Why blame yourself when it's supervisors who are the problem? They're the ones riding the brakes, sitting on decisions, and threatening to derail what you've got in the works because they don't understand how to proceed. Obviously, you can't tell these people to pull their heads out of their derrieres (although you'll be sorely tempted to on June 14th), but what you can do is have a sit-down conversation. Instead of trying to win them over to your side, try a little reassurance instead. Sometimes all it takes is some handholding and encouragement to get people to open up, relax, and try something new.
