It looks as if you seriously underestimated someone which is quite a twist considering how you tend to view people as being better than they are. Nevertheless it appears as if that person you wrote off as a loser is actually a winner in disguise. Pleasant surprises like these often happen when Mars forms a sextile to Jupiter (June 27th) but the question remains: can you salvage things now that you know better? Typically more sinned against than sinning, it will be interesting to see if you can really ask for this person's forgiveness. It all depends on how willing you are to start again.
