Taurus Weekly Horoscope | November 25th – December 1st 2024
A pledge is sacrosanct. If you give your word, then you always keep it. It’s why you give your word so infrequently. Naturally, if you keep your promises, then you expect others to do the same—as a certain someone who is trying to back out of a sale will learn to his chagrin on November 25th. You won’t get bossy or difficult. In fact, you may be rather pleasant as you cheerfully point out the clause or rider that will cost him a pretty penny if he doesn’t come through. Let this serve as a reminder to those who mistakenly confuse “nice” with “weak.”

Mercury turns retrograde on November 25th, and along with it will go any hopes of being singled out for a job well done, rewarded for your efforts, or lauded for your talents. It’s a little disappointing (not to mention dispiriting), but the truth is that supervisors have their noses pressed to the grindstone these days and are far too busy racing to keep up with deadlines to notice anyone else. Keep hurt feelings to yourself and wait until December 15th when Mercury resumes direction. This is when everyone will be in a much better frame of mind and more generous with their praise and appreciation.

On November 25th, all the gremlins come out to play. This is when Mercury turns retrograde, and its reverse direction will release a Pandora’s box of glitches, debacles, and fiascos into your day-to-day life. It’s bound to be a headache, but as long as you take it all in stride and keep your sense of humor handy, you’ll be OK. But Mercury retrogrades aren’t always bad. You may not have everything you want, but you have everything you need to make you happy, and that’s a start. It’s an important distinction because so many people waste energy on coveting others’ successes or yearning for things they can’t have. One of the plus points to being born under Leo is that you’re very present tense. No dwelling in the past or fretting about the future. You’ll work with what you have to create a better tomorrow, and that’s what the Sun/Pluto sextile on November 21st is all about. Get ready to prosper in ways you never thought you could—or would.

You may have a higher opinion of your abilities than is warranted. And that’s OK. It happens to the best of us. What’s important is that you pick yourself up off the floor after a sobering Mercury/Jupiter opposition on November 18th. Now, a certain critic isn’t trying to put you down—what they’re trying to do is help by showing you how to improve your skillset, update your wardrobe, or maybe take a refresher course or two. It’s extra work at a time when you’re feeling pressured, but you need to do it if you want to get ahead. Follow their advice, and you will.

You have a sixth sense for when people are upset with you, and it’s this extraordinary ability to change direction that will come in handy this week. Other zodiac signs get defensive, angry, put-upon, or self-righteous. You learned a long time ago that it’s easier just to give people what they want—and what they want isn’t necessarily a pound of flesh. Oftentimes, it’s the opportunity to vent and to be done with it. Your agreeableness and affability project the right kind of good-natured sympathy and compassion. It also allows you to slip away when the angry moment is over while leaving nary a ripple.

Did someone get wind of you thinking about moving on? Evidently, they did. Either that, or they suddenly developed telepathic powers. Don’t be surprised when a boss calls you into his office to discuss future plans on November 21st. He won’t be telling you what he expects as much as he’ll be asking you about what you’d like to do. His vision of your relationship promises to be creative, collaborative, and one where you get more say-so. It’s all kinds of exciting, but is it enough to make you want to stay put? Don’t answer just yet because there are more outside offers to come.

You may feel a lot like Dorothy at the end of The Wizard of Oz. Yes, your feet are bruised and blistered, but you stayed the course—despite the allure of poppy fields, abduction by flying monkeys, and the bittersweet discovery that the Wizard you pinned your hopes on was a fake. So what do you have to show for all this? The realization that the answer you’ve been looking for has been with you all along. And it’s not the knowledge that three clicks of the heels will spirit you home; it’s the understanding that you have to be behind the choices you make. You have to be in your own corner. People will talk you out of things, circumstances can thwart you, and even the Stars may be misaligned. But if you’re in your own corner, then things will turn out right eventually. It’s why we travel these meandering yellow brick roads—because sometimes it’s only by getting lost that we discover our life’s true purpose. This is something you’ll see for yourself when the Sun in Sagittarius forms a sextile to Pluto in Aquarius on November 21st.

You’re in a transitional phase where you are offloading old commitments, thankless obligations, and maybe even a friendship or two. This impulse to purge is very much in keeping with the planetary trines taking place between Scorpio and Pisces. Essentially, you’re reorganizing your closets metaphorically and maybe even literally, and with any top-to-bottom reshuffle, it can be both dizzying and liberating. Savor this feeling and be more choosy about what you take on moving forward. The temptation is to refill what you just got rid of, so think long and hard about the people and things you want in your life before allowing them in.

You knew that if you were patient, then a certain someone would see the error of her ways and come looking to make amends. One of the wonderful things about your zodiac sign is the way you’ll keep the door open long after others have walked out in a huff. It may take a few days (or years), but you’re always ready to welcome them back. And this doesn’t come from knowing you’re right—it comes from the faith you have in people, which is often more than the faith they have in themselves. In any case, the long wait is over on November 21st.

It appears as if there’s been a misunderstanding. You thought you were being overly accommodating by saying yes, while the other party thought he was being overly generous with his offer. This could devolve into hurt feelings and building resentment if you aren’t careful. Nevertheless, it’s worth returning to the bargaining table one more time. He’s not as averse to renegotiation as you might think. What eventually emerges is an agreement you can both live with. It won’t be everything you want, but it’s better than what you had—although you’ll still believe you’re being too accommodating while he thinks he’s being too generous.
