You'd love nothing more than to say good riddance to a business association. Not only has this client been judgmental and unappreciative, but you could probably do much better with someone else. Circulate word that you're looking, and you’ll surely find a replacement in days. However, you still share a history, and that's not something you feel like giving up. There have been times when this person's outrageous demands pushed you further than you would have gone on your own, and when criticisms – although harsh – were also enlightening. It's unlikely you'll ever find this anywhere else, so the question remains: is the aggravation worth it?
