outlet for you. It doesn’t matter how anxious or frustrated you feel, as long as you have your work – you’re happy. But work doesn’t necessarily mean a job. It could be a hobby, a favorite pastime, or something you do just for you. You’ve often wondered what would happen if you pursued this instead. Your reason is always money, but there’s a deeper hesitation than that. Would something you enjoy doing still be appealing if you had to make your living doing it? It’s the difference between a calling and a recreation, and that’s something only you can answer.
Mercury under the rays of Pluto on February 5th is bound to make you feel overlooked and taken for granted. These are deeply ingrained triggers for a Virgo, passed down through centuries, and it will be hard to contain your resentment. Yet you need to reflect on how you may have collaborated in this. Virgos like to help out and are modest when it comes to praise. This can create the impression you’re uncomfortable with attention and would rather just avoid it. Nobody’s saying you should turn into a Leo, but taking pride in your accomplishments could invite others to take pride in them as well.
You may have to throw the battle to win the war. That’s the message of the Mercury/Neptune sextile on February 2nd. Chances are this runs contrary to what you’re thinking – which is that given another go you’re certain to break through to the other side. And this might be true, except that you will have exhausted yourself in the process and likely lose that prize. It’s better to try again at another time in the future. Other zodiac signs come to fight – win or lose – while yours learns along the way, which means you’ll keep returning again and again until you get it right.
Be careful not to put people’s noses out of joint when Mercury conjoins Mars in Capricorn on January 27th. On one hand, you’re perfectly right to point out a fault or defect. This could have done some serious damage if it wasn’t addressed. However, the problem with Mercury/Mars conjunctions is in the delivery. There tends to be a brusqueness combined with a snippy condescension that can be extremely off-putting. Nobody likes being made to feel stupid, and this is something you’ll need to be sensitive about if you don’t want to undermine your message. Taking the time to present criticisms politely and constructively always pays off.
After weeks of trying to get a loved one or friend to do what’s best, it looks like you’ll be taking matters into your own hands. You could grow old waiting for him/her to make the right decision, so it only makes sense to reach out to others for help. A Mercury/Saturn sextile on January 18 followed by a trine to Jupiter the following day shows a rare alignment of planets and circumstances. Not only will you get outside assistance, people may even suggest a better approach. The end result will be doing what should have been done all along – and without anyone catching on.
They say that hope springs eternal, but reality does not. There’s only so much disappointment one can take and with Mercury forming a third square to Neptune on January 8th it looks like you’re being fed the same false promises. What makes it worse is that a seller, client, or lover is earnest in wanting things to work out this time, but circumstances say otherwise. This person simply can’t make the changes that need to be made which means it’s up to you to call it off. It’s something you’re loathe to do but it’s better than a repeat performance of the last two weeks.
A lot of things will be changing for you workwise when Jupiter enters Gemini on May 25th. You could sign on with another company, switch career tracks altogether, or decide that you’d be happier working for yourself. Whatever the shift, it promises to expand your horizons and opportunities. However, there will be planetary squares involving Jupiter and Saturn on August 20th and December 24th. This is when your faith will be shaken and your resolve rattled. Expect the going to be tough, but if you call upon your resourcefulness and ingenuity, then you’ll wind up benefiting from an experience that would have stymied others.
The Mercury-ruled signs Virgo and Gemini suffer from an inability to leave well enough. This can show up as adding that one tiny extra piece that sends everything toppling or undoing all the good that you’ve done because you thought you could make it better. Both impulses will be irrepressible on December 27th. This is when you’ll want to tape your mouth shut or sit on your hands if need be. It’s not quite like a Wolfman locking himself up in the basement when the Moon is full, but it’s close. Thankfully, the coast clears when Mercury comes out of retrograde on January 1st.

YOUR YEARLY HOROSCOPE
Brought to you by Jaime Magee
Virgo, in 2024, you’ll be invited to change your habits, work, connections, and values. Your entire world may shift. However, the humble constancy of your nature will be a stable anchor on the journey ahead.
Remember that you do not need all the answers, just the solution to the next step.
Top Themes for the Year:
• A reevaluation of your habits, work, and health.
• Adjustments in values, financial, and shared resources.
• Relationships and their impact on your life.
As the year opens, Pluto will return to Aquarius (January 20th) and invite you to adjust your daily routines. This is an excellent time to consider your work, habits, and health. Your attention to detail and systematic approach will be your secret weapon in working with these transformations. The less attached you are to the way things have always been, the better.
Your values and earning power will be a focus of the Libra eclipses in March & October. Taking a deep look at what you depend on, or what’s hanging on you – and rebalancing – will be a theme. The Aries eclipse on April 8th will give you the courage to build your legacy or lean into one you’re part of – yet do so in a courageous, original manner. Looking deeply at what’s ready to end or begin will help you work positively with this energy.
Your one-to-one partnerships will also be a focus area for you this year. Saturn’s focus on this topic has already taught you much about the value of connections. In 2024, as Saturn meets Mars on April 10th, you may enter a season of testing or cementing partnerships in both personal and professional realms. The Pisces eclipses later in the year (September 17th) in Pisces will invite you to consider deeper transformative partnerships. As you navigate your connections and emotional investments, think of your long- and short-term goals. Who do you want at your side, and why?
A highlight of the year is when Jupiter & Uranus meet in your 9th house on April 20th, followed by Venus & Jupiter on May 23rd. This optimistic and expansive energy could unveil opportunities in education, travel, or spiritual endeavors. The transformational journey continues with Jupiter’s transition into Gemini and your 10th house on May 25th. This energy hasn’t been here since 2012. This is a powerful time to enhance your career and public standing.
In 2024, Virgo, you’ll often find a clear invitation to step outside your comfort zone, particularly around your habits, partnerships, and values. Your analytical and adaptive nature ensures you’ll navigate these changes brilliantly.
