Astrology in the Age of Aquarius: Community, Connection, and Trust

Amanda: Amrit, I'm so happy you're here.

Amrit: I'm happy you're here. I'm so excited to be here.

Amanda: Oh good. I am like a kid in a candy store.

Amrit: Yes, I totally understand. I'm actually like a kid in a candy s— and there's way too much candy. And I'm, like, aware that I can't have it all…

Amanda: Yes.

Amrit: …so I'm trying to, like, meter—to the best of my ability—my intake.

Amanda: Yes. But I'm beyond saturated.

Amrit: It's overwhelmingly good. Okay, now that we're in the Age of Aquarius—I think almost 100% of astrologers would agree we're officially in the Age of Aquarius. When we entered is, like, the big debate, right?

Amanda: Debate, yeah.

Amrit: In terms of the way that you're building your business, you're building your life, how do you integrate Aquarian qualities into what you're doing?

Amanda: 100%, great question. So, so many levels. First of all, the importance of community.

Amrit: The importance of community. Um, I think… Wow.

Amanda: Even with AI, like online content…

Amrit: Yes… I think the direction f— like, people are sort of like, “Ugh, AI content,” and yeah, kind of, in some ways. They call it AI slop on YouTube, which is where the podcast is natively home to.

Amanda: Right.

Amrit: Um, but in and around there, I've been noticing that it makes people like yourself and myself, the content we do put out, because there actually is a real…

Amanda: Right, behind there.

Amrit: …it's almost like because all this AI content's flooding, it makes this a little bit more—I wanna use the word sacred, but it's still digital, so there's still, like, some sort… But it feels like there's a real thing there. Like, people can build, like, a real connection to a real human even though it's through a digital screen. ‘Cause Aquarian, I feel like, doesn't care about screens. It really does want connection to try and penetrate through that.

Amanda: Yeah.

Amrit: Um, and so with that, I've been noticing that online there's this real currency of trust.

Amanda: Yeah, yeah.

Amrit: And it's becoming a real currency. Like, can you trust or can you not trust? Is this real or is it not? Sidebar note: like, there's this incredible musician, her name's Irma, I-R-M-A. And she's got these videos online. She's super soulful. She does Michael Jackson covers. She's ridiculous, right? She's African-American. She's got the vibes, and she plays the guitar. But her recordings are recorded in a studio.

Amanda: Yeah.

Amrit: And then she's, like, in a location playing her guitar. And I watched her a few times, and I just, like, wrote her off as AI. And I was like, “This is beautiful AI content.”

Amanda: Whoa.

Amrit: And I wrote her off as AI, but I was like, “This is beautiful.” And I would still listen to her content, like, “Man, this AI's getting good,” right?

Amanda: Right.

Amrit: And then my wife's like, “She's on tour.”

Amanda: Oh!

Amrit: And I was like, “AI's on tour?” She's like, “No, she's real, Amrit. She's real. She's real.” And I'm like…

Amanda: Whoa.

Amrit: Trust is like… She'll do it like live, this whole thing online now.

Amanda: Got this whole thing online now. Yes, yeah.

Amrit: And people… And so I think, like, that digital thing is coming whether we like it or not.

Amanda: Yeah.

Amrit: But the humanness—and that's also like Chani Nicholas said this in her opening keynote here at UAC as well—it's like this is important, more than ever, that we come together to, like, interface, to touch each other.

Amanda: I know.

Amrit: I messaged you before I was coming here: “I'm just looking forward to my hug.”

Amanda: Yes! You get sweet on his hug. Touch wood, it was the best hug ever. Literally, I was like, this is the best…

Amrit: Touch wood. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it was just so nice to interface and connect. And long before I had astrology in my life, 'cause the work I've been doing as a coach has been coaching people to their values—to living in alignment to their values. Then I went through my Saturn squares, we talked about it on the podcast.

Amanda: Yeah.

Amrit: Now it's like, okay, values was cute. It definitely works. I love values work. But then here's your astrology, it's even richer, you know?

Amanda: Right. Exactly.

Amrit: And so now we align yourself to your astrological chart, and then send you on your journey coaching them that way. And so going through that entire shift, it's been miraculous sort of seeing, okay, astrology, my value—my highest value has always been connection.

Amanda: Mm. It's always been connection.

Amrit: …and helping people connect to their true selves or, by authenticity, connecting to each other. Connection, connection, God. Connection is, like, the whole thing, right?

Amanda: Yeah, yes, yes.

Amrit: And feeling into, like, Aquarius and community and connection.

Amanda: Right.

Amrit: Um, I think pyramids are starting to, like, map out.

Amanda: Yeah.

Amrit: Um, even though pyramids are more Capricornian. Right. But I think with Piscean, the schools of the fish thing, like we sort of follow our leaders.

Amanda: Yeah.

Amrit: Um, I still feel like there's a bit of a hierarchy thing. I think there's a real, not descent of power, but I think adjustments—let's put it politely—to power structures that are happening right now. It's becoming much more flatter.

Amanda: And it's becoming circular.

Amrit: Circular. And that's why the podcast—yeah, the community's called, our community's called The Circle.

Amanda: Right. Ours is the Inner Circle.

Amrit: Yeah, right! So it's called The Circle, that's beautiful… because it's like, it's Aquarian. Beautiful circle.

Amanda: And it is about…

Amrit: I find myself saying this, like, “Hey, the community's not about me.”

Amanda: Right, yeah. Exactly.

Amrit: Even though, obviously, I've got this podcast and we talk about it, yeah, I'm 100% part of the community and I'm in there exchanging my voice. But everybody else is as well. And it's like we're standing around the side together worshiping unity more than anything.

Amanda: Yes, I know, right? Really, yes, yes.

Amrit: But yeah, so there's the community aspect to it, there's the online aspect to it. Um, and just trying to make things… My mantra for Aquarius—and I know I've got three little kids under the age of five, so this sounds like a nursery rhyme—the more I, I, the more we, we. The more we, we, the more I.

Amanda: I. Mm.

Amrit: And so just allowing people to be themselves as much as possible, 'cause there's Leo on the other side of that chart. Right, like your individual authentic expression, yeah. Whilst also finding our ways to accept each other in community around that as well. Um, yeah. Lots of things.

Amanda: Yeah, lots of things, yeah, yeah. I feel like we're, like, the brother-sister of, like, our comm— like, there's two communities that we've built that are, like, very much centered around the same principles, and…

Amrit: I'm humbled to hear you say that, I mean, really. I love your work. I love your work. I mean, come on, to be put in the same esteem is really, incredibly honored. Are you kidding? Oh my God. Totally. Wow. Okay.

Advice for New Astrology Students

Amanda: So what, in terms of like, learning astrology, if you were to go back to yourself as you were just beginning, what do you know now that you wish you knew then? Actually, what do I wish I knew now that I wish I knew then?

Amrit: Um, take it easy. Take it slow, there's no rush. But astrology came to me during a Saturn square, so it was never gonna be slow and easy, right? Um, but I wish… I mean, I didn't take it too fast either. Um, but I do think one of the things that really helped me, that I'm really only starting to fully grapple my head around, is when I started my astrology journey, I got an astrology buddy.

Amanda: You've got what?

Amrit: An astrology study buddy.

Amanda: Yeah.

Amrit: Her name's Linda Braga. Shout out, Linda. Um, she actually works with Tara Vogel, who's got Parenting and Astrology, an incredible thing on parenting astrology. I met her through Debra Silverman.

Amanda: Yeah, anyway, yeah.

Amrit: Having a study buddy, like we catch up every week. And my life can be quite full with the podcast, the clients, the kids, all this other stuff.

Amanda: Right, yes.

Amrit: But having, like, an astrological study buddy that I catch up with every week… and her and I have similar charts.

Amanda: Yeah.

Amrit: Um, and I've learnt so much from her. I'm hoping she's learnt so much from me as well. Yeah, um, but it's really beautiful just feeling the connection once again, and the community that's there. And I think if I could go back and give myself advice, it's like, “This is something really special that you're about to develop, like connection through astrology and friends.” Like, yeah, you know? And just slow down to savor that a little bit more. But I already am, so that's the thing I would hammer home the point on.

Amanda: Yeah, because it's almost like when you start learning, it's like you're drinking from the fire hose. And it's like, “Oh my God, how much?” You know? But it is, because once you settle into it, it's like, “Oh wait, I'm gonna be studying this for life. So there's nowhere to go.”

Amrit: Mm.

Amanda: And actually, every single thing that I learn on the path is gonna help me. So like, just savor each thing as… And I love too that Rick was talking about—it was a quote from William Blake or someone, you know how he has those quotes that just flow out of him? I'm like, “I don't understand, Gemini, how you do that.” His intelligence is just—every single time I try to quote someone, I butcher it. But basically about whatever curiosity is being piqued for you, just follow that. Like, that's it. Just follow that question, that curiosity. And even that isn't fully… Like it's so serendipitous as well.

Amrit: Even… Yeah.

Amanda: It is. There's so much room for the universe. Like, why are you curious about that right now?

Amrit: And why did I stumble across it at this moment in time?

Amanda: Exactly, yes, exactly!

Amrit: Like, that part I find really, really cool. Can I ask you a question?

Amanda: Sure.

The Story Behind Amanda's Book

Amrit: Why did you write your book?

Amanda: I did not intend to write that book.

Amrit: I can imagine. It's very personal.

Amanda: It's very personal. It's very personal. I did not intend to write that book. Yeah, I intended to write an opening chapter that was, like, my background real quick, and then get to, like, working with astrology, and how to work with astrology in your life, and ways that I have found to really simply and easily integrate astrology into your life. But I started writing the first quick background story, and it was just like, and then the next page, and then the next page, and the next page. I was like, “Oh, this is gonna be more than a chapter.”

Amrit: “Yeah, this is just an intro.”

Amanda: Yeah. What's next? It is. I know, I know. Oh, it hit fast.

Amrit: I know.

Amanda: Well, because it kind of ends in 2017. Honestly, like the story part of it ends in 2017.

Amrit: I'm like, yeah…

Amanda: That's been almost 10 more years. That I could do the same kind of thing, where it's the story with the astrological overlay. Like, what is happening in the transit? What's happening when I'm having my Uranus opposition? Like, how does that manifest in a story? Because people learn so much through stories.

Amrit: Yeah.

Amanda: And it really… It's not just like some person out there that the media reported on what we know. Like, you're actually getting an intimate view into someone's life, and then understanding the astrology on top of that. So, but I don't know, because I totally go back and forth between writing another story book like that, or writing that book that I tried to write the first time. But maybe I'll just have to write both.

Amrit: But I think when you start, yeah, it'll just—it'll know where it'll go. ‘Cause that seems like the start, and then it'll just… Your Capricorn self will find its way to the top of the mountain regardless. Yes. Oh my God, no doubt.

Amanda: I mean, honestly, I was like, “Oh, I already have a book. Okay.” Because I did a talk at the Consciousness Conference in LA.

Amrit: Congratulations.

Amanda: Well, thanks. And I was like, but I can transcribe that talk, and then I have all these transcripts from these videos that I'm doing for our seasonal gathering, so I'll just take that and that, and I'll put it together, and I have a book.

Amrit: You'll have the bones of it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Amanda: So I get a writing coach. ‘Cause I'm a Capricorn, so I like structure. So I'm like, “I don't know how to write, so I'm gonna get a writing coach.”

Amrit: You know what she said to me on the podcast? She goes, “I'm Capricorn. I love curriculums. They're so sexy.”

Amanda: I mean, seriously, it's so great. A great curriculum, I'm like, “Oh, I love that.” Literally, that is my quote for Capricorn.

Amrit: I got it from you!

Amanda: And my trainer, like, has me on these phases, and at the end of every phase there's a test. And I'm like, “I love it.”

Amrit: Testing day. Milestones. Give me a good milestone. It's so hot.

Amanda: Anyways, so I give the transcripts to the coach. And she reads them all, and she comes back and she goes, “I'm gonna challenge you.” Yeah, I'm like, “Oh, shit.”

Amrit: Here we go.

Amanda: She's like, “I want you to write your story in a way that you have never told it.” And I'm like, “Oh no, does that mean I'm at zero?” And she's like, “Yeah, I want you to start over.” And I'm like, “So I don't have a book halfway written? Not even close.” But then once she gave me that challenge and I started doing it, it came through in dialogue. It came through in scenes. It came through, like, in a way that I had never told it. And I was like, “I didn't even know I remembered all the detail.”

Amrit: She sort of needed to push you in that direction for that to happen.

Amanda: Yeah, yeah. To, like, remember my love of creative writing, honestly. Wow, yeah.

Amrit: Yeah, wow. So are we hearing correctly, there's another book in the works? Have you told anybody this, or did I pull this out of you like, bang? I'm Oprah Winfrey right now. I'm Oprah Winfrey, I just got that out of her. Did you see that?

Amanda: No… I have like 23 chapters outlined right now, by the way. That's so funny. Everybody's getting prizes! I mean, maybe, but this book is… It's like having a six-month-old or a three-month-old and being like, “I'm gonna have another kid.” Like, she's just a baby. I need to, like, mother her longer. And then maybe eventually, yeah.

Amrit: Of course, of course. I really love the way astrologers teach through story as well.

Amanda: Yes, yes.

Amrit: Like, put up a chart, and go through, “Have a look at this,” and they'll really take the time to explain.

Amanda: Yeah. So many great astrologers are such great storytellers as well.

Amrit: Yeah, and it just brings the content and the charts alive. It does. And I love how you go through your story, and then at the end of it, it's like, “Now this is true to this transit.” Right, yeah, and then you really start to learn once again through story again. So really cool. Really cool book.

Amanda: Thank you. Thank you. Thanks for the question.

Astrology Hub at 10 Years and Playing the Long Game

Amrit: What has been… Like this, this UAC 2026, like where you are now, have you been able to slow down, pat yourself on the back, and go, “Hey, Astrology Hub as an offering to the world and a service…” I mean, you're an earth sign.

Amanda: Yeah.

Amrit: So service—I know I'm Virgo, so I look at everything through service, but service, like, have you taken a moment to sink in and just sort of see? Even just a little bit. Like, I saw Georgia Stathis before. I met Rick Levine here yesterday at your little hub. Like, just what this has, the space this occupies in people's hearts. Have you taken a moment to sink in?

Amanda: I mean, yes. Especially meeting people from the community who are like, “I started tuning into Astrology Hub seven years ago or eight years ago, and now I'm writing books,” or, “I'm teaching,” or, “I'm a practicing astrologer.” Or, “I've integrated this part of my life with astrology, and now I'm practicing that together.” I'm just like, “That's amazing.” Like, wow, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I don't know, it was something about turning 10 as a company.

Amrit: Uh, when did that happen?

Amanda: Last summer. Not this last summer, but the summer before that. We're 11 now. But I was like, “Wow, 10.” Like, in digital world, that's like a bazillion lifetimes, you know? I'm like, “We're, like, 10 years old? That's, like, kind of established,” you know?

Amrit: It is a thing, isn't it?

Amanda: It felt like a thing. It felt like a milestone, for real.

Amrit: It's cool that you say 10, because people often ask, like, how I've sort of… We just hit nine with the podcast.

Amanda: Yeah, yeah.

Amrit: It feels significant, 'cause nine's such a completion number, right?

Amanda: Yes.

Amrit: Um, and then watching where we are with community and how important that feels like very much the next thing, and going on these experiences. We take people on experiences.

Amanda: I love experiences!

Amrit: So we're going to Egypt in November with Matias De Stefano and Robert Edward Grant. Oh my God, you know those two?

Amanda: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!

Amrit: So we're going to Egypt with them. So we're doing things like this. We're moving together, and it seems like community in person, so we can touch and connect with each other, seems to be this, like, next wave. And so nine sort of feels like we're sort of stepping into this next phase. But when I first started, I gave myself this weird sort of permission piece, which was like, “I'm not gonna judge the success of any of this until I get to 10 years in.”

Amanda: Wow, wow.

Amrit: And I think I find that important to communicate, because I think people often go, “How have you stuck with a podcast?” ‘Cause there's been plenty of moments, as you would know with Astrology Hub, like, where it's made less sense to continue.

Amanda: Totally. Like, “Whoa.” We can talk about that. But it made less sense to continue then, too.

Amrit: Yeah, and people go, “What's been the thing that's kept you going?” And for me, it's like I just had this awareness like, no matter what, just give it 10 years and then assess how it went. Right. And it's cool to hear you say, like at 10 years…

Amanda: 10 years, I felt like I went from beginner to intermediate, maybe.

Amrit: With this sort of relaxation, I think, also. ‘Cause you can sink into the identity a little bit more.

Amanda: Because I would hear all those things about, like, the number of small businesses that fail within the first year…

Amrit: And then three years. The ones that fail within three years, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Amanda: And then the ones that, like, once you make it to 10, it seems like some sort of threshold where it's like, you're probably gonna stick around for a while.

Amrit: Yeah, yeah. I'm right up to 10. Perfect, perfect.

Amanda: Yeah, so that's been present for me. Yeah, so I'm very inspired, as I continue to say, by all the work that you guys do as well at Astrology Hub. I mean, yeah.

Solstices and Equinoxes as Astrological Holidays

Amrit: What's inspiring for you with Astrology Hub, and what's next? What's coming up next for you guys?

Amanda: Well, honestly, I feel the call for experiences, too. I mean, at this point we're doing them still virtually, but I'm really keen on helping people live astrology. Like, really live astrology in a way that feels ritualized, sacred. It's woven into everyday life. I love holidays, you know? I think that's Capricorn, too. I've loved Christmas, for example. Forever I loved Christmas. But then all of a sudden, Christmas started to feel empty because it was just about gifts, and it lost the soul for me because it's a religious thing that I don't totally connect with 100%, you know? I can get behind it, and I can redefine it, and I can do all those things. But I actually really connect when a holiday is astrologically based, when it's nature-based.

Amrit: Solstice and equinox?

Amanda: Solstice and equinox, those are my holidays! And so what I'm wanting to do is bring… And I already started. We have events that we do at every solstice and equinox that is taking the energy of that equinox. So like, we do the Aries equinox: we create treasure maps, vision boards, we dream, we call it in. At the Cancer solstice, we're checking in with that, but it's more quiet, it's more meditative. At the Libra equinox, we're doing an embodiment experience. At the December solstice, it's again more inward, more quiet, more reflective. So I've created these things because I want people to have that in-breath, out-breath, and to have holidays that they can look forward to, that they connect with. Like, as astrology lovers, we connect with the sky.

Amrit: And it connects them to nature as well.

Amanda: Earthly, with the planet, yes! And also, you probably know this, but business books have shown that 90-day increments are the perfect amount of time.

Amrit: 90-day sprints. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Amanda: Perfect amount of time. It's enough time for something to manifest in your life and something to move forward, but it's not so long that you forget about it. So that's why I love tuning back in every 90 days.

Amrit: And you can set themes for that 90 days. Exactly. It's like, this one's gonna be about shedding. This one's gonna be about accumulating. This one's gonna be about discipline. This one's gonna be about harmony, you know?

Amanda: Exactly. I love bringing that into people's lives and making it experiential and community-based.

AI and Authenticity in Spiritual Content

Amrit: Here's a curveball question, a little bit more pointed. So Astrology Hub is mostly online at the moment. How do you feel about AI tech and where that's going? Like, how do you navigate your journey and dance around AI?

Amanda: Well, I know it's here to stay. I know enough about astrology to know that AI's here to stay, so I know it'd be futile to be, like, fighting it. I still see it as a tool. Um, I think that it can really actually enable people that might not be able to create things, because it takes a lot of resources, right? Like, if you're trying to create something, and you need a staff to carry it off, it's very expensive and most people can't do it, you know? So it's like—I think it's enabling more people to be creators and be creative. But the authenticity and the heart and the humanness has to be there, because otherwise it feels hollow. It feels soulless, and I just don't think people are that… I think that people sniff it and smell it, and they're not gonna connect with it in the same way, you know?

Amrit: Yeah, yeah. I know even just a long em dash when I read it online… someone's taken the time to put that together, and they've left the em dash in. Right, and it's weird, because I'm like, I know you're speaking about something that matters to you, but I just… I just pushed away.

Amanda: Yes, I can feel it, I know.

Amrit: Like, I don't want to because that's like one of my closest friends that sent me something, and I'm trying to read it, but I'm like, “Oh, you didn't write it.”

Amanda: You know, it's funny because we are doing an event, and there's this gorgeous picture of me and my daughters dancing for the Libra equinox.

Amrit: Yay.

Amanda: And we're using it as, like, the cover photo. But we wanted to bring in the elements, 'cause the Libra equinox thing is all about the elements. So we used AI to bring in, like, the sun, and the water, and the da-da-da-da. And my daughter Madeline saw it, and she's like, “No. That's not it, no.” She goes, “It's too AI. You can't use that.”

Amrit: She's the one that did the board? She's a board girl. So we gotta get the board. I kinda wanna put the board up. She's gorgeous, and she's my Libra.

Amanda: And she's just like, “No, Mommy. Like, first of all, it's a real picture. You don't even need to do that. And it's a gorgeous background. You don't even need to do that. And if that was… Like, you've worked so hard to legitimize astrology. Don't bring in that.” And I was like, “Oh, good call.” So anyways, we're redoing the banner.

Amrit: Yeah. Well, that's been really interesting as well, because I've been finding, like with thumbnails and stuff on YouTube and like how you present yourself online, if I lean too much on AI content in that space, then it feels like the video is AI, too.

Amanda: That's true, too.

Amrit: Right. So we're having a very interesting time. My Uranus is passing over my Jupiter—no, Jupiter is passing… Anyway, um, it's, like, a real big recommunications thing. And a new website's coming for us. And also, the new thumbnail direction that we're taking matches the website. And it's weird to sort of see also part of the nine-year completion thing, like how it's all starting to feel like one big ecosystem, rather than like, “Oh yeah, we had a YouTube channel, and we had a podcast, and we also had an Instagram.” But like, there is an online… Like, we're doing the work, we're serving, but now it's, like, all being wrapped into, like, this one white and sort of colored frequency that's coherent. And it's like, ah, interesting.

Amanda: That starts to happen around nine, 10 years, really. Because you start to, like, understand who you are more.

Amrit: Yeah. Which is weird that you say that, because I think people tuning in kind of think they want to have that clarity at the beginning to get going.

Amanda: That doesn't happen for me. It might happen for some people, but I always just have to try things and go in the direction of the enthusiasm. And then some things work, and some things don't.

Amrit: What do you think it is about you that has that temperament? Aries Node!

Amanda: Very, very. Yeah, I mean, honestly, like I don't know until I try it. So I just… And until I try it, I won't know the answer, so I have to just go. And there's been plenty of things that I've tried where I have to be like, “That didn't work.” Like, there's some humble pie. Like, that didn't work.

Amrit: That's how you found out what doesn't work. And then from there you pivot, right? Otherwise you don't get clarity. In my coaching, I find myself consistently saying, “Clarity doesn't precede action, it succeeds action.” Exactly. So get out, do a bunch of stuff, be humiliated a little, do whatever works, and then see where it takes from there, right? I still like to every now and then listen back to episode zero. Yeah? Do you have something like that in your life?

Amanda: Oh my God!

Amrit: Mine is episode zero of the podcast. And I like listening back to like nine years ago where that Amrit was at. It's like a short six-minute podcast where it's like, “Hey guys, I'm starting this thing called Inspired Evolution. And I don't wanna add any more digital noise into the world because there's so much distraction already. But I'm inspired by people like”—ready?—”Bob Marley.”

Amanda: Talk yourself up much! Oh my God, touch wood.

Amrit: “Who have left, like, a frequency and a vibration behind through media.”

Amanda: True, yeah.

Amrit: And it's like we still get to feel those vibes, right? And that wisdom carries on. And hopefully we can contribute something into the online space. Hopefully this brings a little bit of presence. And it's really nice to just anchor back into that original intention. Yeah. Do you have something like that?

Amanda: Woo! God, our episode zero would've been audio only. I mean, 2017. I haven't even listened to it.

Amrit: You should listen back! Go back, you've got homework from me, lovingly. Listen to your episodes. Get some space for yourself, not here, when you're away back home chilling.

Amanda: I mean, I just like to reflect every year. I mean, I use the solstices and the equinoxes to reflect. Like, I'm always reflecting on where we've come.

Goddess, Priestess, and Spiritual Labels

Amrit: How do you waymark your way through Astrology Hub going forward? Like, who are your inspirations in terms of… Because it doesn't seem like there are many people ahead of Astrology Hub doing what Astrology Hub does. Um, it's quite unique, the space that you're occupying.

Amanda: It's between me and God, honestly. Like, I just know I'll continue to be guided. I know that I'll continue to, like, be inspired and have the ideas when I'm ready for them. I, like, really trust the direction, because the direction that we've been given the entire time, when it was pure inspiration—even when it didn't make sense—it has always created some sort of ripple effect that people will come back to me later and be like, “That one you guys did, on paper that thing didn't make sense, but it was the thing that touched the hearts.” You know? So I just trust that we'll continue to be guided. And I don't think anybody really knows the way right now. So for me, like, I listen to other people. I listen to inspiration, I listen to spiritual people, you know, I do. And I know that I have to just come back to myself. There's no one that's gonna give me some sort of roadmap for what's ahead. That's one of the things that's so clear about this age that we're going into. And with all the planets at the early degrees—all the outer planets at the early degrees—there's like… We are not gonna know, and nobody knows. And anyone that says they know…

Amrit: Watch out, selling you a bunch of crap. Watch out. Yeah, touché.

Amanda: Yeah, I mean, I used to do a lot more coaching, I used to do a lot… Like, I would sign up with mentors and blah. None of it ever really moved the needle or worked that much for me. You know what I'm saying? Literally, this one mentor I had, I paid like $25,000 for his small mastermind group, and blah blah. I gifted him an astrology reading…

Amrit: Mm.

Amanda: He ended up stopping the mastermind and following a totally new path because the astrology reading confirmed that he needed to do that! And I was like, “Well, there goes my mastermind group.” You know? I mean, I gave it to him as a gift, it was so funny.

Amrit: Wait, you gave a reading… You don't identify as an astrologer?

Amanda: No, no, I gifted him a reading with an astrologer! And then he's like, “I'm shutting down the mastermind, I'm reimbursing you guys.” I'm like, “Oh, great.” Like, there goes my mentor, you know? It was really… I was happy for him because obviously he needed to realign, you know?

Amrit: Well, also just as a brother reflecting back up to you as a sister, like, it's really awesome to just sort of see you have that rudder. That internal rudder.

Amanda: Oh, thank you. Yeah, yeah.

YouTube, Substack, and Rejecting Fear-Based Clickbait

Amrit: That's rare. That's rare. Especially with the online space, I think when you go to try and create something from the heart, there's this whole… There's actually a video that I've put together that I haven't launched, and I'm not sure I'm meant to. It's just, like, a solo cast of me just talking about how things like YouTube aren't fully optimized for spiritual content. Right? Like, in order for you to watch something, I kind of need to make it more inspiring, or like there needs to be this… I know.

Amanda: You know what? This is why I love Substack.

Amrit: Oh, really? Have you discovered Substack? Someone told me about Substack recently.

Amanda: It literally… It's been around for a long time, I just came to the party. And like three weeks ago, I started a Substack, and I'm like, “Oh my God, this is my place,” because it's not about sound bites. It's kind of the anti-social media. You know, the people that are there, they wanna go deep. They, like, don't want the thing in their face. And they're reading. It's like blogs, but like email. Yes! I'm like, “This is great. Where has this been all my life?” That's amazing. But yeah, so I mean, we'll keep doing all the other things, but like for me personally, I'm loving Substack because I can, like, actually go into a conversation. It feels deep. Check it out, I will check out your Substack.

Amrit: But yeah, so I've been finding that, yeah, just navigating all of that has been really, really interesting.

Amanda: It really is. Really interesting. And I honestly, I can't do it. And I'm sure our channel would grow faster and all, but I cannot do it. I just can't. I never have been able to. So I mean, we dabbled, like we've kinda tried to do the thumbnails that are gonna get the thing, and I'm like—I can't do it. So I'm just gonna let it grow organic in a way that feels completely resonant.

Amrit: Yeah, 'cause we've had to find a way… We've had to understand YouTube to get the success that we've had, touch wood. And so we've had to, like, understand it. And now every time you go to not do it, it's like, oh—your whole channel's dependent on an audience type that…

Amanda: I know, I know. So then you've gotta try and bring your audience around.

Amrit: I know. And so we're turning that corner now, and the new thumbnails and the new website and all that is part of the new direction.

Amanda: You have to be willing to kinda take a hit, though, too.

Amrit: Very much so.

Amanda: Yeah, very much so. Because I know that the shock and awe and fear sells…

Amrit: And also, I've met enough people now in the inner community that are sort of saying, “I don't click on the fear stuff because I don't need more of that.”

Amanda: I know, yeah.

Amrit: But those platforms are designed to… clickbait, amygdala hijacking.

Amanda: Amygdala hijacking, yeah, I know. And I don't like it, I don't wanna contribute to it. I don't wanna contribute to the frazzled nervous systems and the fear and the panic. Literally, we've worked 11 years to put out a vibration around astrology that is empowering—like, not fear-based, empowering. And I know fear sells, but I don't… like, it's just not… No. I can't. 29 degrees Capricorn, I can't. I'm not allowed. Saturn kicks my ass.

Amrit: I love it!

Amanda: I literally just can't. Oh my God, I could talk to you all day, obviously.

Amrit: Thank you so much, I think I have to let you go. You're a total goddess, and you're a total priestess.

Amanda: Oh my God, thank you so much. You're so sweet. You're incredible.

Amrit: Thank you for your incredible work that you continue to weave in the world. Thank you so much for having me here.

Amanda: Thank you for being here, and thank you so much for bringing me to UAC!
