No sooner do you dot all your i’s and cross all your t’s, then unforeseen developments will turn the whole thing into alphabet soup on August 5th. Mercury retrogrades often wreak havoc with best-laid plans and the fact that it’s reversing direction right when you’re ready to finalize a deal is understandably infuriating. Yet there’s something about the timing of the Stars that’s better informed than ours. Maybe it’s their bird’s eye view of matters or the fact that they’ve been around longer than we have. In any case, what starts out as an inconvenience could turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

It’s ironic that for a sign that’s as freedom-seeking and derring-do as yours you will balk right at the time when you need to take that big jump. It’s not unlike a horse refusing to leap the hurdle because it can’t see what’s on the other side. Nevertheless, the Sun/Jupiter sextile on August 7th urges you to take this leap of faith. You may not know where it’s going to lead and you certainly don’t have any guarantees, but if you don’t do this then you’ll never know how it might have all worked out – and that would be the greatest regret of all.

Mercury retrogrades are famous for sowing the seeds of confusion, sprinkling flies in the ointment, and making you look left when you should have been looking right. That’s why it’s always a good idea to add two weeks to any deadline that you’re working with and to go over any contract or agreement with a fine-tooth comb.
You don’t want to get snagged on a hidden technicality or brought up short by an overlooked addendum. You might also postpone purchasing any big-ticket items during this time because chances are you’ll find some kind of fault in the merchandise or discover that the price was inflated or the property over-valued. Mercury will be retrograde from August 5th to August 28th.
