Cancer Weekly Horoscope | April 21st – April 27th 2025
Keep pushing for what you want. It may feel like you’re getting dangerously close to imperiling what you’ve set up so far, but the New Moon in Taurus on April 27th shows you’re on the right side of history. Either you see things much more clearly than your superiors do or you’re willing to make the tough decisions that they keep sidestepping. This can only work out in your favor as long as you remain steadfast and patient. Continue doing what you’re doing and you’ll go from being forced to work with the short end of the stick to brandishing the better part of it.

Warning signs can’t help if you ignore them. It’s something to keep in mind when Venus conjoins Saturn for the last time in Pisces on April 24th. Success has many friends β as you learned when Venus first entered the sign of the fish on January 2d. This is when you found yourself surrounded by people who were only too happy to tell you the things you wanted to hear. In recent weeks you’ve begun to question their motives. As a Gemini, you should know better than to believe the hype. You’re Astrology’s favorite contrarian! That said, it’s time to pop the bubble and wake up.

The Sun/Pluto square on April 23d shows someone encroaching on your turf. It will be portrayed as an innocent oversight, but rest assured it’s deliberate. But before you go full-on Hulk, take some time to research what’s going on because what’s happening may be bigger than you realize. There may be a regime change at work, a reshuffling of your department, or a major merger or acquisition taking place. You won’t always be clear as to whether you should fight for what you have or accept a buyout while you can. In any case, you’ll want to bird dog developments over the next few weeks.

It’s going to feel like Anger has grabbed control of your psychic console this week when Mars squares the Sun on April 20th and opposes Pluto on April 26th. In some ways you can think of the planets as the emotions bickering over who’s in charge of Riley’s life in the Pixar film “Inside Out”, except the person they’re fighting over is you. Nevertheless you need to exercise some kind of self-control before you drive away friends and alienate support. People will be understanding if you tell them you’re going through a hard time; they won’t be if you come across as brusque and mean-spirited.

This week’s T-square in fixed signs means nobody will be giving an inch. Needless to say it’s not the time to make a pitch, request, or plea because it will be immediately shot down. Moreover trying to get feuding sides to see reason or to negotiate a compromise will fall on deaf ears. Tensions that were already heightened when Mars reentered Leo last week will only escalate as Mars squares the Sun in Taurus on April 20th, the Sun squares Pluto in Aquarius on April 23d and then Mars and Pluto oppose one another in Leo and Aquarius respectively on April 26th. The trouble with fixed T-square energy isn’t in its combativeness, but rather in its defensiveness with each party picking up their toys and retreating to their separate corners until somebody else apologizes. And given the intransigent nature of the configuration, it will be up to intermediaries to coax wounded parties back to the table. In the end, people will start talking again but things will be little changed from where it all began.

It will be strange to experience the Mercury/Neptune conjunction on April 17th. For the past fourteen years these conjunctions have always been in Pisces but now they’re in Aries. You may surprise yourself with how direct you are in expressing what you want and when you want it. You may also be surprised by how quickly people respond. You may feel a bit exposed speaking your mind in quick clipped sentences without all that verbal camouflage, but in the end people will have a more accurate idea of where you’re coming from. This easy exchange of information is definitely something you could get used to.

You have no problem with someone making demands. It’s their right just like it’s your right to turn them down if those demands can’t be met. The problem is their sloppiness. As an Aquarius, you often find yourself salvaging other people’s messes. This can range from someone involving others in what should have been a one-on-one discussion to a disappointed party airing their grievances to anyone in earshot. It’s exhausting transmuting the resentment into a more constructive conversation, but that’s what you’re good at which is why you do it. Pace yourself this week and you’ll emerge on the other side still forming complete sentences.

It’s time to streamline commitments. As a Capricorn, you take pride in being booked out the wazoo. Your busy schedule is proof positive that you’re in demand and won’t have to worry about finances. Unfortunately this tremendous workload also keeps you from focusing on the things that would really take you to the next level. The last quarter Moon in Aquarius on April 20th shows it’s time to unload those obligations and responsibilities that aren’t as profitable as they once were. There will be hurt feelings on both sides and even some tight weeks, but what you get in return is a business that’s going somewhere.

The Mercury/Neptune conjunction on April 17th makes you both inspirational and motivational. Not only are people convinced that you can make them better versions of themselves, they will push to exceed your highest expectations. It’s not unlike Shakespeare’s Henry V’s St. Crispin speech where he embraces his men as his “band of brothers” and urges them to fight back against the French armies who outnumber them. This call to action transcends any victory because it’s the struggle that counts. This is an amazing transit for anyone who coaches, mentors, or guides because you are the flame that lights the bonfire. Where there’s belief, there’s triumph.

Ruling Planet Mars back in Leo on April 18th restokes that gumption and drive that’s been missing for weeks. It’s nice to feel that energy again, but things have changed since Mars retrograded out of Leo last January. You donβt have the clout you once had or that sense of stability that made you feel invincible. There was a time when this would have troubled you, but now you’re not sure. Do you really want to go through the aggravation of reclaiming something that’s no longer yours? Most people would say “skip it”, but you’re a Scorpio. You won’t go gently into that good night.

It’s ironic how continued success tends to lower our sights rather than lift them. The danger of any conventional approach is that it becomes formulaic over time and loses the special element that made it so groundbreaking in the first place. The beauty of the Mercury/Pluto sextile on April 20th is that it combines the innovative genius of Pluto in Aquarius with the self-improvement tendencies of Mercury in Aries to create a desire to make what’s good β better. Instead of abandoning something that’s always worked for you, you’ll see where there’s room for improvement and this will surely rekindle your spirit of invention and excitement.
