AQUARIUS HOROSCOPE

Being true to what's true is easy, but being true to yourself? Well, that's where things get complicated. People often think of Aquarians as mavericks, people who march to the beat of a different drummer. Actually, Aquarians would love to march alongside everyone else (who doesn't love a parade?), but they were born with an out-of-sync quality that makes them stand out despite their best efforts to blend in. This week you'll be asked to choose between what's good for you versus what would be good for everyone else. Usually you opt for everyone else, but this time you might surprise yourself.

Recent changes have left you feeling overwhelmed. It must be exhilarating to see so many things come to fruition at once and then be faced with such enormous decisions. This would be a good time to remember that Pluto, planet of transformation, is currently in your sign. Pluto ensures that you have all of the time in the world to do what you need to do. Moreover, it won't let outside pressures or other people’s deadlines force your hand. Tune into the steady, calm, and focused energy of this planet and you'll become the driver of events instead of the person that events are driving over.

A disagreement you thought had been resolved amicably comes undone when retrograde Venus squares Pluto on October 20th. Either the person you were dealing with had a change of heart or there is an additional party who is now coming forward with fresh demands. The good thing about Pluto in your sign is that you have already prevailed. Pluto rules Venus in Scorpio, thereby giving it the final say. The not-so-good thing about Pluto in Aquarius is that it won't stop other parties from trying to get their way anyway. Thankfully, this all gets sorted out when Venus reenters Libra on October 25th.

Make a point of dotting all the i’s and crossing all the t’s because that pitch, request, or contract that you're working on right now looks like it’s going to deliver beyond your wildest expectations. Don’t leave anything out because the Sun/Jupiter sextile on October 15th says that whatever’s in writing will be fulfilled to the letter. There’s no such thing as being too specific. Meanwhile, get your running shoes on because what you proposed is so brilliant and the need for you is so great that there will be no waiting on ceremony. You’ll be racing to catch up to events already in motion.

Aquarius people are Astrology's great communicators. Endeavoring to understand the other person's point of view is very important to you. It's so important that you will bend over backwards to help people to articulate what they want to say, even if the views they are trying to express are ideologically opposed to your own. This stems from the belief that feelings and thoughts should be totally transparent and if people are meant to be together, whether it's in love or at work, then they will naturally find their fit. Continue to follow this course and you will see things click into place on October 7th.

Sometimes you just can't win in the court of popular opinion and that's especially true when Venus turns retrograde at the top of your solar chart. Whether it's good intentions that paved the way to your hellish situation or your close association with someone who draws negative fire, there's very little you can do to defend your reputation now. The best course of action is to let people's ire run its course. You'll have to accept the fact that they will probably never see reason, but knowing that you’ll emerge with your reputation untarnished at the end of the retrograde should make up for that.

Mars moves into that part of your solar chart that pertains to relationships on September 27th. Mars is Astrology's cage rattler, so you can expect flare-ups with your spouse as well as with a business partner or any client you work closely with. It's important to know how to fight in a relationship. It's not about fighting to win, but fighting to understand each other in ways that don't come naturally. Be forewarned that the next 7½ weeks won't be easy, but the struggle to connect, along with the respect and camaraderie that results from it, shows that Mars is all about forging ties that bind.

People often project the things they don't like about themselves onto others in order to escape what they see staring back at them in the mirror. Some are unconscious of this while others go about it with the force of a military campaign. The Venus/Pluto square on September 15th shows you being targeted by someone looking to dump their frogs and snakes onto your plate. Maybe they believe what they say or maybe they're distracting people from looking at them by pointing at you. You'll feel tempted to explain yourself, but don't. Pluto in your sign works better than any deflector shield could.

Ruling Planet Uranus turns retrograde in the sign of the Twins on September 10th. It's not every day when you reverse engines, Aquarius is a fixed sign, but this may be one of those rare occasions when you do. This about-face has less to do with beating a retreat and more to do with changing your approach. Maybe you're backtracking to discover the point where things got off track or creating the impression of leaving to throw rivals off the scent and take them by surprise. In any case, it's a good time to take a page from the Gemini playbook and keep people guessing.

People will often talk about their dreams, but few actively pursue them. An incredibly rare and auspicious Jupiter/Saturn trine on August 31st shows that you are ready to go after the things you really want in life. But this won’t be reckless, desperate, or something done on blind faith. It appears as if you have a plan in mind and are ready to implement it step by step. Saturn bestows discipline, fortitude, and wisdom when it forms a trine to Jupiter, so even if you haven’t much to go on right now, you will as you accrue more and more with every goal you reach.
