You often wonder why you don't get the recognition you deserve. You work hard and always deliver, so why the lackluster praise from a supervisor or boss? Because you're more valuable than you realize and they don't want you knowing that. They're afraid of you discovering that they need you more than you need them. Now one could say that if you're good at what you do, then you don't need this sort of praise; but then again, one could ask: wouldn't you be better off working for people who have no problem showing their appreciation? It's something to think about in the weeks ahead.
