You love a good gotcha – especially when you catch the culprit red-handed. For weeks you lay in wait, knowing that a certain someone would eventually mess up. And he will on September 16th or 25th. But something you didn’t take into account were the difficult circumstances he’s had to contend with. It wasn’t that long ago when you faced a similar financial hardship or personal dilemma, and even though you made different choices, you can see how he arrived at where he is now. Obviously, you can’t let him off the hook, but you can show him the way back to the path he’s strayed from.

On September 4th, Mars enters Cancer. Cancer is the zodiac sign most associated with hearth, home, and family. Many people equate it with an idealized past, giving it the rumpled folksiness of a Norman Rockwell painting, but not all families are the Waltons. Sometimes they’re the Sopranos, and Mars traveling through this sign is bound to bring up conflicts with the outside world. Cancer is tribal by nature. Blood ties will always supersede social ones, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself torn between family and friends, tradition and love, or facing some kind of upset in your personal life. This may fly in the face of what feels comfortable and familiar, but we don’t live in a world of white picket fences and manicured lawns anymore. “Family” has evolved in both meaning and reality. It may feel strange having to make certain adjustments and sacrifices over the next few weeks, but it’s meant to expand your understanding of family and not diminish it. Mars will be in Cancer from September 4th to November 3rd.

Being the target rather than the cause, there really wasn’t anything you could do, which is why you’re fortunate to have other people who could intervene on your behalf. It will come as a relief to see things finally set right. However, Pluto’s retrograde back into Capricorn on September 1st means that the matter won’t be completely settled until mid-November. It’s not great news for your frayed nerves, but you need to focus on other things now. Like a scab that’s better left alone – it will heal on its own.

Did you say your good-byes too soon? Premature endings and unexpected reappearances have been known to happen when Uranus turns retrograde. This could give you a second chance to get things right in a troubled relationship, or it signals the return of that bane-to-your-existence whom you hoped was gone for good. There will either be squeals of delight or groans of despair on September 1st. Another thing to keep an eye on is Ruling Planet Pluto retrograding back down into Capricorn on the same day. This shows a disapproving critic giving you the last-minute boost you need to get up and over a hurdle.
