“It's a visionary time, so letting your vision fly and your ideas fly.” – Anne Ortelee

Transcript

Amanda: Hello, my friends. We are in for such a treat today. If you have been hanging out with Astrology Hub since 2019, 2020, you are just gonna be so delighted to see a very familiar face. In true Venus and Mercury retrograde fashion, we are featuring Anne Ortelee today, and Anne is going to take us back a little bit in time to the time where she was helping us navigate the very tumultuous waters of 2020 and 2021. So we're gonna talk about the astrology that was happening then, and how that relates to the astrology that's happening now. And we're gonna look forward into 2027 and beyond, and really get a sense for this overarching story.

We're also offering a great opportunity for any of you who love Anne's teaching style to take one of the most popular classes that she taught with Astrology Hub for a very amazing promotional price. So it is amazing to have her back. Anne, thank you so much for joining us. W- we, we saw each other in Chicago, and it was just like—

Anne: Yes, we were, we were at UAC, yeah.

Amanda: Yes, and—

Anne: I was on the balcony overlooking sunset. It was really—

Amanda: Yes… yes. It was just one of those moments where it's like, “Oh, Anne.” It was like, it—there's just something. And, and I know so many people are gonna—

Anne: We're, we're, we're sisters from previous lifetimes, Amanda. We've—

Amanda: Exactly.

Anne: We've had many lifetimes together, I'm sure. Yeah, yeah.

Amanda: It, it's so obvious, and it's so felt. So anyways, I'm so glad to have you back, and what I would love to have you do, which we were just also talking, in 2019 Anne was one of the, I don't remember how many astrologers we had, maybe six or seven astrologers—

Anne: Mm.

Amanda: —on our 2020 forecast.

Anne: Right.

Amanda: So it's 2019, and we had all these str—astrologers on for the forecast what was gonna happen in 2020, and they were all giving us these like, “Oh my God” kind of, uh, statements that we didn't know what that would mean then.

Anne: Mm.

Amanda: And then we got to live through it, and now we're a little seasoned. We're a little wiser. We're a little more experienced.

Anne: Mm.

Amanda: And we're still in the storyline.

Anne: Yes.

Amanda: So it's really exciting, Anne, to have you back to talk about 2027, to talk about some of the big things happening.

What Happened in 2020?

Amanda: But then also just give us this context for where we're at in the greater story that we're all—

Anne: Okay.

Amanda: —still a part of that started in 2020.

Anne: Yeah. Okay.

Amanda: Yeah. So let's start there.

Anne: All right. So back to 2020.

Amanda: Yeah.

Anne: What happened then is we had, uh, there's, there's things in the sky called world points. And when planets meet on those everybody goes, “Ooh, stuff going on in the world point.” And what was happening that year was Saturn, who's about the structures, Jupiter, who's about our community energy, and Pluto, who's about transformation, were all meeting up on a world point. The world point was 22 Capricorn. So we knew they were all gonna get, getting together in March, uh, on it, and everybody was like, “Hmm.” Now, Saturn and Pluto, when they were fighting, was the World Trade Center.

Amanda: Mm. And the explosion. And in '94, when they were in a square, was the first bombing. So everybody knows, ooh, Saturn and Pluto, when they get together, it's not always so much fun.

Anne: It's not a ba—it's a family, but it's a bad family reunion.

Amanda: Hmm.

Anne: Jupiter makes everything bigger, but he hates being in Capricorn.

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: So everybody's like, “Okay, Saturn and Pluto are getting married, and Jupiter's officiating at the wedding, and this, this could be mean, 'cause it's, we're gonna have, like, a drunken brawl.” You know? It's gonna be like, what was that red wedding that they had on some TV show a while back? Ah.

Amanda: Right.

Anne: So everybody was looking at it going, “Wow.” And Seattle had stuff at 22. New York's Mercury is 22 Capricorn, so we got the virus in from Italy and, and, uh, Seattle got the China one, so it came in. And there was this huge eclipse that had gone across the country from Seattle to South Carolina, so all the astrologers were going, “Eclipses. Eclipses are here, too.” So we… There was a lot of stuff burbling. People had predicted in 2000 that there would be a pandemic and an economic short, uh, slowdown or economic impact. A guy named Barbeau, who's a French astrologer, predicted it back then. You know, and, you know, you can look ahead and say, “Oh, those are kind of mean planets.”

So we did that n—that, that 19, y—you know, we did the year ahead in 2020, and I said kind of nicer version of what I just said, 'cause we've already gone through it, so we've had our story, we've had our story open. And then when it hit in March, you called and you said, “Hey.” And I said, “Well, you know, it's probably gonna go on for a while.” So that's where we did the weekly weather for a y—almost a year and a half I think, right?

Amanda: Yeah, yeah.

Anne: It was through November of, of '21 when the, when we started getting it under control. So what happened when those planets broke up, they, they go at different speeds, and so in the fall of '20, fall of '21, they were having a, um, a, a p—a p—a fight, fall of '20, they were having a big fight getting ready to go, and Jupiter and Saturn got together at zero Aries on December 20th of 2020, and Pluto kind of stayed behind in Cap, and they took off. Now, when Jupiter and Saturn meet, they meet in years ending in zero, and they start a 20-year cycle.

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: So they said, “We're starting a new 20-year cycle. We blew up the world. We blew up the world point. Everybody got sent home. We all got to hang out and think about our structures, our lives, what our purpose was, why we were here.” Jupiter got out of Capricorn, so he wasn't so depressed anymore, and he hopped in the car with Saturn, and they drove off on December 20th, which if you, you know, you're do your politics, that was come to, come to the… Washington on January 6th will be wild. We, you know, we have… There was a whole story then, and I'm like, “Eh, me, me.”

So any rate, they're off and running. So now Jupiter and Saturn are traveling, and they're gonna take 20 years. They're gonna get together in 40. But as they go out, they do all the things that we see happen in a moon cycle. So think of when they got married on, it was a conjunction. And then they go forward, and they have a sextile, and then they have a square. And right now, Jupiter and Saturn are in what we call a trine, meaning they're working together. Saturn's in Aries, which is matches. Jupiter is in Leo, which is fireplaces, and they're fire is fire working together. But that's also why the world's on fire.

Amanda: Mm-hmm.

Anne: Why we feel like, “Oh my God, everything's so wild and out of control.” Now, Saturn was happy in Capricorn blowing everything up. He hates Aries.

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: Because he's like, “Everybody's so passionate. You're supposed to be dispassionate. You're supposed to pay attention to the structures. You're not supposed to go around lighting matches and blowing up stuff.” But Saturn went into Aries, and he met up with Neptune. Now he's married, got married to Nep—he's divorced Jupiter, now he's married to Nep—they're still friendly, though. And he got married to Neptune on February 20th of this year. Good. At zero Aries on another world point, and that happens to be the Declaration of Independence.

Amanda: Wow.

Anne: The bottom of our chart. The vision statement for the United States.

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: So now we're taking our structures, Saturn and Neptune, we're dissolving them. And because it's on a world point, the whole world is dissolving, too. The structures of the world are dissolving. And the last time Saturn and Neptune met was in '88, '89. We had the Berlin Wall fall. We had the EU, Europe get back together. We had the USSR break up. We had Tiananmen Square, the guy with the tanks. And then we went 35 years, and so in February of this year, we started a 35-year cycle with Saturn and Neptune, as opposed to the 20-year cycle that started on December 20th.

The Elemental Shift

Anne: So now because all the planets have left earth and water, where they were for 35 years, they've moved into fire and air. Fire and air is a very different reality than earth and water.

Amanda: Makes it feel fast.

Anne: Very yang, very proactive. Think of fire climbing the mount—you had the fires in Maui. Climb—they climbed a mountain. They didn't ring the bell or whatever they did, because they didn't want people running up the hill into the fire, you know, 'cause that's what you do when you ring the bell, the tsunami bell. I remember reading that when your fires burned down Maui.

Amanda: Mm-hmm.

Anne: And so we're in fire land, and all the outer planets have shifted into fire and air this year, and they're starting big new cycle, a new 35-year cycle. And they're all talking to each other, and they had a big party. Same guy, they were calling it Barbeau's Basket, you know, this summer. But it, the same Barbeau guy that predicted, you know, the, in the, uh, thing in 2020. So what happened was planets when they're under three are baby planets. When they get to four, they know what they like. You know, think of your daughters when they were four. “I don't like carrots, I like broccoli. Those shoes hurt. That's itchy.” You know, so when they're four, they're very opinionated little planets.

So in July, they all met at four, and the sun came through, and, and Jupiter went into Leo, so he was in fire too. So there's two fires, two airs, and the sun. And so he all talked to them in Ju—in June, July. He said, “So guys, what do you wanna do?” And they said, “This is our plan. ‘Cause we've been fooling around for the first three degrees, but now we have a plan.” And so now the plan is getting implemented. So we have outer planets. So the image I use for people is think of yourself standing, um, on a Broadwa—you're on a Broadway show, and the actors are in front of the curtain, and the curtain's pulled, and they're doing a scene. And then the curtain opens, and you have a whole new backdrop.

So the backdrop that we're against now is instead of earth and water, which is very stable, very reliable, very comfortable, doesn't move. You have to pick up the bucket of water. You have to dig the hole of earth. It's very stable. Now we're in fire and air, which they have a mind of their own. They fly around. Th—think of gusts of wind. Think of the jet stream at, you know, 500 miles an hour. Think of fire, matches, candles, fireplaces. So because they're shifting into this kind of volatile yang energy, as opposed to yin receptive holding, like earth and water do, that's why we're all feeling a little crazy.

So the sun met up with the four big guys, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto and Uranus. Saturn's a little out of the scoop 'cause he met with Neptune, and he's wandering. But the other four, he's talking to them all, but he… ‘Cause he's, he's like, “Well, I know I'm blowing up all your structures, so I'm paying attention to what you're burning to the ground. But it's okay. You guys figure out what you wanna do once it's all burned down.” So now the sun has marching orders from the planets in fire and air, the outer planets, and he has five planets at his disposal: himself, the moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. Those are called your personal planets.

So he's now talking to them, and he's saying, “Okay, guys, we have this vision that we're all supposed to make for the next 35 years. Our old life is done. Our new life is starting. The world's on fire. We invaded Iran two days, three days after the, the conjunction, screwed up the oil, screwed up the economy of everybody in the world. What are we gonna do about it?” And he's talking… So he's had his little… you know, he talks to the moon all the time. They're buddies. But he's now talking to Mercury and Venus retrograde, and they're in Scorpio. And their talk, they report into, Scorpio reports into Mars. Well, what sign is Mars in? Mars is in Leo. So Mars is saying, “This is the plan of what we're gonna do,” and he's helping Venus and Mercury negotiate it.

Now, before we go forward into a new chapter, and one of the things COVID did for us was it made us all go home and sit and think about our lives. Now we have to go in and clear out the Scorpio part of our chart, which is the psychological limitations that we all have. Wherever you have Scorpio is where you have a little fear, a little limitation, a little anxiety, a little eh. So Venus in Scorpio, Venus in Scorpio and Mercury in Scorpio are dancing with each other, like, for, like, a few weeks. I mean, they're really having a little waltz out there. We had the Cornell stuff. We had Taylor Swift's new video, Patient Zero, which is about, you know, no spoiler alert here, a guy killing his wife, and then she comes back as a ghost and tells the new one what to do to how to get out of here, you know? I mean, it's very Scorpio.

Amanda: Very—

Anne: Yeah… so look at all the Scorpio imagery, and then think about all of your early stuff, all of your stuff when you were little, 'cause remember, the reason we use orbs of 10 degrees is because things happen when you're under 10, they're really big.

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: And you remember them 'cause you're not able to be in control, 'cause you're, you're a little kid. So it's clearing out all of our feelings and our fears and our anxieties, which we're doing now. And then once they finish, which they're gonna do in a couple of weeks, then Mars is gonna go into Virgo, and he's gonna say, “Okay, let's have a to-do list. Let's get some stuff done. I got a list of things we're gonna work on.”

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: And he's gonna be in Virgo until July, 'cause he has a retrograde in Virgo, in Leo. Like, go back to the creative, take the to-do list, go back to the creative, get the to-do list. And he gets out of, he gets out of Virgo at the end of, middle of July. And then Jupiter goes into Virgo at the end of July for a year and a month.

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: So we're gonna be busy, busy, busy once Mars goes into Virgo, which will be, uh, November 27th, 28th. But what's happening is all of our personal planets are getting their instructions right now, and additionally, all the planets that we're bossing them around, the background planets, the background of our life, they're all retrograde right now. And so what I think of with them being retrograde is you do a movie, you get the cast together, everybody films it, all the scenes are shot, yay, yay, rah, rah, cast is released. It's a wrap. And then your director takes the film, goes to the editor, who says, “Edit the film.” That's the retrograde. That's what we're doing now.

All those four planets are backwards in retrograde. Five of them are backwards in retrograde. And they're gonna go direct. Pluto just went direct. All the, the other ones are going over the next couple wee—when they go direct, the film is edited and we get the actors together, we have a big party, we release the movie, and off we go. So we're right now with the planets retrograde. They're saying, “You guys make your plans, make your plans. This is good.” And because Saturn and Jupiter are trining each other, they're saying, “Think back to 2000.” So you called, and I'm like, “Amanda, right on time. Venus retrograde. My goddess, my goddess Venus in Scorpio is back. And what are we gonna do? We're gonna talk about the past. Mercury Scorpio.”

Amanda: Yes, yes, totally.

Anne: So you're gonna talk to your exes, you're gonna talk to your ghosts. And of course, because the planets are in fire and air, we don't get anything done unless we emotionally commit to it. So Venus and s—Venus and Mercury in Scorpio and, and all the retrogrades this year have been in water saying, “Are you gonna emotionally commit?” ‘Cause when you emotionally commit, you can talk about it all you want, that's air. You can vision it all you want, that's vision. But unless you get those emotions in there and you commit emotionally, it doesn't happen. So I was like, “Okay, so that's what we're doing.”

The Nodes in Aquarius & Leo

Anne: Now, the other part to remember, because the nodes are now in Leo and Aquarius, we all are here for a reason. And we're here to learn how to do our sun sign. So you're a Capricorn. You've built a business. You've… were very successful in your work in New York, and you've built a community, and it's kind of spiritual because of the way your chart is set up. It's got a, you know, how do we work with the higher realms, and your book very much about the journey that you went on to find your soul, or find your heart, right? I mean, you always had a heart, but it was like, like I knew I needed to do this for my soul. So writing that book is your expression of, um, your soul's work and, and what you've learned in your journey doing the Astrology Hub.

But the moon is what we know how to do well. That was our moon, our sun in the past life. But each of us are learning how to be the sun sign. So my favorite are the Libras that go, “Well, I'm supposed to be good at relationships, and I suck at them.” And I'm like, “Well, you're learning how to do relationships. It's not… It's you don't know how to do it. Go look at your moon. You know how to do that.” But you're supposed to do our, we're supposed to do our sun sign, and we're supposed to deliver the sun whatever house is ruled by Leo. That's where we're supposed to shine.

So what we're, the universe is saying to us, we're all supposed to shine, and we've seen a lot of the leaders leave as the sun hit Regulus. The south node hit Regulus. Dolly Parton, Gloria Steinem, Tim Curry, you know, people that we, we were inspired by or we think of as, wow, they left, and we are now supposed to step up and be the leaders in our… ‘Cause we're all still here, and we're all supposed to lead, do our sun, whatever it is, and we're supposed to shine in the house that the sun rules. So, and sometimes the house sun rules two. So I have 15 degrees Leo on the seventh house, so I, my work, my cat that came and howled earlier, and working with people one on one. That's where I'm supposed to bring my Virgo energy, 'cause I'm a Virgo sun sign.

So you're a, you're a, a, a, c—a Saturn girl, and you also have wherever Leo, your Saturn is in your Le—I remember, your Saturn's in your Leo house, and so one of the things we had talked about way back when when we were doing COVID, what Saturn in Leo is a master of ceremonies, and that's what you are. Or a mistress of ceremonies, if you prefer. And the ringmaster, you know, the ringmaster in the circus, right?

Amanda: Mm-hmm.

Anne: Not that we're calling astrology hub a circus, but we're saying, “Okay, come. See the, see the different people. Learn astrology in different ways.”

Amanda: Yeah.

Anne: And so you're shining that way by building community, and I'm, you know, I do, I do readings one on one, and I teach and I talk. I talk to you. Um, and you know, forward we go. So we're all supposed to shine now, and we're learning, we're learning to let go of our fears with the Venus and the Scorpio retrograde, 'cause that's, that's the scary part of our chart, where we go, “Oh.”

The Rest of 2026 & Young Planets

Anne: And these planets are very young. Venus is, you know, she's stationed at nine and she's having a cazimi at zero, and, and Saturn, you know, Mercury gets to 22 and he's going back to nine. And so they're all kinda like, “Oh, you know, that makes me nervous.” So we have to face our fears and kinda go in and do… Scorpio house is where we do therapy. It's where we do a deep dive into our psychology. And once this finishes, then Mars goes… He's in Leo for a little bit, and he then goes into Virgo and he says, “Okay, everybody get your to-do lists going. We got stuff to do.” And he's gonna bounce. He goes into Leo, y—because he's gonna be retrograde next year, so we always watch when he enters the sh—what's called the shadow. He enters the shadow on November 4th, 20 Leo. And then he goes in, he stations retrograde January 10th, and then he's backwards for a while. He goes direct in April in, at 20 Leo on the Node of Fate, and then he heads out and gets out of Virgo at the end of July. Middle of July, the 14th or so.

So we're getting new assignments. That's what's happening right now. And the idea is having your own vision and goal. Now—people like to make you afraid, 'cause when you're afraid, you're not thinking. You know, we have the fight, flight, flee, and somebody just added a fawn. I'm like, “A fawn? Okay, I like that too.” You know, fawn. Yeah. You know? But so those… The… When you're angry or when you're afraid, those, those, those instincts get triggered, and Mars in Leo, Mars is act—action, but in Leo it's righteous action. It's where I believe I'm right or where I believe I'm telling my truth. I'm gonna fight for my son. I'm gonna fight for what I'm here to fight for. So that's good.

So when you're listening to what you wanna fight for, and then you're listening to what you're afraid of, fear is contagious. Courage is contagious. And so you wanna listen to your heart and, uh, and say, “What does my heart wanna do here?” And of course Venus and the sun are meeting up. They're forming a communion of the sun and Venus, Venus ruling your heart, and that happens on October 23rd, and that starts a new eight-year cycle for everybody. But it also marks the end of 100 years of Venus and sun in Scorpio. So Venus and sun met up for 100 years in Scorpio, starting in 1926, and they are now leaving it and gonna go into Libra.

So if you think about what happened in October of '18, October of '10, October of 2002, October of 1994. So in my case, 1994, September of 1994, I sat on a couch and I started to learn astrology, and two months later I was like, “This is our blueprint. Why did nobody tell me there's a user manual?” Like, where was this all my life, right? So that was '94, and then in 2002, my birth—my office blew up on 9/11, 2001. So I was like, okay, I guess I'm gonna go stop working in corporate 'cause I can't go back to my office 'cause it blew up, and I guess I'm gonna be an astrologer. And by 2002, I made a living for a year as an astrologer.

Amanda: Yeah.

Anne: And then in 2010, I started doing podcasting. And then in 2000, uh, eight more, 2018, that's when I met you. That's when I came and did your month thing, and then I came back and did the year ahead, and then we had the COVID business. And now here you are, right before the Venus cazimi, going, “Hi, Anne.” And I'm like, “Hi, Amanda.” And we'll see what happens the next eight years. But the good news is, this eight years is gonna shift us into Libra, so Venus is moving out of her intense Scorpio energy into a sign she loves. So we can predict peace, harmony, and joy, but we have one more eight-year cycle of Venus in Scorpio to get through.

Amanda: Okay. So we have v—uh, I have so many—

Anne: I know. I just went on a—I've—

Amanda: Always—

Anne: I went on a run.

Amanda: That was amazing, by the way. That was just like… And that was, we haven't even really—

Anne: Taking you guys on a ride.

Amanda: Yeah. And we haven't even really looked at 2027 yet at all, but that's perfect because you really, like, set the stage. And I just, I'm, I'm sitting here remembering your astrology and the way that you do it with the characters, and it's just so visceral. Like, it just, it makes it come to life in such a unique way, and it's really, um, illustrating. Like, it, it really, you're a great teacher. I mean, I always knew that, but, like, you're a really great teacher. Okay.

Anne: I love teaching. And you know what happened to me?

Amanda: What?

Anne: My progressed sun on August 14th went into Sagittarius for the next 30 years. So I've been a Scorpio now for 30 years. Astrologer, right? One-on-one working with people.

Amanda: Yes.

Anne: But now I'm a Sag, so I'm gonna teach more, which is good, and travel more, and you know, I'm working at a, looking at a different work-life balance.

Amanda: If you love the way Anne teaches, just like I do, and just like I've been reminded of how incredible of a teacher she is, we are actually running an incredible special on one of the most popular classes that she taught for Astrology Hub. It's called Your Chart Signature, and it's really gonna help you. If you ever look at a chart and you're like, “What the heck? There's so much going on. How do I narrow it down? How do I get that big picture snapcho—snapshot?” That's what this class is gonna help you do. Yeah. So you're gonna get to, like, see that energetic blueprint of the chart very easily.

So now through November 2nd, you can get 25% off that class, and we are adding a live Q&A and chart reading, uh, demonstration. So you have an opportunity to get your chart read by Anne, to participate in the live Q&A and get your questions answered, and you get access to your chart signature all for 25% off. If you're an inner circle member, you can add 20% on top of that. So oh my goodness, if you do not have this class in your library, this is an amazing class. Even if you are a more advanced chart reader or, or intermediate, this is gonna be an amazing way for you to be able to sit down with someone, sit down with yourself, look at your chart, get that blueprint, get the, the sense of the chart very easily. Anne, do you wanna say anything about the class?

Anne: I think of it as a good Christmas present, too.

Amanda: Ah, I love that.

Anne: A holiday present. Well, because it's one of those things. It's like a, it's an evergreen energy.

Amanda: Yeah.

Anne: Obviously, you don't wanna miss the live, but, you know, you can give it to them and say, “Hey, early Christmas present, early Hanukkah present, early Kwanzaa present.” You know, the idea being, hey, what are we doing? And also kind of giving people a chance because when you go back and look at basics, I know when I go back and teach a basics class—

Amanda: Mm-hmm.

Anne: —um, you know, it gets you back thinking like the way you used to, you know, 'cause you get… You know, you fly around with astrology, right?

Amanda: Yeah.

Anne: But I go back to basics. So it's very, it's very much, you know, how you analyze a chart and how you rank it, how you figure it out. And when I teach beginners, uh, you know, like, how you kind of look at the chart and kind of Virgo-enly, systematically go through, well, what does that mean, and what does that mean? It, it's kind of a good, uh, tool for you to actually use when you're analyzing other people's charts. You'll eventually have your own cliff notes the way you do it, but that's what I was taught and what I teach my students. ‘Cause what will happen is everybody develops their own way of going in a chart.

Amanda: Mm-hmm.

Anne: But that initial how do I do it, and then the this is how you do it. Yeah. Or this is an approach. And then you modify. You go, “Ah, that's good, but I like to add this other stuff.”

Amanda: Right.

Anne: But it's kind of the basic, it's a basic recipe.

Amanda: It's a basic recipe—

Anne: And then with, with lots of nice notes in the, in the margins.

Amanda: Mm-hmm. Um, yeah, so if you wanna add this, now's a great time to do it. There's great pricing, plus you're gonna get to do that live Q&A and have your, have a chance to get your chart read. So go to astrologyhub.com/signature. Check that out. See if it's one that you would like to have on your shelf as one of your foundational chart reading courses. And we are super excited to be bringing this back to life, Anne. Well, that's available for a—all of you right now. Go check it out. Astrologyhub.com/signature. All right. Okay. So the outer planets—

Anne: Yes…

Amanda: —have been doing a very unique dance with each other since 2020.

Anne: Mm-hmm.

Amanda: They, and then recently they moved from earth and water into fire and air, all of them. So, and they—

Anne: All of them.

Amanda: —and they are the ones informing and directing our personal planets.

Anne: Exactly.

Amanda: I—

Anne: Exactly. They're the backdrop of our life. Think of them as the stage against which our life is projected against.

Amanda: Right. Okay. So the stage just turned fiery and airy, and now all that e—

Anne: Dark and earthy…

Amanda: —yeah. And now all that energy is, is channeling into our personal planets, and, but, but we're young. We're, we're still babies, so we're just learning. We're, we're getting new information, new ideas, n—we're four. New directions. I like that. I don't like. Also, we're realizing that we might be afraid of the dark. There's, like, little shadowy things that i—within us that are scary that are coming back into our awareness, not to torment us, but to help us clear those things out so we can move forward. When Mars and Jupiter are in Virgo with a to-do list, we can't have all these niggly little fears and things blocking our forward momentum.

Anne: You got it.

Amanda: Okay. You got it. Mm-hmm. So, I, I'm going back to when we used to talk all the time, and we would talk about doing your Saturn. Yeah. Is there a reason why you're saying the focus now is on our sun?

Anne: No. Saturn is your structure and your work. Okay. But he's, he's at zero Aries, so he just started a new cycle on February 20th.

Amanda: Right.

Anne: He just entered, well, he entered into Aries in June of last year, but he just fiddled around in there.

Amanda: Right.

Anne: He didn't, he didn't meet up. He didn't meet anybody. He just was out prowling.

Amanda: Okay.

Anne: But he hung out with Neptune and got drunk on February 20th. And he said, “Baby, baby.” And she said, “Well, hello.”

Amanda: Drunk and maybe some psychedelics too.

Anne: I, did a little drugs. Probably did a little drugs, right? He's kind of like, “I'm traveling here.” But he's an Aries, so Aries starts a new 29-year cycle for everybody. The last time he was in Aries was '98, '99.

Amanda: Okay.

Anne: Which was the dot-com crash.

Amanda: Okay.

Anne: And it was year 2K, we're all gonna die, we're all gonna die, right?

Amanda: Right.

Anne: So how many of you are feeling we're all gonna die, we're all gonna die. And we're all still here.

Amanda: Right.

Anne: So we didn't die, but we did… You know, in IT, I took a… The, my last IT job, I ended, you know, '90, '98, you know, I took my last IT job, which was the half, 'cause there's a halfway mark. ‘Cause when the sun and Venus meet up, it's a new moon, and then four years later it's like a full moon.

Amanda: Mm-hmm.

Anne: Sun, Venus, full. So it's out in the world. So '98 I took my last corporate gig, doing, 'cause they were paying tons of money for IT people, and I converted a system for Pepsi that kept track of every vending machine, Visicooler, and fountain in America. I, I would… had half the country and there was another guy that had the other half, and we were, we all worked together as a team converting all this stuff. So the world didn't fall apart on Y2K. And everybody goes, “It was a hoax.” I'm like, “No, we worked our asses off.”

Amanda: Right.

Anne: But that was my last corporate gig, and I knew it was gonna be, 'cause I knew I wanted to be an astrologer.

Amanda: Right.

Anne: And that's what happened after, when we got to the blowup of my bo—my office. Right. I was like, “All right, no more wimpy Virgo. Get your butt out there and go be an astrologer.”

Amanda: Wow. It's amazing how life—

Anne: Does this…

Amanda: —gets to do things, right? So Anne, okay.

2027 Shifts

Amanda: Let's, let's talk about 2027 a little more.

Anne: Okay.

Amanda: So what's, what's gonna change? What's gonna shift? What, what do you feel are the big players to keep our eyes on as we go into the next year?

Anne: Well, the key, the key always is the nodes of fate. So the nodes of fate are in Leo and Aquarius, and they're always opposite each other. And they went into Leo at the end of July. And so the eclipses that we're going to have, we have eclipses on February 6th and February 20th. One's at 17 Aquarius, and the other's at 2 Virgo. We had eclipses in August on August 12th at 20 Leo, and at 4 Pisces on August 28th. And then we're gonna have three eclipses when we get to the summer. We're gonna have one, uh, on July 18th at 25 Capricorn. We're gonna have one on August 2nd on 9 Leo. And then we're gonna have another one, a lunar eclipse, on, uh, 24 Aquarius. Wow, that's unusual, right? Wow. To have three like that.

Amanda: Mm-hmm. I can't remember the last time that happened. Been a while. Whoa, okay.

Anne: And so what the Leo eclipse is, how are you shining your sun? Okay. And the Aquarius is, 'cause the south node's in Leo, it's saying, what is your sun sign? How are you doing your sun?

Amanda: Hmm.

Anne: Go do your sun, whatever it is.

Amanda: Hmm.

Anne: And bring it out to the greater collective.

Amanda: Hmm.

Anne: Bring it out to the Aquarians. Bring it out to the world. Okay. Everybody has their path. Whatever you're doing, your own unique path, whatever that is, you're gonna shine that light. And of course, Pluto's in Aquarius, which says the collective is big. It's what our community is. It's what our contribution is to the collective. So the nodes are gonna be in Leo and Aquarius for a year and a half, and we have five eclipses next year. And it's unusual to have the Virgo eclipse, that little guy, uh, in February because w—we should be done with Virgo, but it's like an aberration.

So again, very aberrant year, but it's in Virgo and it's gonna be during the Mars retrograde in Virgo. And it's, it, you know, so there's a lot of emphasis on Virgo/Leo, so what's your work and what's your creativity, and we're bouncing back and forth between them. And the Mercury retrogrades are also in, they bounce back and forth too.

Mercury Retrogrades

Anne: So with the Mercury retrograde in February is Pisces-Aquarius, and then we have one in June, which is Cancer-Gemini, and then we have one in October, which is Scorpio-Libra. So right now, th—all the retrogrades this year have been water, water, water.

Amanda: Mm-hmm.

Anne: Now they're gonna be water-air. So now that I've emotionally cleared you, what are your ideas now? Okay. So we've got the three Mercury retrogrades in water and air, and so the water kind of cures out the emotions, and then the air says, “Take it out. Take it, take it flying.”

Amanda: Hmm.

Anne: And we think of water and air, they don't really get along. You know, they're kinda opposite energies. But water with waves from the air, but also really setting the water, setting it free. Think of when a dolphin jumps or a fish jumps or, you know, you see something leap out of the water, and you go, “Oh, there's a dolphin in the water.” That's kind of that energy. So we're getting back to the air to get the vision and the ideas.

Amanda: Mm-hmm. Hmm.

Saturn in Aries

Anne: Saturn's in Aries all year long. He is gonna be, uh… He is gonna be curmudgeonly. He does not like Aries. The good news is Mars is in Virgo for a good chunk of the year, and the two of them are in a negotiation that's called a quincunx. So they're… So when you get that feeling, make a list and say to Saturn, “I made this list. Are you happy with the list? Did I miss anything?” ‘Cause Saturn, as your authority figure, is going to be a little crabby about your list. “Did you remember your mittens? Did you really allow enough time for testing? Are you sure that's gonna happen?”

And Mars in Virgo is very sensitive to criticism, as is Jupiter in Virgo. So everybody's gonna be a little thin-skinned. So the goal is to be kind, because Mars in Virgo and Jupiter in Virgo, basically the whole year, are like, you know, “You're giving me crap again. You're, you're telling me… What are you, what are you saying? You didn't do the dish—look at, look at that, you didn't clean the spot.” You know, Virgo can be… I mean, I'm a Virgo, so I can say mean things about us, but we can be very discerning, and we can also be very fussy and picky, you know? So we gotta watch that a little bit, 'cause the Jupiter in Virgo is kind of like, you know, I'm just… I, when I see that in somebody's chart and they're a performer or something, I say, “You know, never read your reviews.”

Amanda: Hmm.

Anne: You know, turn off the comments on your, your Instagram posts 'cause people gonna say mean stuff.

Amanda: Hmm.

Anne: And that's okay, but that's the Jupiter in Virgo. And then the other guys, the outer planets, are all getting up to seven, eight, nine. Now, when you're seven, eight, nine, think if you're in school. And you got friends, you learn math, you learn how to play kickball, you get to pick your clothes, you bring your mother… You bring the lunch to school and you trade it away 'cause you don't like it. Um, I have a little friend who's in kindergarten, very excited 'cause they have a salad bar. And that is his report to his grandmother. “I… Mom, Grandma, there's a salad bar in h—how school. There's a salad bar.” Oh, my God. Not school, but the salad bar. Yeah. So it's, like, where do we find the joy? Yeah.

Now, Jupiter's in Leo until we get to July. You know, he goes up to 27 this year on December 10th, and then he goes backwards to, I think, 17, and then he goes forward again. And so he's in Leo the first half of the year, so that's where we wanna focus on the joy part, and what is it we wanna create.

Jupiter in Virgo

Anne: And then when he goes into Virgo, that's when he's like, “Okay, we need the paint, we need the wallpaper, we need the, you know, we need the work part of it.” ‘Cause once Jupiter goes into Virgo, it's work. Now, Jupiter in Virgo is also a little poor. So when planets are in Virgo, people tend to feel a little bit tight in the money. I call it the peanut butter planets, 'cause, you know, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, ramen noodles. College. Um, h—college. Jupiter in Virgo. Yeah.

Amanda: That's what I ate. Yep. Yeah. And that's…

Anne: It's, so it's a little bit poorer. Yeah. So that's the thing people are gonna maybe feel a little, you know, and obviously if the oil keeps being crazy and the prices are crazy. So.

Amanda: Yeah. Wow.

Anne: So we also, with the Virgo, we're gonna focus on health, we're gonna focus on our, you know, our d—digestive systems. We're gonna focus on g—what the origin story is around our stuff. It tends to be, Virgos tend to be the, you know, “I take my antibiotic. No, I take my vitamin C. I take my, do my juicing, I do my vegetables, I do my fruits.” Lot of gardening energy with Virgo. Um, t—you know, public, you know, doing, uh, supporting your community, sponsored agriculture. Victory gardens back when we had the wars. And so that's the Jupiter in Virgo.

But the other planets, they're all nine, eight, ten, nine, so they're kind of feisty. So if you have planets, right now anything between five and zero got activated this year. Next year it's three to nine.

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: So those outer planets are gonna form some kind of aspect to any planet you have between three and nine.

Uranus in Gemini

Anne: Uranus is in Gemini for seven years, an air sign he loves. So look at your Gemini house. He's gonna spend seven years going through that house breaking things apart. Gemini is siblings. Uranus is ab—abrupt ruptures. When he was in Gemini the last time was 84 years ago, June of '41, World War II. Time before that was the Civil War, brother against brother in the United States. Crimean War, interestingly too. And then the time before that was the Declaration of Independence, we're breaking off from L—from England, and also the French Revolution.

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: Neptune in Aries is gonna be in Aries for 14 years. We just finished 14 years of him in Pisces, which was the t—old time it was the gold, California Gold Rush. It's Bitcoin this time. So if you're in Bitcoin, you maybe wanna take your money off the table before it gets excited and leaves you. Just saying. It's in Aries now. Neptune's in Aries for 14 years, and that was the Civil War, fighting for what we believe in. Aries is fighting, Neptune is what do you believe in. So it's very important for all of us to be very clear what I believe in this, and I'm gonna fight for it, 'cause that's what I'm gonna—

Amanda: And as you're saying in my heart? Whatever your Aries house is is where you're gonna—

Anne: Whatever Aries house is.

Amanda: Okay. But it's also Neptune in Aries, what do I believe in and what am I willing to fight for, 'cause Aries is a fighting sign.

Anne: Neptune is a belief sign.

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: Uh, and then Pluto in Aquarius is 20 years, and he went into Aquarius for good, for true, uh, in November of 24, uh, after the elections. It was in Capricorn during the election, so we stuck with the Capricorn people instead of new people. And so he's in Aquarius for 20 years, but the last time he was in Aquarius was the American Revolution, and the time before that, the Protestant Reformation.

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: And in that case, the church was abusing power, and France and England got together and bumped the church, 'cause they were selling indulgences. You know, “Go ahead and sin a lot and give me some money and we'll forgive you. It doesn't matter what you do.” And Pluto in Capricorn, the, the American Revolution, the French Revolution, no ruling, no kings. No kings. We're having no king rallies. I mean, it's very literal.

Amanda: Mm-hmm.

Anne: So remember, astrology, history doesn't repeat, but it rhymes. So those four guys, those three guys are working together, and they're all talking to each other. Now, when Uranus and Pluto got together in the '60s in Virgo, they started a 138-year cycle. Now they're in a trine, five trines in air between now and '30, and they're saying, “So what is it you believe in? What is it you… How do you wanna transform the world? How do you wanna transform the community so that it helps your, helps you feed your beliefs?”

And those three guys are all talking to each other. They're very interested in ideas and vision, and when they, when they're in visionary signs, they come up with, “Hey, why don't we launch a man to the moon? Why don't we learn how to fly? Why don't we run a four-minute mile? Why don't we invent telephone, telegraphs? Why don't we, why don't we, why don't we…” It's a visionary time, so letting your vision fly and your ideas fly, and not editing them and telling them to someone who goes, “Oh, how is that gonna happen?” Anybody says that to you, just kinda go, “I'm not gonna tell you any more of my ideas. I'm just gonna go do it.”

Right. Because that's… The, the, the baby planets, they're only four. They're five, they're six, they're seven, they're eight, they're nine. You know, you don't know how to play. You're always picked last for the game. Well, I was never picked first. I'd like to go out in the kickball and I'd be dancing with my shadow out there, you know, and the ball would go by. Like, gym was not my favorite thing, you know? Okay, not good at gym. I get it. You're g—I don't… What am, what am I s—playing with a stupid ball for anyway? I'd rather be out dancing in the light with the, making the shadow, you know, doing little rabbit things and whatever.

So—oh, you follow your bliss. Think about a little eight-year-old, 10-year-old when they're engaged, and they're so, like, “Oh, I love this,” and they're not shot down. So anybody shoots down your dreams, we do not talk to them again, or you just don't tell them the dream, you just go do it. Because Saturn in Aries is a curmudgeon. He's gonna go, “What do you think you can do that for?” And he's gonna be, like, 17, so he's gonna be like an obnoxious 17-year-old saying, “I don't know where you think you're gonna get away with that. I'm gonna criticize you and make you feel bad.” Mars, you know, Saturn's answering to Mars and Virgo. He's gonna know exactly what to say. So if somebody says mean things to you, you just go, “Not listening to you.”

Amanda: Mm. You—you know what I noticed, Anne?

Anne: Yeah.

Amanda: Whenever I, I have an internal fear about doing something, I will inevitably, the person I share it with is gonna reflect that back to me. And so it's m—often I'll be like, “Oh, that's so interesting. I told that one person who had that, that resistance. That's actually showing me that I have a resistance inside of myself.” So it's—

Anne: Mm-hmm…

Amanda: —you know, it's, it's, looks like it's out there, but really I just need to, to work on it in here.

Anne: Yeah.

Amanda: And then you end up telling your ideas to people that are like, “Oh my God, this is the best idea ever,” like, “Yes, you know, I wanna help you. I wanna support you. I w—I wanna help you bring it forward.” So Anne, if I were to have, if, if I were to sum all this up—

Anne: Mm-hmm.

Amanda: —which used to be one of my favorite things to do on our weekly weather, if you—

Anne: I know…

Amanda: —remember.

Anne: You, you would take notes and make me sound good. It was really good.

Amanda: Yeah. Well, I've been taking notes.

Anne: Well, no, you would always do the big… You would kind of go, “Okay, let's, let's…” You, what you always do, Amanda, which is really good, 'cause you're Saturn in Leo, is you elevate it, and you present it in a way that's like, “Oh, I said that? Well, that sounds really good.”

Amanda: No—

Anne: That's—

Amanda: That's great.

Anne: —you know? It's one of those super—

Amanda: Yeah.

Anne: Okay… it's one of your superpowers is what we're gonna say.

Amanda: Well, here's what I'm getting. It's that a new plan has been implemented, both for the world, so the world is transforming as we know, and in each of our individual lives. There's a, there's a new like software that's been downloaded.

Anne: Mm-hmm.

Amanda: And s—and so we've been kind of in this time of reorienting, because everything is new and different, and the way that we used to live, the way we used to think, the way we used to operate is gone.

Anne: Yeah. So we're now in a new time. We have new assignments you said. Y—you can look to your sun—

Amanda: To… and then the, the planet that rules your sun, right? To really start to understand your instructions.

Anne: Right. Mm-hmm.

Amanda: Yeah. And then, and then w—a lot, because of the eclipses next year and the signs that they're, the, the, the nodes of, the, uh, nodes of fate, the points of fate.

Anne: The nodes of fate. Yeah…

Amanda: I love how you call it that, 'cause it's, it's, it's so true. I mean, it really is. Right? So tho—those are gonna be about your sun, again, but then also how you're sharing that with the world. So how are you—

Anne: We always have to feed the south node. So we have to feed our sun. That is the—

Amanda: Right…

Anne: —the south node's in Leo, and then we carry it n—to the north node, and we give it out to the king. Yes. We create it, 'cause we create something, and we go, “Ooh, I made this great brownie. Ooh, I made this great astrology. Ooh, I made this wonderful book. I made this song.” And I wanna bring it out to the world. Whatever your, whatever your sun sign is, you, I'm gonna grow beautiful flowers, I'm gonna bring them out to the world.

Amanda: Right.

Anne: And share them with the community.

Amanda: Yes.

Anne: Between now and 2027, we're really focused on clearing out any resistance or fear that we carry around doing those kinds of things, which we all have.

Amanda: Yeah. You know, what are they gonna say? Am, am I gonna be criticized? It, what if it fails? You know, I, it failed before. What if it fails again? You know, those, those kinds of things that we carry with us that make us not do it, which—

Anne: And remember, Uranus is in Gemini. Right. You're gonna have to do everything two times.

Amanda: Okay. You're gonna have to do everything two times. So do a quick little trial.

Anne: Yes. Do a pilot. Yes. And then once you've proved the concept, do the big thing.

Amanda: Oh, my God, Anne, I, I, I, like, literally… this is so valuable. That, that, that's also trusting when it, like, that you're learning something the first time. It's not because you're being punished. You learn something the first time. And that delay is necessary for you to do it right the second time or, or even more right.

Anne: Exactly. Yes. Okay. Right. And it, uh, you know, it impro—it improves. You know, like—

Amanda: Right…

Anne: —I mean, I, when I make a recipe I always follow the recipe exactly the first time.

Amanda: Yes.

Anne: And then I go, needs more garlic, needs less milk, whatever, and I write in my cookbooks.

Amanda: Oh, that's so Virgo.

Anne: ‘Cause I know, I know. Thank you. ‘Cause I'm like, “This is okay, but it needs a little more garlic.” ‘Cause when I go back to it and it's got a note or a little mark in it, I made it before.

Amanda: Yes.

Anne: And a lot of times I, you know, I go back to recipes 'cause I like the way they came out. But I, I—

Amanda: Right…

Anne: —indicate what I'd, what I'd like to which… And I always follow it exactly the first time.

Amanda: Yes.

Anne: And, and then I tweak, and that's the Gemini.

Amanda: So dress rehearsals. Dress rehearsals, yes.

Anne: Or practices.

Amanda: Do—plan, plan in the fact that you're gonna have to do it a couple times, so plan the time to do that.

Anne: Mm-hmm.

Amanda: And, and don't be disappointed when that happens and you're like, “Okay, take two.” Like, we, we gotta try that again, right? But then make your little notes in the, in the cookbook for the things that worked and the things that didn't work. And remember, everybody else is having the same transits.

Anne: Yes.

Amanda: So they may not know that they're gonna have to do it twice, or they may not know that there's a problem.

Anne: And you know, when people start complaining to me I just say, “You know, the world's a little bit broken right now.”

Amanda: Yeah.

Anne: You have to do it again.

Amanda: Yeah.

Anne: Don't take it personally. It's not per—and they maybe had something come up and they couldn't bup, bup, bup, bup and whatever.

Amanda: Yeah. Yep. Don't take it personally, just go,

Anne: “Well, let's reschedule.” And try again. Yeah. Because that's the, that's the Uranus in Gemini. It's not gonna be a one and done.

Amanda: Right.

Anne: Okay. There's always something, and it can be them, it can be you, it can be the car breaking down, it can be the internet. It's gonna be something with Uranus in Gemini. Or technology. Unexpected, unexpected.

Amanda: Yes. Okay. The, the, the thing that's hard when that happens is when you didn't give yourself enough time. So I, to me—

Anne: It's like—or you don't, you don't have a little extra… Yeah. Right. So you do need, with the Mars in Virgo… And what I would, what I recommend with Mars in Virgo is actually schedule in, “This is when I'm gonna write.” ‘Cause it, Mars in Virgo, it's kind of like when I used to do Weight Watchers. They were like, “Write it down, 'cause then you're aware of what you've done.”

Amanda: Right.

Anne: And write it down and schedule in the exercise. Schedule in the d—don't just say, “Oh, I'm gonna do it.” Like, actually schedule it, 'cause Mars in Virgo has a real desire to be repetitive and organized in re—redoing.

Amanda: Yes.

Anne: So in the Catholic Church, the priests have to say mass every day. And that's Mars and Virgo. It's a ritual for them. So what are your ritual things? So like for me, I get up, I do my morning little Tai Chi stuff, feed the cat, 'cause man, if I don't, we're in trouble. Then I get my coffee, then I sit down and I check my emails and I do a morning morning with a couple people that are afraid they're gonna die, and so I, “Are you alive?” They're like, “I'm alive,” 'cause otherwise I'm gonna call 911. And then I go, “Okay, now let me look at my calendar. What's my day?”

And I have that little ritual set aside, right? And, you know, you wanna build the rituals in because you're not going to have time, because the sky is air and fire. You're not gonna have time if you don't put 'em in your schedule, and you don't say, “This is when I'm going to get my nails done. This is when…” And it sounds weird, but the whole thing with Virgo is work, work, work, work. We need to do the Pisces meditation, quiet time, spiritual time, floating in the bathtub, lying on your back listening to helpful music, watching rom-coms. That helps because the, so much Virgo energy is gonna want a break.

Amanda: Hmm.

Anne: And so, but, but scheduling it because it's gonna be da, na, na, na, na. You know, it's like the song from The Wizard of Oz. Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na. That's good. And you wanna go, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, no. No witch is getting me.” Right. I'm scheduling the, I'm gonna schedule in that mani-pedi, and I'm not gonna overbook. Gonna be really easy to overbook.

Amanda: Yes. Okay.

Anne: But big white spaces, and then, you know, something's gonna come in to fill 'em, trust me.

Amanda: Right. So that's where the Virgo discernment…

Anne: Mm-hmm.

Amanda: …you know—and Virgo being able to, to actually discern what needs to happen versus what n—needs to be said no to.

Anne: Right.

Amanda: Right?

Anne: Yes. Okay.

Amanda: And you also said that this is a time for us to let our vision and ideas fly, and to not censor ourselves or be discouraged by feedback that is not supportive, and to really just, this is a new, this is a new time and space, so take advantage of that opportunity. Jupiter is going through your Leo house since Ju—end of July, and he's saying, “This is your assignment for the next 12 years.”

Anne: “This is how you're supposed to shine in the world.” There's so many new assignments.

Amanda: I mean, if you really think about it, they're all basically saying, “Okay, here's, here's the new script. Here's the new—”

Anne: New vision…

Amanda: “—the new vision.” It's so amazing. So if you feel disoriented right now, or if you feel kind of confused, or if you feel like you don't know what you're doing, if you feel like you don't know where you're going—

Anne: All normal.

Amanda: —that you're, like, actually exactly where you need to be. And Anne, thank you so much for being with us. So nice to see you again on Venus retrograde, Mercury retrograde. And—

Anne: It's so good to see you in Chicago, too.

Amanda: It's so good. And, and I cannot tell you how many people in our community love you. I mean, you really were this bright, shining star that just kept people going in a very dark time, and I'm so happy you're still doing your thing and shining so bright, and that we get to play as well. Yeah. Yeah.

Anne: Astrology, astrology pals, yeah. No, and it's good. It's kind of one of those… It's also… and, and all of you, 'cause it is Venus retrograde and Mercury retrograde in Scorpio. Thinking about your old relations, thinking about old ideas.

Amanda: Yes.

Anne: Hearing from your ghosts.

Amanda: Yes.

Anne: You have people calling you, “And I, you know, I haven't talked to you in a while, and I was thinking about you.” And you're like, “Oh, hi, how are you? I was thinking about you, too.” Wow. So it's got that until the middle of December when they leave their shadow.

Amanda: Mm-hmm. Mm.

Anne: So this is a time… And again, they were part of your life, right? So what we're doing now is painting our new life.

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: So they were formative. They were experiences. They were part and parcel of how you got to where you are now.

Amanda: Yeah.

Anne: And that's part of the sum of your being, and now you go, “Okay, now I'm evolving.” But it's always good to go back and read those old love letters.

Amanda: Right.

Anne: Go back and hang out with those people that you haven't talked to in a while, you know?

Amanda: Right.

Anne: So I had a, I had a friend in visiting, um, for a c—photography course, and I met her in eighth grade on the bus.

Amanda: Mm-hmm.

Anne: And then my neighbor down the hall, I've been neighbors with her… So I've been friends with Dunford for 58 years or so. And my neighbor down the hall I've known for 47 years. And so I had them both over, and we had taken Italian food. And they know each other, 'cause Dunford's visited over the years, and they were having a fabulous time, and I was having a f—it was just, like, reunion time—

Amanda: Yeah.

Anne: —of heart people. Yeah. And so if there's a heart person you… ‘Cause the other thing with COVID, and I've been thinking about this with myself, we lost track of people. You know—

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: —it kind of blew up everybody's life, and we came out and we went zooming off in our new Saturn Jupiter car, and we maybe left people behind.

Amanda: Hmm. Yeah.

Anne: So this is an excellent time to kinda, you know, you lost people since COVID, maybe check back in.

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: ‘Cause they're supposed to hear from their ghosts, too.

Amanda: Mm.

Anne: Oh my God. So people that you maybe left or you missed or you… You know, you just got busy, life carried you off.

Amanda: Right.

Anne: This is an excellent time between now… And, and then they remember things, and you remem—remember things, and there's this memory bonding thing that goes on, which is very—

Amanda: Nice. Amazing.

Anne: Yeah.

Amanda: So good. Okay. Thank you, Anne. It's been such a pleasure.

Anne: Thank you, Amanda. It's been fun. And I will… If you guys haven't bought Amanda's book, buy her book. It's really good.

Amanda: Thank you, Anne.

Anne: No, it's really good. It's very… It made me cry a couple times, you know?

Amanda: Oh my gosh. I was so touched that you read it. I didn't know you read it, but when you told me in Chicago that you read it, I was like, “Oh, wow, you've read my book.”

Anne: Mm-hmm.

Amanda: “That's so sweet.” It was amazing.

Anne: You lo—you left out parts. I'm like, “That's all we hear about Mr. Taurus?”

Amanda: Well, I ended in 2017.

Anne: I know. We only hear about Mr. Taurus? Come on. Like, where's Mr. Taurus here? Can—

Amanda: We… I ended… Because there's—

Anne: Gonna be another—I used to make you blush over Mr. Taurus.

Amanda: You totally did. Oh my God. There's gonna be another book someday, Anne.

Anne: But that was really good. Like, you blew him off.

Amanda: Yeah, I know. Oh, God, he talks about it all the time. Um—

Anne: Well, I was like, “She blew off Mr. Taurus? Wow.” So—so, you know, I got a little scoop there I didn't have before.

Amanda: You did.

Anne: ‘Cause when I, when we worked in 2020, '21, he worked… He was around. He wasn't—

Amanda: Yes…

Anne: —he wasn't a MIA guy. He was, he was present.

Amanda: Yeah. He was very, very established by then. Three—

Anne: Yeah, yeah…

Amanda: —three, four years in. Yes.

Anne: Yeah, yeah, but I… When you said no to him, I'm like, “Amanda Walsh, what did you say to Mr. Taurus?”

Amanda: Oh, me too. And I walked away, and I was like, “What the heck? Am I crazy?” Like, how did I just say no to that guy? But it came out before I could even think of it.

Anne: I know. I know. Yes. Well, you wrote it in a beautiful way. You know—

Amanda: Thank you…

Anne: —it was really funny the way you wrote it, and I could hear you… I could hear you go, “No.” I'm like, “All right, that's that Capricorn steps right up and goes, ‘I don't think so.'” And then, and then of course, you know, he's a Taurus. They never give up. They're, they're men with plans, so it's good.

Amanda: Oh my God. Okay, you guys. Thank you so much for being here. Thank you for being a part of our community. Cannot wait to catch you on the next episode. Take care, everybody.

Anne: Bye, everybody. Have a good time.
