00:02:01:04 – 00:02:28:24

Amanda

For those of you who don't know Doctor Jen's art, she is incredible. She is a publisher, editor, author, translator, astrologer, of course, and metal smith. She is just, I mean, a Renaissance woman. Really? I mean, she's amazing. She has this incredible library that she's created. She is now the president of ESR. She is like, she just. I don't know how you do it at all, Jen, but she's magic.

00:02:28:24 – 00:02:30:08

Jenn

It's magic. Amanda.

00:02:30:10 – 00:02:32:12

Amanda

It is magic.

00:02:32:14 – 00:02:43:16

Jenn

Before we get too deep into that, how many entries can we make into the costume contest? Because I'm like, I'm, like, activated. I'm like, okay, I'm going to do one for each side. I'm going to get all the planets and they're like, you want to. That's a good.

00:02:43:16 – 00:02:52:23

Amanda

Idea. I love it. I didn't even think about that, that people might want to submit several pictures, but yeah, go for it. Like I don't I don't think we need to limit you in that way. All right, all right. Yeah. Okay.

00:02:53:00 – 00:03:19:16

Jenn

So. Yeah. Yeah. Magic is the way. I mean, you know, we were talking about capacity, and I think with magic, we have to think about. We all have these, like, hopes, desires, wishes. And we see the things that are. And we want to make them different. But when we dial into our spirit and we sort of get quiet and meditative, and I think there's a lot to be said for just finding your center before you try to pursue any magical direction, but you're trying to manifest, right?

00:03:19:18 – 00:03:39:12

Jenn

And so is that like, hey, let's kick off October by just like getting still and getting into our own bodies again and just taking a look around at what is. I think that's a huge message for this week, especially as we're in the between times, like in between eclipses. I like to think of it as a time out of time, and a lot of intense things can happen.

00:03:39:14 – 00:03:48:12

Jenn

And I say intense. That's a word. It's actually kind of neutral, right? Because it's not necessarily like good or bad. It's just intense, you know?

00:03:48:14 – 00:03:50:11

Amanda

Yes, exactly. Yeah.

00:03:50:13 – 00:04:06:22

Jenn

Yeah. And I think magic puts us on the edge of that intensity. So all of the wonderful astrologers like we're basically time wizards, right? Like, we're just at the cutting edge of trying to think about what patterns in time line up with other times, and how can we kind of remix that? You know.

00:04:06:24 – 00:04:42:01

Amanda

Wow, I love that, I love that, I also love the, the visual of really just bringing the divine, elements, you know, the unseen elements into manifest form and working with our intention to actually bring those things into reality. And there's there's so much to explore with astrological magic. I mean, of course, there's like ethical considerations and, and, and where is that border between trying to control and manipulate versus align with, with the intention of the universe itself?

00:04:42:03 – 00:05:09:13

Amanda

And, you know, so, so many different things to, to explore. But what I've noticed in retaking all of our astrological magic classes, which I've been doing lately, which is so fun, but I've been noticing that all of you teachers of astrological magic, you're you're talking about reconnecting with your own soul, the soul of the universe, and in the actual like, the emanating force of life itself.

00:05:09:15 – 00:05:33:08

Amanda

It's it's mind blowing. And that we, like you said, we're time wizards. Like we actually have the opportunity to do this in these bodies at this time. So I love I love your perspective. And Jen gives very practical, tangible ways to work with magic that are really fun. Like if you're if you want to go down the rabbit hole, Jen is a fun person to go down the rabbit hole with.

00:05:33:10 – 00:05:33:22

Amanda

Seriously?

00:05:33:23 – 00:05:58:23

Jenn

Yeah, yeah, I've been playing a lot with. So when we're talking about the zodiac, for example, and we are looking at essential dignity, which is kind of telling you how inherent, like what kinds of power does a planet have in this degree of the zodiac, right. There's a very minor dignity called bound rulership that in the ancient tradition talks about manifestation in terms of genuine kinship, like getting on to the planet.

00:05:59:00 – 00:06:18:00

Jenn

You know, we all come from a human body. I don't know anyone born who is not already inside the body of someone else, whether or not they're still related to that person or know them or whatever. And so I've been looking at astrological magic from the lens of that quality of bound or term rulership to talk about how do we genuinely manifest actual results.

00:06:18:01 – 00:06:31:12

Jenn

Right. I want to know what I can actually make happen. I want to know the quality of that happening and what it's going to feel like, what it's going to taste like, what the texture is going to be. And not keep things so abstract and theoretical, you know?

00:06:31:14 – 00:06:45:12

Amanda

Yes. Thank you for that. Because we can we can all get lost in the theoretical, in the abstract. And that's fascinating. And at the end of the day, it's like, well, how do we use this information to actually impact our lives in positive ways? Yeah.

00:06:45:13 – 00:07:01:03

Jenn

Yeah. I mean, it's also like working with the spirit of the time in a tangible way of like, okay, well, let's say everything's in like Jupiter season, but Jupiter is in the bounds of Saturn. Like it's going to be restricted in ways that you might not expect unless you're paying attention on that level, you know.

00:07:01:05 – 00:07:01:14

Amanda

Yeah.

00:07:01:14 – 00:07:22:13

Jenn

So just taking it down the level into like looking at that. And then I found out this is kind of some tea if you're ready for some tea. With astrological magic, you know that the people like rank five, four, 321 for rulership, exaltation, trulicity bound and face. I found out that might have gotten started as a joke.

00:07:22:15 – 00:07:23:09

Amanda

Yeah. What?

00:07:23:11 – 00:07:23:17

Jenn

Yeah.

00:07:23:17 – 00:07:24:13

Amanda

Why? Like.

00:07:24:18 – 00:07:45:08

Jenn

Well, in the year 800, whatever. One of the Arabic era astrologers was kind of a a body dude and not really, like, you know, he knew the right people and he was active in the community, but he was kind of a jokester and a con man ish kind of person. And, in Ben Dikes his volume of Persian Nativities two, he talks about this person.

00:07:45:08 – 00:08:12:12

Jenn

His name is Alan Buss. And it's very likely that Alan Buss was making a joke about ranking essential dignity. That kind of got taken seriously by everybody after him for, like, long, centuries. So I've been thinking about that a lot in terms of astrological magic, when I'm thinking like, okay, well, this talisman is a plus 11. Like, what does that mean in real terms when you think about the qualities of power and magic is also about navigating power.

00:08:12:18 – 00:08:41:00

Jenn

It's like, oh, do I want to navigate the manifestation of this thing? Do I want to talk about rulership? Is it about honor and exaltation? Is it about community? Like Trulicity is kind of a committee of people who get things done. So breaking out from these molds, like, you know, and changing your mind about what you think, you know, like, I can't even tell you, like, I've had so many revelations just changing my mind about what I thought was just a certain rule in astrology.

00:08:41:00 – 00:08:45:00

Jenn

It's like refreshing. It's very scary. So cool.

00:08:45:06 – 00:09:07:12

Amanda

I love that you bring that in, though, because I think it's it's a cautionary tale about getting dogmatic. Yeah. And getting dogmatic really about anything. But but that happens when we don't have our own relationship with the thing, when we don't, when we're not in communion with it ourselves, to actually be asking those questions and not just taking things because someone said it.

00:09:07:13 – 00:09:28:18

Amanda

We all start there, right? Like, there's the place you start is you you learn. Yeah. What other people have found about something and there's nothing wrong with that. But getting stuck there and thinking that because you we've always talked, Jen, about how astrology is alive, it's like it is. It is a sentient being. The whole entire universe is alive.

00:09:28:20 – 00:09:45:04

Amanda

And so when you get I don't know about you, but there's people in my life, my daughters, my love. I learn new things about them all the time. You know, just when I think I know everything, it's like, whoa, you just really surprised me. Like that's amazing. Yeah, right. So that's the same thing can happen with astrology.

00:09:45:06 – 00:10:07:14

Jenn

Even last night, preparing for our conversation today. I learned something new about my chart and had goosebumps. Amazing. I was like, oh my God, I love you, Amanda. This is awesome. Like you, I don't talk about my chart publicly, but it is related a little bit to an aspect that I'd like to talk about during our conversation around the week ahead, and it's one of those, like, you know, when you're paying attention to anything.

00:10:07:14 – 00:10:27:15

Jenn

And I think being a good magician is really critical about paying attention to what's actually here and what needs to happen next. And being sensitive to, like, listening to what needs to happen or what you know, there's the will, like, I want this to happen and it's like, but why? You know, and you were saying about cautionary tales, it's like, yeah, don't do course of things.

00:10:27:15 – 00:10:45:03

Jenn

That's a little weird. You don't want to get caught up in those stories, right? Like, we don't need to foist our power on top of other people. It's more about, how do you actualize what what your will is in a way that is going to manifest the things that push you into that next level for yourself, whatever that might be, you know?

00:10:45:03 – 00:11:01:24

Jenn

Yeah. And that quality starts with simply being present and paying attention. All of the non astrological magicians I talked to always recommend meditation. It's nonstop all the time. They're just like, oh, but you also need to meditate. And I'm like, why are you guys all saying that to like you can do all these other tips and tricks, but they're like, you need to meditate.

00:11:01:24 – 00:11:03:03

Jenn

And I'm like, that's because very.

00:11:03:03 – 00:11:20:11

Amanda

Consistently, right? Yeah, I, I don't I won't put I notice that too. I was like, wait every single person yeah comes back to that. So probably I should pay attention and maybe I should try it out and spend this entire year like completely consistently. Like I want to like do it and then not do it and then do it and not do it.

00:11:20:11 – 00:11:24:11

Amanda

But I've been completely consistent and it it it does change everything.

00:11:24:13 – 00:11:40:23

Jenn

Yeah, yeah yeah yeah I think a little demand avoidance. So when there's like you need to meditate I'm like that's the last thing I'm going to do. But so you know that happens too. But I think there's ways to meditate that aren't like the overt, just like sitting down and being quiet. I think that there's, you know, we can get into our own flow.

00:11:41:00 – 00:11:57:01

Jenn

But yeah. So, you know, as long as we can build the muscles starting there in terms of paying attention carefully. And the more you pay attention to astrology, like, the more it pays attention to you and me to you halfway and says, oh, by the way, there's also this in the corner, and check out that thing over there.

00:11:57:01 – 00:12:03:16

Jenn

And you're just like, wow, I, I've known you for 27 years and you're still unfolding, you know?

00:12:03:18 – 00:12:24:11

Amanda

Yes. Yes. And and again, if we have that approach with all of life. Yeah, right. The people in our life, the experiences, it's like it is continually unfolding. And then we get to delight in the magic of that. Nothing becomes static, nothing stagnant that way, you know, and it's just. Yeah, it's so good. Okay, so let's talk about the week ahead.

00:12:24:11 – 00:12:27:00

Amanda

I know that you are excited to talk about this week.

00:12:27:02 – 00:12:53:10

Jenn

The first thing I want to say is for Jupiter. Oh my goodness. Jupiter is in the 21st degree of Gemini. It's a 21 inch change and it's going to be there for an entire month. Whoa. Because it's stationing on October 9th, and I know that's just a bit after this, but I just want to focus our minds on that idea that, like, Jupiter is in that degree of Gemini for about 30 days.

00:12:53:13 – 00:13:24:15

Jenn

Right. So until October 22nd, that's a long time to spend in one degree of the zodiac. So if we think about all the gifts that Jupiter can bring, and I want to say, you know, Jupiter might be in exile in Gemini, but it has trulicity rulership. And if we are equating qualities of power versus ranking them in a hierarchy, I want to tune in and ask and suggest to everybody listening, and maybe you can put it in the comments like Jupiter is bringing its gifts through community right now, it's bringing support through our social relationships and connections.

00:13:24:17 – 00:13:48:19

Jenn

It's not necessarily in the ways that we think about Jupiter and wealth. People who happen to be socially wealthy are getting by because they have that community element to it. And I think if we're feeling lack, because Jupiter's in Gemini, it's about turning our attention, not maybe to our wallet, but actually to our social relationships and trying to enhance and strengthen those friendships and say, hey, you know, I need your help and can you help me with this right now?

00:13:48:19 – 00:14:08:19

Jenn

You know, and I think that's how we're going to see Jupiter through the end of Gemini. And so as Jupiter stationing to go retrograde, you know, it's already happening is what I'm saying. So this week we're leading into that. And I think it's important to like just reflect on who we're connected to and appreciate how much help we actually are getting, even if it's not necessarily like cash in hand.

00:14:08:19 – 00:14:23:03

Jenn

You know, that kind of support. I do believe that I've experienced in this year so far, a lot of support from social networks and friendships and just different people in my life. And I want to maybe bring that to awareness for everybody listening.

00:14:23:05 – 00:14:31:12

Amanda

So good. And I think a lot of people can feel the need for that right now. Is there anything specific about 21 degrees of Gemini?

00:14:31:14 – 00:14:50:07

Jenn

Not that I prepared for, honestly. I think that it's just good to notice. Like if that is a degree, you could look up the Sabian symbol for that degree. For example. You know, Dan Roger has some Sabian symbols, that he modified from Mark Edmund Jones. I have to cite my sources. If I'm sitting at the library, you know.

00:14:50:09 – 00:15:15:20

Jenn

Yeah. Yeah. So it says dancing couples in a harvest festival. The wholesome enjoyment of organic processes and emotional drives. So, you know, that seems apt. Yeah, that actually ties into what I wanted to suggest for Saturday, but it's only Monday. Okay, so in Monday, the moon is in Virgo and we're entering the last by, like balsamic part of the moon.

00:15:15:20 – 00:15:33:19

Jenn

It's a dark moon. We're going into an eclipse. And so it's very much like a you know, Virgo is a dual bodied sign. And there's a part of Virgo that I love to call the disappearing act, which is when you've planted a seed, don't touch the ground. There's germination happening. And if you dig around in there, you're going to mess up something and it just needs to be unseen.

00:15:33:21 – 00:15:50:13

Jenn

And so there's a lot of Virgo energy that has to be sort of hidden. So I think Mondays kicking off in this way of saying, you know, I'm we're just going to maybe be a little bit more internal and I'm going to be a little more inside my own vibe. And the moon is then going to conjoin the asteroid.

00:15:50:13 – 00:16:09:09

Jenn

Vesta investors, my favorite asteroid. It's the only one that I love to talk about, because we can see it with the naked eye. And that matters to me because in the ancient times, when they were talking about the wandering stars and, you know, figuring out that we had five visible planets and two luminaries, Vesta was also possibly visible.

00:16:09:09 – 00:16:33:23

Jenn

If you knew where to look now, they didn't know it at that time. But that matters to me because the entirety of Rome built there in their whole culture around the Vestal cult. Right. And so to me, Vesta is the part of our chart, my house, where we have to tend that on our own without distraction. So when the moon is conjoined, Vesta in general, it brings this spirit of what do I need today?

00:16:34:03 – 00:16:53:07

Jenn

It's Monday. Do I need a coffee? Do I need a break? Do I need to meditate and get better at magic? Do I need to go to Astrology Hub and by that magic class right now? No. But really, it is like, you know, I think investors and empowerment, but it's a private one. It's not something that we're going to knock on someone's door and be like, the moon's on Vesta, let's hang out.

00:16:53:07 – 00:17:16:13

Jenn

It's more of like a very internalized sense of like checking in with yourself, honoring the fact that there's an eclipse happening on Wednesday and going, what do I really need right now? And maybe something my need is something that needs to be like, invited to leave instead of invited in. Right? There's a little bit of a letting go happening this week because of the South Node eclipse on Wednesday.

00:17:16:15 – 00:17:33:03

Jenn

Virgo loves to let things go. Consummate editor sign. You know, every time I tell people I work as an editor that like, how much Virgo do you have in your chart? And I'm like none. But that's the impression people get is like, okay, cut this, cut that, cut this. So I think on Monday it's a great time. And that was happen.

00:17:33:03 – 00:17:55:18

Jenn

That will be happening at 2 p.m.. 1:54 p.m. Pacific. So about 5 p.m. in New York time. So it's just a good evening to kind of check in. And the other thing that's cool is right around that same time, 2:09 p.m., we have the superior Cassini of Mercury with the sun. This is a really great time to set some intentions because it's the not the retrograde orient of Mercury being conjoined.

00:17:55:18 – 00:18:18:18

Jenn

The sun in the heart of the sun. It's the direct one. So Mercury is very quick on the other side of the sun, clipping along in Libra, moving with the sun into that solar eclipse. What's happening? And so this is a transition point in phase when we look at the mercury cycle, when mercury is before the sun, we're getting it in the Promethean like let's move forward.

00:18:18:18 – 00:18:46:24

Jenn

We saw a lot of energy around thinking about the future and hope. And after this evening on Monday, we're going to be looking backwards. The Epimetheus myth is that these are the creatures that we're forced to look backwards and be reflective. So for the next parts of the mercury cycle until the next retrograde, there is again this quality of looking back, reflection and thinking about the way things are done, doing things the way they're supposed to be done, not really rebelling in the same kind of Promethean way that you see when Mercury is Morningstar.

00:18:47:01 – 00:19:08:20

Jenn

So you have this sort of transition on Monday night into this balsamic moon, dark moon, Vesta, what are my needs? And like, let's think about the past. Let's look back on what's been happening. Right. And so I think that's an important thing to honor. And again, there's also the lure with astrological magic on Mercury. Cosima is a powerful time to be working with Mercury.

00:19:08:20 – 00:19:30:04

Jenn

And it's, you know, a very, important thing to think about also, that Mercury will be in its own balance, which means that it's actually very strong in terms of manifesting material things. So, contract anything that you're doing that really needs to have that clarity of purpose. I would definitely think that it's a good, strong night to be doing that.

00:19:30:06 – 00:19:32:02

Amanda

And this is Monday night. Yeah.

00:19:32:04 – 00:19:35:04

Jenn

Yeah. 2 p.m. on the West Coast, 5 p.m. on the East coast.

00:19:35:06 – 00:19:35:23

Amanda

Okay.

00:19:36:00 – 00:19:41:13

Jenn

Yeah. So everybody loves a good crazy me. So Tuesday kicks off. You need.

00:19:41:13 – 00:19:44:14

Amanda

To make a shirt that says that everybody loves a good.

00:19:44:16 – 00:20:06:22

Jenn

Me. Yeah, right. A bumper sticker like that. Honk if it honk if you can see me. Right. So on Tuesday, blessed day of Mars, we have a lot of upbeat energy that turns into a kind of like fog. Right? So, like, get up on Tuesday, you're like, yeah, day of Mars. Okay, so 9 a.m. moon is going to trine Uranus on the Pacific coast.

00:20:06:24 – 00:20:21:24

Jenn

That would be about noon on New York. I think it would be a great time to have an awesome lunch with someone. You know, you're like, oh, maybe somebody you want to catch up with and have a really dynamic conversation, but don't do the lunch cocktail because the moon is going to oppose Neptune. And it does this every month.

00:20:21:24 – 00:20:38:14

Jenn

Right? So we're kind of in this rhythm of, okay, it's training Uranus. It's opposing Neptune. What do we got? But by noon Pacific 3 p.m. eastern, it's going to be opposing Neptune, which is a little bit disorienting. So there's a lot of energy that get started, maybe a lot of promises made. But we're in a dark moon.

00:20:38:16 – 00:20:58:17

Jenn

Enjoy the conversation. I wouldn't act because he means over. It's a Tuesday. Just, you know, I think just take the foot off the pedal a little bit on the pressure to like, do do do something. I think it's better to just kind of like, okay, that was a great combo. The moon also this week is not void very long.

00:20:58:17 – 00:21:16:01

Jenn

So the moon at this point is in Virgo by around just a couple of hours after this moon Neptune opposition Neptune's at the end of Pisces, right. It's going to go into Libra and it will only be void for less than an hour. So that's just a blip. I mean, you're not even likely going to even notice it.

00:21:16:03 – 00:21:31:17

Jenn

So then it's in Libra. The moon goes into Libra right as the moon is. Yeah. Going into Libra is kind of a free for all that evening, right? We're just the eclipses the next day. So like, it's just the time to like, be it's a very dark moon. Once it's a neighbor, it's in the same sign as the sun.

00:21:31:19 – 00:21:35:08

Jenn

And so it's a matter of just like taking time to pause.

00:21:35:10 – 00:21:43:15

Amanda

Okay. And then we have the eclipse coming. So tell us about the eclipse. I feel like I can't hear about the eclipse enough from like as many different angles as possible.

00:21:43:17 – 00:21:44:02

Jenn

Right.

00:21:44:02 – 00:21:50:02

Amanda

So it's in a do you agree that this is a big eclipse? You know, I know we have a couple times a year.

00:21:50:02 – 00:22:12:10

Jenn

So yeah. So if you have Bernadette reads The Eagle in the dark, which is now republished as Predictive Astrology in a new edition. This is part of the Saros cycle. Eight cycles. So Acero cycle is the eclipse family. Eclipses do this beautiful thing. I wish I could show you the picture of it, but they kind of wrap around the world.

00:22:12:10 – 00:22:29:21

Jenn

That's a tongue twister wrap around the world. Going from South Node all the way to the north or South Pole, all the way to the North Pole or the North Pole all the way to the South Pole. And the shadow patterns create kind of this spiral on the surface of the Earth. All the way from the south to the north or the north to the south.

00:22:29:23 – 00:22:57:00

Jenn

So for this eclipse, it's going from the south to the north. It began in the South Pole in the 1700s, and Bernadette takes the chart of the first eclipse as a kind of imprint. And in that chart, Saturn is conjoined the new moon and Mars midpoint. So where Mars and Moon meet, Saturn is there. That represents separation, loss, physical injury, not good things.

00:22:57:00 – 00:23:19:24

Jenn

A South Node is also minimizing or evacuating. Right. And so I think some of the hype around this eclipse is that we do need to exercise caution. Any time you see Saturn Mars together, it's like, all right, let's just maybe simmer down a bit and not not go too crazy. Right? So I think that that's one reason why there's a lot of attention happening here.

00:23:20:01 – 00:23:47:14

Jenn

Her exact words about it do say separation and loss, to be parted, to finish something and to feel sad at its completion. Physical injury is also possible through straining one's strength. This is not the time to undertake strenuous physical activities. So, you know, it's sort of somber, and in a way it relates to the family of eclipse cycles that would have been recurring in 2006, 1988 and 1970 and so on.

00:23:47:16 – 00:24:13:22

Jenn

And you can kind of see recurring patterns if you wanted to, you know, meditate on those times in your life. If you were on the planet by that point and think about like, oh, yeah, I see an 18 year story because it takes about 18 years for this to occur. Yeah. So it's, not exactly the happiest, news to bring, but I think also, you know, the exact degree of the eclipse is at ten degrees Libra.

00:24:13:24 – 00:24:38:15

Jenn

Anybody who has something at ten Cardinal will likely feel it, especially something at ten degrees of Libra. And you want to also think, you know, for more advanced people listening. If the sun and moon are not necessarily a time Lord in your chart, you might not experience the same acuity of the eclipse as others, but you would likely notice other people in your life having some kind of experience.

00:24:38:15 – 00:24:45:16

Jenn

So we always have to remember when we're talking about these kinds of forecasts, not every transit happens to you, but it's happening, right?

00:24:45:22 – 00:25:14:19

Amanda

Right. Yeah. Jen, one thing that you brought up in your practical astrological magic class that I was fascinated by was you had done some experimenting with doing magic around eclipses. Yeah. And this has been very present since the last eclipses. This question of do we participate in magic around eclipses? Do we look at them? Do we go into meditation?

00:25:14:19 – 00:25:28:06

Amanda

And is it more of a quiet, reverent time like a lot of the indigenous cultures did like? And I just love to hear your opinion and based on your experience of these things.

00:25:28:08 – 00:26:00:01

Jenn

So I was working with some plant alchemy procedures and I was being a little rebellious, saying, okay, well, I'm going to try to do this. Working on a lunar eclipse, conjunct Uranus just to see what will happen. And they ended up breaking the the machine. So that was like obviously, okay, I could have predicted that. And but it was something I had to go through, my own lived experience of it to just see and test it for myself and feel it as well.

00:26:00:01 – 00:26:18:04

Jenn

Like feel the break, feel the burst, feel it going wrong. Because then you can feel what that feels like so that when it starts to happen next time you throttle back with solar eclipses. I have to be honest, I have not gone. I did not go to any of the shadow points of the recent eclipses in the United States either.

00:26:18:06 – 00:26:37:12

Jenn

A number of years ago when it happened or even this last year. Why? I do tend to align myself with the more indigenous perspectives of, like, this is a natural light. We don't really want to look at it. And I think modern experiences are like, oh, let's look at this cool, freaky thing that'll never happen again for like 50 years.

00:26:37:12 – 00:27:17:12

Jenn

And it's like, or we could look at pictures of it, you know, like so, I tend to be more on the like, cautious aspect. But I do know there are times where I think if you are maybe inside the the energetics of an eclipse could multiply your magic. I've heard something like a thousand fold that said, this solar eclipse is on a South Node, so I would, pick magical projects that are working on eliminating blockages, road opening workings, you know, decreasing the amount of static in your life or people in your way to allow you to do what you need to do.

00:27:17:14 – 00:27:34:12

Jenn

Because sometimes we have those people. They're just like, no. And you're like, why are you saying no? No. Like because then you're like, okay, I'm gonna ask you to leave on this eclipse. Like, get out of my way. Other times with North Node eclipses, that might be a time to do something that's more oriented towards abundance or more, or working on something that's moving.

00:27:34:18 – 00:27:52:24

Jenn

But again, then that could be a little bit like Midas, right? Because he's like, make everything I touch gold. And it's like, oh, you didn't quite think that through, right? So I think that with any of them, if you're willing to go with through with it, you can try it. I think that is, risky to I mean, obviously.

00:27:53:01 – 00:28:20:21

Amanda

Right. Yeah. It's interesting because originally when I would hear things like that, it felt a little superstitious, like it was like, wait, you know, it just it just felt superstitious. But having lived through, like you said, having had experiences of, I'm, I'm leaning more towards like proceed with caution. Like it doesn't mean necessarily don't, but just be aware that you're working with really, really potent energies.

00:28:20:21 – 00:28:43:23

Amanda

What I've experienced is that can kind of accelerate the timeline so that you're going to, you know, you know, how you have to a lot of times let go of things before the thing that you think you want to bring into your life can come. Yeah, it can be sort of amplifying that process of letting go. So it can be extraordinarily uncomfortable for a period of time.

00:28:44:01 – 00:28:50:22

Amanda

And I think eventually it straightens itself out. But like, do you really want to throw yourself into the fire that way? You know. Yeah.

00:28:50:24 – 00:29:09:10

Jenn

So and then there's also the idea of how much control do we have. Because I've been I've had eclipses be exactly by degree configured to my natal chart where I was in the middle of something and I had no power to change what was happening. It was like I got swept up into a river and I landed out on a different shore, and I'm like, how did I get here?

00:29:09:12 – 00:29:29:16

Jenn

Looking at the eclipses, it was kind of unavoidable, you know? And I think we do get born and we're in the river of life altogether here. And sometimes we get caught up in it and no matter, no amount of magic is going to necessarily stop an eclipse from working your chart. Yeah. I think it's about thinking about resilience and, you know, appreciating that you're still here, you're still breathing everything.

00:29:29:16 – 00:29:57:15

Jenn

You know, everything changes. And so even this will change, you know. Right. Yeah. So yeah. Yeah. So but hours after this eclipse I'm seeing something that just blew my mind last night. Like preparing for this. So the eclipse is happening at 11:49 a.m. Pacific, and, at 1:27 p.m., Mercury will be cesky quintile Pluto. I'm gonna put my Rick Levine hat on, says quick Queen.

00:29:57:17 – 00:29:59:09

Amanda

Proud of you. So thank you.

00:29:59:09 – 00:30:22:02

Jenn

Right now I know I mean, I'm like, okay, the gen, you know, as a traditional astrologer is about to get hyper modern on you. Okay, Cesky quintile is actually 108 degrees and it means 36 times three. It's also referring to, if you if you think about it, it's a decimal. So you take 360 divided by ten, it's 36 times three.

00:30:22:02 – 00:30:49:17

Jenn

So then you have this concept of the three of manifestation. Now we're kind of ending numerology, magic, ancient wisdom traditions, all of this kind of juicy, simple but very profoundly philosophical, religious, almost engagement with the nature of reality. Right. We have zero as the cosmic egg. We have one as the sun. We have two as the separation into duality.

00:30:49:17 – 00:31:11:23

Jenn

Then we have three, which introduces time, past, present, future. Four is manifesting in space, right? And so we have just kind of this like situation of, of going down into the numbers. And so five is the quintile. And if you put two quintiles on a circle, you're left with 216 degrees divided by two is one. Oh wait that's a lot.

00:31:12:01 – 00:31:38:23

Jenn

But I have a picture. So last night I found this book. This is by Dusty Bunker. And you see these three circles. So that's the triad. And you see this Kopecky fiscus here, which is this kind of almond shape which is about the portal, you know. And you can get that just with the two. But if you put this mystic triangle here, the four, the three, four, five triangle, then the red thing you see here, that's 108 degree arc right there, that that large one.

00:31:38:23 – 00:32:00:03

Jenn

And then this one is a quintile. That's a that's dividing the 360 degree circle by five gives you this little small cap. Right. You think of it like a big clam. 1081 away is a super important number. And so I'm like, okay, Mercury is going to be 108 degrees away from Pluto. What does it mean. Square quintile or tri decile.

00:32:00:05 – 00:32:33:20

Jenn

And it's actually talking about the creativity that we bring to the world that outlasts us. It's the things that we are drawing upon in our ancestry that change the world. And I'm just going, whoa. And then you're not going to believe this. Dusty bunker tells a story about coming up with this concept of how to interpret the trade silence as, and I have Mercury tri decile Pluto in my chart.

00:32:33:22 – 00:32:45:01

Jenn

And I'm like, what are the chances that I'm seeing Mercury try to say how Pluto hours after this eclipse, and then I pick up this book and the author's like, that's in my chart.

00:32:45:03 – 00:32:47:10

Amanda

Wow. And you didn't know that when you picked up?

00:32:47:10 – 00:33:01:15

Jenn

No idea. I had no idea. And then obviously I'm like, oh my God, I have to open up my solar fire and see if I have a trade decimal with my chart and I do that. I'm like, oh my gosh. It just clarifies, like, why am I so obsessed with this in my chart? And I could never make sense of it.

00:33:01:16 – 00:33:21:20

Jenn

My students have asked me what's about that? And I'm like, I don't know, it's a trade decimal. This is the legacy. This is the thing that you're drawing upon from your ancestors, which when you get deeper into magic, ancestors come into the fold because we all come from somewhere, goes back to that concept of bounds and manifesting. But we were also manifested by our ancestors, right?

00:33:21:20 – 00:33:49:08

Jenn

So when we tap into that lineage, then we flourish. So Mercury tricep dile Pluto to me. Sorry. Tri decile or Cisco quintile. It's love these words. It's like oh you want to learn something new. Just get into like all the minor aspects which are not minor because honestly, like if we think about the solar eclipse being something that's allowing us to evacuate, you know, maybe some things that we're attached to.

00:33:49:10 – 00:34:14:22

Jenn

Mercury is coming to a conjunction with Pluto. So it's on the waning side of this trade sale, which is really a true like thinking about how we're going to navigate through looking at the past and making our way towards an opportunity to the future. Pluto's in the last degrees of Capricorn just for a moment until the end of this year, and then it's in Aquarius for 20 years.

00:34:14:24 – 00:34:39:22

Jenn

So this is I in this eclipse. This is a true time for us to speak our wishes for our own legacy, thinking about what's happened since 2008, when Pluto entered Capricorn. What have I done? What has happened to me? What do I want to see happen when Pluto goes into Aquarius for good and Mercury, having just met with the heart of the sun and being involved so closely, an aspect with the eclipse is like, all right, let's make magic.

00:34:39:22 – 00:35:02:13

Jenn

Let's do this. Like think about, you know, like it's like when you're in those rituals or like take a piece of paper, write down what you want to let go of, and then we're all going to toss it into the fire and let it go and see what happens. Right. It's exactly like that. But it's so anchored in the fact that the book I picked up to help me delineate the aspect has that exact aspect in the author's chart, I was just like, okay, I had goosebumps.

00:35:02:13 – 00:35:07:15

Jenn

I'm having him now just even telling you this story. It was just like, I love astrology so much.

00:35:07:16 – 00:35:31:04

Amanda

Astrology so incredible. Yeah, it was so. And this, this a lot of people in the audience will appreciate the, the, the mathematical, almost impossibility of that synchronicity. I know the perfect time. It's happening in the sky. You pick up that book and it's happening and that you get to translate that for the audience, because what is it mean for each individual here?

00:35:31:04 – 00:36:00:09

Amanda

What is that legacy that you're leaving? What is that thing that will outlive, outlast you? And maybe you don't know and like Gen Z, maybe this is about just being willing to release the things that aren't that so that you can align even more fully with whatever that is. But Gen, I have to marvel at the fact that I'm doing the final finishing touches on my book that I spoke to you about years ago.

00:36:00:13 – 00:36:30:24

Amanda

Yeah, finally, that day I have my final meeting with my book coach, and the book is very much about Pluto's dance in my charts since 2008, the last 16 years and everything that's happened and all the transformation and all the stories that I have to tell as a result of that. And so it was like, oh my God, now I'm over here getting my mind blown just watching what you're saying, because how the astrology lined up so literally for us.

00:36:31:02 – 00:36:55:23

Jenn

Oh yeah. I have to quote dusty directly. And you say that creativity that goes on forever, long after the body has been transformed. If that's not a book, I don't know what it is because I have all these books here and like all these creative astrologers, including dusty, who raised four children and then went on to be a super famous astrologer published author, I'm just like, I love this creativity that lasts forever.

00:36:55:23 – 00:37:14:07

Jenn

It's true. And you know, so that's a perfect time to be doing that. Yeah. And I think also, if we can all tune into that element of like our creative unleashing, that is our permanent legacy, especially configured to Pluto. You know, it's like this is our chance. Pluto still in Capricorn. It's all about that legacy, you know, just like let it go.

00:37:14:07 – 00:37:15:18

Jenn

Let it happen. You know.

00:37:15:20 – 00:37:32:20

Amanda

You know, and it's so interesting. I don't I don't know about all of you, but there is something like you said that before that this eclipse has something to do with something ending that you feel sad about. Yeah. So, so immediately I thought of the book because I've just so enjoy the process of writing it and the fact that it's almost done.

00:37:32:20 – 00:37:49:15

Amanda

I'm like, oh no, like I've got to start about that. But then also Pluto leaving Capricorn, which is it's like one of those things where like, we'll never, ever, ever have this again. Neither will our children. Yeah. And I mean, maybe there's something happens in life.

00:37:49:17 – 00:37:53:14

Jenn

Yeah, right. Unless you download it on hard drives. But then we might not be human, so. Right.

00:37:53:15 – 00:38:18:16

Amanda

Exactly. Yeah. So, so, but like, literally what we've gotten to experience collectively with Pluto and in a court in Capricorn, it's just it's never going to happen again. There's something like nostalgic and sad about that, even though it's been erased, like it's woe is for me personally. I know for a lot of people. Yeah. But so, yeah, I think it's, I think it's a really interesting contemplation that you're inviting us into around this particular aspect.

00:38:18:18 – 00:38:40:21

Jenn

Yeah. And also, you know, in, in a week when planets are not necessarily in Ptolemaic configuration and the moon is the only one carrying the work, you know, tuning into these other levels and these octave of planetary communication gives us a little more meat on the bone to work with and go a bit more esoteric. Maybe it'll be a little bit more spiritual.

00:38:40:23 – 00:38:57:22

Jenn

A little less like, you know, like traditional rules. It's like. No, because, you know, the more I spend time at Kaili in this library and encounter the 20th century, the more I'm learning about the movements of the galaxy. Like, here's a fun fact. Did you know the moon doesn't actually orbit the Earth.

00:38:57:24 – 00:38:58:21

Amanda

But.

00:38:58:23 – 00:39:17:07

Jenn

It orbits the moon Earth barycenter, which is the common point of gravity between them and that floats under the surface of the Earth about a thousand miles away from the Earth's crust. Oh, I know, I know, and you hear and you see this written like common sense in all these astrology books, like, oh, by the way, the moon doesn't orbit the Earth.

00:39:17:09 – 00:39:38:10

Jenn

It orbits the very center of the moon Earth relationship. It's relational. I was like, well, you and I, we're relational. Like, of course, why would the moon not be right? So you learn like, these beautiful ways that the astronomy and the math come together with this, like hard core philosophical boldness, this message for our hearts, you know, it's like awesome.

00:39:38:12 – 00:39:45:07

Amanda

If you ever want to geek out on astrology, Jen is just like a great person to do it with. I mean, just so amazing.

00:39:45:09 – 00:39:46:00

Jenn

Okay, okay.

00:39:46:00 – 00:39:52:23

Amanda

Okay, so we have these this huge like culminating moment of the week. Is there anything is there anything bigger than the.

00:39:53:00 – 00:40:11:06

Jenn

No, no. This was really honestly like I'm still coming down from the goosebumps on it. But like this was sort of the biggest thing that I saw honestly. Like the eclipse is no small joke. It's a, it's a I mean, it it effectively ushers in a new month. Right. So it's a new moon solar eclipse on Thursday. We're going to get a break.

00:40:11:06 – 00:40:34:21

Jenn

It's going to be like, okay everybody, Moon's trine Jupiter. It's Jupiter's day. Call a friend gab just, you know, chill out for a minute. By the time we get to overnight, there's between Thursday and Friday, the moon will get into Scorpio. And then it's kind of like a water party. Right? So we've got some, you know, configurations like Venus is going to try and Saturn on Friday.

00:40:35:01 – 00:40:52:11

Jenn

You know, what does it mean. Well Venus brings ease. So Saturn hard bits are going to get a bit softened. It's Friday you know they're in water signs. And I think Saturn's going to get some support from the Venus. And the moon is going to be just floating around in Scorpio. And so an intensity, it's an engagement.

00:40:52:13 – 00:41:13:19

Jenn

But really, you know, the moon will be in Scorpio until early, early, afternoon Sunday on the West coast. So on Saturday, what we're looking at again is the moon conjunct Venus, the moon and Mars. And then in the wee hours, if you're still awake at midnight on the West coast or 3 a.m. in New York on Saturday night, the mercury will square Mars.

00:41:13:19 – 00:41:38:16

Jenn

So it might be a night to like, do last minute edits at your computer or not start a bar fight. You know, like Mercury Square. Mars could be some conversations you wish you didn't have. So just knowing that is like, we could go to bed early tonight and just maybe put that in the dreams in, not in in someone's mind, but, but actually, yeah, after this, it's a bit of a chill, like start to the month, you know.

00:41:38:18 – 00:41:44:01

Amanda

Wow. Okay. Yeah. Wow. Comes in with a bang and then we get a little bit of a reprieve.

00:41:44:04 – 00:41:45:17

Jenn

Recovery? Yeah, exactly. Yeah.

00:41:45:18 – 00:42:15:16

Amanda

It's really nice. Jen. Thank you so much. This is so helpful. We haven't done a weekly weather like this in a while actually. And I'm loving it. Like I'm really I'm enjoying your read on the week. And it just reminds me, you know, as Time Wizards, it's really important to be anchored in time. It's really important to be aware of the moving of the universe so that we can co-create with it.

00:42:15:16 – 00:42:26:15

Amanda

We can really consciously work with it. So thank you for bringing our awareness to some of these big opportunities. I mean, they actually feel like big opportunities this week. Yeah, yeah. All right. Happy to do it.

00:42:26:17 – 00:42:27:00

Jenn

Thank you.

00:42:27:00 – 00:42:47:13

Amanda
