Hello, my name is Christopher Renstrom and I'm your weekly horoscope columnist here on Astrology Hub. And this time, I wanted to talk to you about Jupiter, the planet of good fortune and higher purpose. Winding up its day in the zodiac sign of Gemini.

Jupiter. Whenever it transits a sign that means it goes and spends a year in a zodiac sign. Jupiter. Always brings with it good fortune. This is something that's greatly celebrated in astrological circles. People are always happy about Jupiter entering their zodiac sign. It means, oh, wow, good things are going to happen to me. My life is going to attain a sense of higher purpose.

I'm going to feel like I've got direction. I'm going to feel like I know where I'm going. I'm going to feel like the universe, the universe is on my side. Now, sometimes Jupiter meets these expectations and sometimes Jupiter doesn't quite meet these expectations. Now, some people are kind of like Jupiter. Well, it comes into your sign and and and I didn't see my life greatly transformed.

I didn't win the lottery. I didn't find out about a rich uncle living in Marseilles who willed me a villa or something along those lines, but not all the time. Or Jupiter's fortunes. Not all the time. Or Jupiter's blessings recognized. A lot of times we don't really recognize good fortune when it comes into our life. We expect something huge and dramatic, an enormous breakthrough, something that, transforms our life absolutely dramatically.

And sometimes, sometimes we don't pay attention to the small races, the small blessings that come into our lives. Now, Jupiter, when it's traveling through the zodiac sign of Gemini, tends to bring its blessings in smaller packages. That's because Gemini is ruled by the planet Mercury. And Mercury is a planet that's very involved in the day to day workings of our lives.

Mercury is all about getting from here to there. Maybe it's your daily commute. Maybe it's your daily routine. And maybe it's the people that you meet or the acquaintances that you make in your everyday life. A lot of times Mercury gets ignored because it's your typical everyday life. But a lot of times we can experience small miracles and wonderful turns of good fortune in small and humble ways.

And that's why it's always important to be very open to these things when they happen. Now Jupiter entered the zodiac sign of Gemini on May 25th, 2024. And what that means is that, people born under air and fire signs would have begun to experience an uptick in fortune. Okay, it might have started out small. It might have gained momentum.

It might have brought in all sorts of exciting, invitations and opportunities and maybe even offers for you that would have begun around that period of time. So what would happen is that, for instance, okay, let's say you're born under the sign of Gemini. That's going to be an easy one to work with because we have Jupiter traveling through the zodiac sign of Gemini in that May 25th period.

You might have all of a sudden experience things heading your way, going in direction, in your direction. It's kind of like the wind filling your sails on a on a sailboat, and you beginning to move forward in your life at a nice clip pace. Okay, so so there's the feeling that the wind is at your back and that you're going from one good thing to another good thing that things are turning out in your favor.

And this is a really good thing. You know, you might even think of yourself as having the golden touch. All right. So during this period of time, things would have improved. You would have gotten heartening or encouraging news support, from people, who are in your corner, recognition from people in high places and it really would have moved you or propelled you forward into your life.

Now, let's say around October 9th, 2024. Well, let's not make it the exact day we don't really experience these things on exact days. Perhaps in the couple of weeks leading up to October 9th, 2024. If you were born under Gemini. You might have experienced Jupiter slowing down in the sky. What that would mean is that the good fortune wasn't coming as quickly as it had been.

There wasn't that momentum. There wasn't that, you know, exciting anticipation of of checking out your bank account every day and seeing that, you know, the coffers had filled just a little bit more than they had been the day previous. There would have been a feeling that your momentum, that your good fortune was slowing down so that by October 9th, when Jupiter, stationed in the sky, came to to a stop in the sky, Jupiter then began its retrograde.

It then began its backwards motion. October 9th of 2024. And this would have been a feeling, not only of having lost your momentum, and not only having lost that feeling of like, I'm blessed, you know? But but moving backwards, almost like like like you had to give back maybe some of the good fortune that had come your way or, or you began to see that there were certain costs or expenses that were associated to your good fortune, or that there were certain conditions that now were being called upon.

And so with this slowing down of motion, moving backwards, in in your life, in your, in your forward movement momentum, it's natural that you would have begun to question, whether you were on the right track, you know, you know, is this something where, you know, I had a lucky streak, and now I've come to the end of it.

Is this, something where I learned the lesson that nothing comes for free in life, and now I have to pay the piper in some sort of way. Or was this feeling that, you know. Well, it. My good fortune had gone as far as it could go, and now it's over, and I need to move on to something else.

Maybe move on to something different. And for some of you out there, you might have felt very much like, okay, you know, that's that's that's as far as this, good fortune went. And now I'm going to move on to something else and, and you would have left the path that you were on. But for others of you, you might have felt very much like I am onto something, you know, I, I liked going this direction.

I liked answering this call for my higher purpose. I liked the way that I was feeling. I really believed that I was being myself for being true to myself. This might have been associated to a job or a position. Benevolent circumstances, as I said, or things that had eluded or come together in your life to sort of lift you up out of, where you had been.

Maybe it was a rut. Maybe it was a corner. Maybe it was, you know, a life that you weren't particularly happy or excited about living. You know, maybe it was a lifestyle that, you know, felt empty or like you were going through the motions. So you had this, you know, exciting uplift of the Jupiter. It's moved backwards.

And, and and, you know, everyone's saying, well, you know, move on to something else. And there was a part of you deep inside that was saying, I don't want to move on to something else. I really liked what I was doing. I really like who I am when I'm doing this and and maybe I'm not going to get paid much.

Maybe I'm not going to get paid anything. Maybe. Maybe, you know, this isn't a practical thing that I should be following, but it makes me feel like I have a purpose in my life. It makes me feel like I'm involved in some sort of, I don't know, creative collaboration with the universe or some sort of some other sort of invisible agency that was leading me down this road.

I really had a sense of purpose. As I said, if you stayed with that sense of purpose, if you committed to that, path that you were on, where you couldn't really see your way clearly, where, where maybe even doors were closing to you were and you were being told, you know, take a detour or get off this life path or go back to where you were before, but you stayed with it.

What you might have begun to feel around January 4th was a return of that momentum again, a return of that forward moving energy. It might have felt like a relief, you know, that the winds were once more filling your cells. And this was exciting and this was wonderful. It might have felt like a happy confirmation. You know, you might have done a period of time where you were really out there in the wilderness, and it might have felt like, you know what?

I was right to stay with this path. I was right to believe in myself. I was right to to to follow this this, sense of purpose, to answer, this calling from my higher purpose. And again, that energy is beginning to build more again, it's it's going to feel stronger. And as a result, you're going to feel validated and you're going to feel good about where you're going.

So this is basically where we are with Jupiter in Gemini. As I said before, Jupiter is the planet of, good fortune and higher purpose. But Jupiter in Gemini is not going to bless everyone equally. That's because Jupiter only spends one year in each one of the zodiac signs. There are 12 zodiac signs, and Jupiter doesn't take 12 years to go through all 12 of the zodiac signs.

It spends one year there, and for one year a certain sign is seen as being favored by Jupiter, and, receiving the blessings. But again, these these favors of Jupiter, this favoritism from the giant planet isn't just given to you gratis or unconditionally. You also have to move into a collaborative relationship with this planet. And there are certain things that Jupiter is going to ask of you.

And as I was noting earlier, Jupiter isn't going to just favor Gemini. Indeed, Jupiter would have favored all three of the air signs. So if you were born under Gemini, if you're born under Libra, if you're born under Aquarius, or let's say you have Gemini Rising or your Libra Rising, or your Aquarius Rising, these are all sails that have been lifted in people's horoscopes, sails that are looking to catch the wind.

And they would have caught the wind. So the benefits that Gemini would have enjoyed this year would have also likewise been shared with, the zodiac signs of Libra and Aquarius. But there are other zodiac signs that are going to benefit as well. And those are the fire signs, particularly Aries and Leo. And that's because areas in Leo being fire signs form six tiles to the zodiac sign of Gemini.

All right. Gemini is in the neighborhood of these two fire signs. The fire signs are only 60 degrees away from Gemini, so it's kind of like a neighbor. And so the fire signs being of a, yang energy and masculine energy, just like air benefits from air through that, through that understanding. Another sign, that should have benefited.

And the reason I say should have is because it's always a little bit iffy. Would have been the third fire sign. Sagittarius. Now, why am I, you know, throwing a sort of, wet towel on that idea for sagittarians. And and I can just hear you sagittarians out there in the audience, like. Yeah. Why are you cramping our style?

Christopher? Okay, well, the reason is, whenever, Jupiter is traveling in an opposite sign and Gemini is opposite the zodiac sign of Sagittarius. And what I mean by opposite is that there are 180 degrees away from each other on, 360 degrees circle. Or perhaps an easier way to remember it is that they're six months away from each other in a calendar year, or six signs away from each other on this, a diagonal wheel.

So when you have a sign, a planet that's opposite that, particularly a planet like Jupiter, it has that energy. And what I mean by halves is h a LV s that energy, it reduces that energy by half, because the planet is as far away from you as, as as it can be. This becomes particularly important for a Sagittarius because Jupiter is the ruling planet of Sagittarius.

Jupiter rules two zodiac signs, and that is Sagittarius and Pisces. So it's kind of like you're you're you're trying to connect to a ruling planet and that ruling planet. And remember a ruling planet to me, with the way that I work for them with ruling planets is that ruling planets are the planet that rule your birth sign. That's not the way a lot of other astrologers work.

So that's why I sort of take a moment to clarify that it's the way I work. And see if this works for you or not. But if you're born under Sagittarius or Pisces, Jupiter is your ruling planet. Pisces actually gets two. It's Jupiter and Neptune, the modern ruler. But Jupiter is still ruling Pisces. Jupiter is your ruling planet, so?

So your ruling planet is like your patron saint, your corporate sponsor, your dead mother and your life coach all wrapped up into one. You're if you're born into a particular planet, every zodiac sign has one. That planet is your patron, and that planet is always looking out for you. So in the situation of Sagittarius, with Jupiter being in its opposite sign, it's as far away on a circle as it can be.

Jupiter is still helping out the Sagittarius and but not in close proximity. It's kind of like the difference between people who are sitting right there in front at a Taylor Swift concert and people who are sitting in the back watching Taylor Swift on the screen. Okay, so there isn't a proximity, there is a to nearness. So although Jupiter is still working on your behalf, it's not as powerful, it's not as radiant as it can be.

And so the question then becomes, with Jupiter and Gemini, as far as the Sagittarius is concerned, that, those blessings, that good fortune, that higher sense of purpose that Jupiter brings may actually be something that is experienced by the people around you if you're born under a Sagittarius rather than yourself. In other words, you might be like, oh, you know, your your, spouse got a lucky break or the person that you're seeing, I found out some fantastic news or someone that you're a creative collaborator with, you know, gets all the recognition and you don't, you know, so there's a kind of thing of, like, the favoritism was shown to someone close to

you, but not to you. And that's why I say it's always a bit of a mixed bag. That's probably a really good way to describe it. It's always a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to Jupiter traveling through your opposite sign. Now, the signs that would have struggled with, Jupiter being in the zodiac sign of Gemini would have been the water and the Earth signs.

And that's because the water and the Earth signs don't form a trying to Gemini. And the water and the Earth signs don't form a sextile. Trine is, when you've got two planets in different signs, but they share the same element. So that's the most simpatico relationship that you can have, between planets in astrology. It's really, really wonderful.

Sextile is, as I demonstrated earlier, if you're in a fire sign and you're close to Gemini in, in on the zodiac wheel, then you get the benefit of the sextile. Not as good as a Taurean, but it's still, you know, nothing to, like, ignore. You know, it's it's a it's a wonderful thing. But when we deal with the water and the earth signs, they're either squaring, the Gemini or they just don't get the Gemini.

All right. There's there's, it's not connecting in the best ways that it could connect, which would be trine sextile and even conjunction. And so what this represents is that Jupiter comes into Gemini, brings higher purpose, good fortune to the sense of of Gemini to into the zodiac sign of Gemini. And how does this show up? You know, just this Jupiter and Gemini.

How does it show up? Well, Jupiter in Gemini brings changes, and that's a word that we probably hear a lot. We're like, this is a year of change, or this planet is bringing change or or something along those lines. There are different types of changes in astrology. You can have changes as in a change of scene. I traveled somewhere else, or I changed up what I do in my day to day routine so you can have a change of of scene or a change of perspective.

You can have catastrophic changes in which something really terrible or difficult happens. And and it's changed your whole world. You can have changes, like adjustments, you know, little things that you can do, to improve, a situation, unfolding developments can be a change. And I'm saying this only to say that change is a word that's used really quite, and generally.

But there are specific aspects to the notion of change. So what kind of specific changes does Jupiter and Gemini bring into your life? Well, what it brings about is change ability. Okay. That circumstance, chances are, dynamic that they're exciting and that there are a lot of different changes that are going on in terms of, you know, there could be options, there could be alternatives, there could be opportunities that arise and that really, you know, become intransigent or exciting.

Begs you to take your attention from your day to day routine and to focus on them. Okay. Now that sort of thing of like, you know, you never know what can happen from, conversation or reading a text, you know, you might be introduced or invited or whatever. Okay. Air signs love this. It's part of the reason why air signs are addicted to their, iPhones or their Android phones.

You know, it's like, you never know. You might hear something from out of the blue, and it could change things, you know, completely. So air signs love this. The other element that loves this are fire signs. You know, it's kind of like when I heard about this change, I got this offer. I got this opportunity. And fire signs immediately become all kinds of excited and enthralled.

And just like, I can't wait to see what's going to happen, I bet it's going to, like, change my life from top to bottom. Okay, so these signs get excited about changes and water and earth signs. Not so much. Okay, they they say they want change, you know, and would love something like a break or a breakthrough or something along those lines.

But the earth and water signs want something that's solid. Okay. Maybe this sign that's kind of on the fence with that would be Pisces as a water sign. It's ruled by Jupiter. Its modern ruler is Neptune. And so Pisces. Pisces is pretty much open to whatever change is going to come its way. It's a mutable sign, so it's going to be open to that.

So I might move Pisces that, out of that particular column, but Jupiter in Gemini brings too many changes. Okay. And that's because Jupiter will automatically multiply what you have. All right? It's the largest planet in the solar system yet. It brings good things into your life, and then it can multiply them. It can bring a lot of wonderful things along with it.

Like, okay, let's say here's an example. Let's say you win the lottery. I won the lottery. Isn't this great? All of a sudden all these cameras show up. You have more friends than you ever knew that you had before. People love and adore you. And that's because good fortune is smiled on you. I mean, everyone's got best friends when good fortune is smiling on you.

And so that's what Jupiter does. It will multiply. You know, those those those friendships and things. But Jupiter also multiplies changes. This is part of the reason why Jupiter has difficulty in the zodiac sign of Gemini. Jupiter prefers being in Sagittarius or being in Pisces, because these are signs that have a larger picture of what's going on when Jupiter is in a zodiac sign, a mercury ruled sign like Gemini or Virgo, there's too many changes.

The rapid fire, it's one thing after the other, and you kind of like, have to juggle and you have to run and and make these alterations. And as I was saying earlier, water and earth aren't always the best at that. That's because Jupiter and Gemini brings changes that are, in the moment. Okay. That that you hear about this information or it's a tip or an inside scoop and, it's it's in the moment.

So, so if you hear about this, you have to act on it right away, you know, and some of the Earth signs can be like, I can't act on that right now. I've got these responsible parties and things I must do, you know, so, so, so a Jupiter Gemini change is like, here's a tip, here's a scoop. Act on it right now.

The other thing that a Jupiter and Gemini brings has changed is that it's impromptu. So you have to be spontaneous, you have to improvise. You you have to think in the moment, react in the moment and make decisions in the moment. Something that again, the water and the earth signs can be a little bit more slow about that or they're not sure whether this is a good thing or not, whether it's sustainable or not.

And that gets me to the third point I wanted to make about changes that come with Jupiter in Gemini. Is that change under Jupiter in Gemini comes without guarantees. All right. So, you hear about an inside scoop, you get a tip. There's no guarantee that this is going to favor you. There's no guarantee that this lucky break has your name on it.

Okay. It it's like a ball coming over the net. And, like volleyball, a ball comes over the net. But, you know, there's no guarantee that you're the one who's going to get the ball. It could be different. Other people, you know, on your team getting the ball or whatever have you. So so there's no guarantee that this change is going to work out or that it's going to stick, or that it was even meant for you.

And that's something that can really get the cancers and the Scorpios and the Capricorns to freeze up. Okay. They'll be like, if there's no guarantee to this, if there's, you know, no underwriting of something, then you know, I'm not going to risk it. I'm not going to waste my time with this. I'm not going to. Okay. And so those signs can sort of turn up their nose or avoid or put it off, you know, they have more faith in what they're building in their lives.

I mean, those signs that I just shared with you the cancer, the Scorpio, the Taurus, the Capricorn, these are builders, okay? So they want to take resources and they want to improve on their resources. They don't want to interrupt that project or that enterprise for something that isn't guaranteed, for something that isn't locked in. Okay. And so that's where, Jupiter in in Gemini can be a little dicey, a little difficult for those zodiac signs.

They don't really quite get how the Jupiter in Gemini works. Now, Jupiter will be in the zodiac sign until June 9th. On June 9th, it will change signs. Actually, Jupiter will move from Gemini into the zodiac sign of cancer. And that's a new playing field. New rules and new beneficiaries that are going to be, associated connected to Jupiter's change of sign.

As I said, Jupiter brings, it is the plan of good fortune and higher purpose. And that's the way that Jupiter, brings goodness into the world. Good begets good. Is the Jupiter in point of view. And this is what I mean by. Has your good fortune made you a good person? Jupiter and Gemini is traveling through a very sensitive angle of your horoscope, a part of your horoscope that's very much connected to the past, to past patterns, to family, and your responsibilities and obligation to family.

It's a feeling of past patterns and what you're now confronting or seeing in yourself.

It doesn't work out okay. Or we need to take the risk of we have to stay with something that's familiar and say no to something new, and to realize that that's the way that we should have gone. We don't get punished for making what we might think of as wrong choices. We need to have a process to our decision making.

As a Capricorn, you're an Earth sign, so you work hard at what you do and you produce results, and you expect the results to be on par with the industry and the effort that you have put into, a project to enterprise to be on par with the, energy and the time that you have invested and, as an Earth sign.

This is what, I often refer to this particular position as being the, paying your dues position. And, and you get to tested with Capricorn. And early June, I want you to continue to experiment and to explore for as long as you can afford to do it. But you know what? In my gut, I feel like I've got this. And guess what, Capricorn, you do. If you're an Aquarius or you have Aquarius Rising Jupiter traveling through the zodiac sign of Gemini has been absolutely game changing for you, and in a good way. Gemini is an air sign, just like Aquarius is an air sign. So, Jupiter is essentially forming a trying to your own zodiac sign.

You were born under the opposite sign to Leo in the Zodiac. Leo, which is ruled by the sun, which loves recognition and can't get enough recognition. It gets very uncomfortable when there's too much recognition, when there's too much support.

And it just it gets uncomfortable not because it feels like it's going to do something wrong or that it's undeserving, but that it's physically not a comfortable sensation. They don't need the support? No, they need it, and they need it very, very deeply. But they don't want anyone to know that. Do you know? But it just comes from it's almost like a reflexive, reaction more than anything else. But Jupiter turns retrograde in October of last year, it was moving backwards in the sky. You might have felt like people were questioning whether you were up to a job, or whether they should be supporting you in your efforts. And now people are finding me, less than or maybe old hat or something like that. Maybe it's lent. It's life. Nevertheless, this period of time that Jupiter was retrograde, what else made this new feeling of recognition matter to you? Okay, before in your life you might have, as I said, deflected attention and praised someone else. Something along those lines. I deserve this recognition, I deserve this praise, I, I deserve this, and I like this. I like this feeling. I want to own it. You know, that's kind of the Aquarian thing. You know, what is truth? What is beauty? What is justice? What is, equality? What is equity? But now you're feeling more like a person. If you're born under Pisces or you have Pisces rising this period of time, when Jupiter has been traveling through the zodiac sign of Gemini has really brought up issues of home, birth and family.

These are things that are often associated to Jupiter. So, so there's something that's riding on this where you have to make it actual, an actual, decision. Now, I don't know. Let's say your company is thinking about sending you to a different branch or something like that. And so this is something that might be, doable. This is something that might be presentable. This is something that might be negotiable. But then again, maybe you started a relationship, since, Jupiter entered Gemini May 25th of 2024, where you're, you know, you have your own place. They have their own place, and you're going back and forth, and maybe you're leaving things at their place, and they're leaving things at your place, and.

And you're kind of working with this here or there, you know, thing or here and there, and then trying to figure out, well, what's the next step? How do we come together here? Together. And that's going to become more definitive the more that you can rehearse and play around with that idea between now and and and when Jupiter changes, signs will be very strong. Well, you then you do have to move in or or then it isn't like, okay, am I going to move in with the person I've been saying? So. So March 2nd might almost be when an option is taken off the table, or your hand has been forced in some way. That might be an interest or a fascination with family tree and ancestry and things like that. But it might also be connected to a re embracing of something that was traditional in your family. Maybe our family was very scientific and intellectual, and we become very religious or very spiritual. There may be a, a break with with what the family plan was for you or the or the family set up for you. What can happen with Jupiter going through this part of the chart is you kind of reconnecting, with, with the family again.

And it could be a reconnection in which, you know, you broke with the family culturally or belief system. E if there's such a word, is that. But now you've come to a place where you really understand it. Maybe you want a little more religion in your science, or a little bit more science in your religion, or something along those lines where you come full circle and come back to embrace and appreciate, what were maybe tenets of the home that you were raised in.

But if that doesn't happen, there could be a growing sort of sympathy or an understanding. Who knows? Again, you, you you may still be as politically divided as ever, but there may be more of a flexibility, more of an understanding, more of a grace that you're willing to extend or that they're willing to extend to you might be the simple fact that they miss you or you miss them.

And so whatever this move or relocation, which I feel is kind of in the cards for you, this period of time of Jupiter winding up its stay in Gemini between now and early June, this is kind of a precursor or this is kind of a preview to Uranus entering Gemini in July.
