It's going to be hard to escape this feeling that what's happening now has happened before when Neptune sextiles Pluto on September 15th. And technically it has. The two planets formed a sextile to one another for the first time back in July, but this isn't the same feeling. What's unfolding now is infused with a kind of urgent inevitability. Maybe it's all those science fiction movies you watched as a kid that are starting to look more real by the day. Or those history classes about the fall of ancient civilizations that seem to be eerily timely. Then again it could be the moral of some half-remembered tale that is hitting a little too close to home for your taste. People often talk about historical cycles that move through our lives like an unstoppable planetary orbit, but the truth is they don't. For instance, the Spring you experienced last year won't be the same as the Spring you experience next year. You're different and the world is different, although the timing of the season is the same. It's something to keep in mind when life feels like it's moving towards a foregone conclusion. Each of us makes a difference in the way things will play out just like the way a familiar story changes according to the person who tells it.
