CAPRICORN HOROSCOPE

Something you thought would take a lot longer to come together is suddenly front and center on January 17th. You have the Sun/Uranus trine to thank for this acceleration in schedule. It's great news, but you're going to have to lace up your running shoes to keep up with all the rapid-fire developments as they unfold. You weren't expecting this and will have to manage things on the fly. Thankfully, the Sun-Uranus trine coincides with a Sun sextile to your ruling planet, Saturn in Pisces, which means that there's help for you when (and if) you need it. All you have to do is ask.

There's always an undeniable attraction at work when Venus conjoins Mars, however romantic encounters often turn into one-upmanship when these two planets conjoin in Capricorn. That's because each planet is trying to impress the other with their accomplishments and accolades and since neither is willing to play the appreciative audience, it can sometimes devolve into a competition. That's why you'll want to be the first to praise the other party – even if it feels like you're catering to a snobbish ego. Do this and you'll soon see the reason why this person was parading around like a peacock was to get you to like them.

Venus enters your zodiac sign on December 24th for a 3 ½ week stay. Named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty, Venus is always good for likes, clicks, and followers. You may think of these things as being beneath you, but you'll change your mind by this time next week when a bump in the polls shows you winning a groundswell of interest and support. Hopefully this corresponds with the launch of a product, label, or enterprise. If not, then it would be a good idea to put something together ASAP. You really don't want to let this opportunity pass you by.

Mars, the planet of gumption and drive, enters Capricorn on December 15th. Mars is exalted when it's traveling through your zodiac sign which means you'll make more headway in the next 5 ½ weeks than you have in the past 5 ½ months. Mars also gives you bravado and urges you to stop worrying so much about what other people think. Those who get you already realize your worth and appreciate the lengths you'll go to help them out or make life better. And those who don't? Well, maybe it's time to give them the old heave-ho. Mars will be in Capricorn until January 23d.

People don't often think of Capricorns as self-sabotaging, but you're no more immune to shooting yourself in the foot than any other zodiac sign. This is something you'll be struggling with when Mars squares Saturn on December 8th. You know that you shouldn't say anything when you're feeling this wound up and that nothing good will come of it, but the impulse burns like a fiery itch. Well, if you can't repress the irrepressible then it's a good idea to find a friend who will. This is not the time to have an answer for everything – not when you will soon be getting signals from the Universe on how to improve your life and expand on what it is you do. These will materialize as helpful suggestions from friends and acquaintances so be open to what's being said – even if people's ideas strike you as fanciful and impractical. Instead of imposing your idea of success on to your business, you might try listening to your business. Businesses are living entities. It could even be argued that every business has its own personality and its own organic way of doing things. As a Capricorn you tend to focus on finding fault with the way things are run, but try looking for the things that are right on November 26th when Venus trines Jupiter and then Saturn. You may discover that there’s an intelligent design at work in the way your business is growing. This could give you some creative and profitable ideas for the future.

Sometimes it’s the very thing we’re avoiding that winds up being the key to our salvation. Ironic twists are characteristic of Saturn and its trine to the Sun on November 17th shows it’s time to face the music regarding a thorny matter. But there’s more going on than a cosmic lesson in accountability. Now that you’re being forced to come to terms with your situation you will see for the first time that what you’re dealing with is a lot more remediable than you thought. In fact it’s so manageable that you’ll wonder why you wasted so much time agonizing over it in the first place.

Last June Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, entered the zodiac sign of Cancer. This would have brought someone new into your life; and if it didn’t, then you would have enjoyed a flood of fresh faces and new friends that became like family overnight. Yes, they've taken up a lot of time and energy, however there's no disputing that they've also opened your heart and enriched your world. But they can do more. These people want to do things for you – which is something that’s unheard for an I-can-do-it-myself Capricorn. Your next impossible mission (should you choose to accept it) would be to let them.

You've made it a rule not to offer advice unless asked first. This isn't easy for a Saturn ruled sign like yours because you've always been a long range planner and can often see where people will run afoul of circumstances before they do; however Capricorn is also a parental sign which means that you've also learned that loved ones and friends need to make their own mistakes.
