Aries Weekly Horoscope | July 28th – August 3rd 2025
No one’s trying to take you by surprise by asking if youβre OK. It’s a question β nothing more; nothing less. Emotionally speaking, Aries people are like hardboiled private eyes who sleep with a gun under the pillow, ready to fire at the first sign of intrusion yet for a zodiac sign who professes to be bold and fearless, you’re carrying a lot of angst these days. Concern is not a form of manipulation; it shows people care. Perhaps if you let someone be there for you in the way you’re always there for them you might find it’s not so bad sharing your troubles; it’s even healthy.

On August 1st Venus in Cancer will form a square to Neptune and Saturn in Aries. This is one of Astrology’s “can’t do anything right” squares because the contradictory planetary energies are hopelessly entangled. They can’t resolve their difference any more than they can leave things alone. Venus in Cancer is deeply sensitive and wants to help while Neptune and Saturn in Aries is solidly stoic and would rather sleep on a bed of nails than admit to any weakness or vulnerability. When these energies square then feelings on both sides can’t help but be hurt. A watery Venus, sensing hidden conflicting emotions, will always reach out and a Neptune/Saturn energy, confronted by someone’s concern, will always back away because they don’t want to be smothered. You can expect accusations of “You hurt my feelings” and “Stop mothering me!” to fly like lunch trays in a high school cafeteria food fight. The best thing to do with a square like this is to let the feelings work themselves out. If this is a work association then maintaining a professional distance may be best for the next couple of weeks and if it’s a more intimate relationship? Then expect to have repeat conversations that last long into the night.

Tired of the bickering? It’s a question worth asking on July 23d when Venus in Gemini forms a square to Mars in Virgo. This is a “sibling aspect” where the two planets carry on like brothers or sisters fighting over the TV remote. You can treat this like another round of kicking each other under the table or you can press the pause button and ask what’s up? Unpacking a history of resentment with a loved one isn’t easy but it’s a good time do it. After years of squabbling, you may discover you’re finally in the headspace to resolve differences once and for all.

Sun/Pluto oppositions (like the one on July 25th) are famous for either/or dilemmas. It will feel like you have to choose between your own best interests or somebody else’s. Now if you were a Leo this would be easy (Leos always come first!) but you’re an Aquarius which means you’ll naturally want to help out a partner, associate, or collaborator. Thankfully you won’t have to fall on your sword. The recent Sun double trine to Saturn and Neptune shows that there are people who can help out β either by lending a hand or providing guidance. Follow their lead and you’ll ensure that nobody gets left hanging.

Dipping into rainy day funds always gets you down. And it doesn’t matter how many times you tell yourself that this is what savings are for, you will always feel like you’re standing on the brink of financial disaster. You aren’t. If anything the double Sun trine to both Saturn and Neptune ensures that you will not only recover what you laid out quickly, but that whatever you’re paying for saves money in the long run. Not right away, perhaps; but it will happen. Meanwhile try not to bemoan expenses too loudly because you’re doing a lot better than some of the people around you.

Are you being contrary for contrary’s sake? It happens to even the best of Scorpios. Usually your arguments are well-founded because you’ll take the time to research and identify where all the weak points are in a pitch, proposal, or request; however the Venus/Mars square on July 23d shows that you may be playing Devil’s Advocate more out of habit than careful consideration. It might be time to put down the pitchfork and give matters another look-see. Chances are you’ll discover that you’re being more than just a little biased in your judgment and that what’s really needed is your support and not your censure.

It’s going to feel like you can’t do anything right by someone on July 23d. And you’re right; you can’t. But the problem isn’t you β it’s the other person. As a Libra, you tend to be more open-minded about criticism. You’re all ears if someone has something valuable to impart, but if someone is just putting you down, then you’ll just smile, nod, and retreat from the conversation. Unfortunately a certain spoiler in your life isn’t getting the hint so you may have to take matters into your own hands. Do it with your customary grace and pointedness and s/he will get off your case.

The Venus/Mars square on July 23d can be playful or exacerbating depending on your mood. This is the “I say no, but you still come back” planetary combination. It’s fun for an office flirtation, but it takes on more of a Yo-Yo effect when it shows up in serious relationships or associations. This can create a pattern where you’re going back and forth or up and down with another person and neither is making a true commitment to getting on the same page. Hopefully frustration will lead to some kind of break through next week β otherwise you may have to call the whole thing off.

Things that used to come easy don’t anymore, but that doesn’t mean you can’t deliver. Admittedly it’s been a while since you’ve been at the top of your game but instead of caving into fear, tap into the energy of the Sun/Saturn trine on July 24th and show the world (as well as yourself) that you’re up to the task at hand. Moreover tackling this challenge now gets you to lean into that talent, forte, or expertise that’s been collecting dust on the back shelf for too long. Not only will you discover you still have what it takes β you’ll find you have even more!

New Moons often create emotional blind spots which means that the New Moon in Leo on July 24th could create a blind spot when it comes to your heart (which Leo rules.) You trust your heart and know that what you feel is right but not everyone’s going to feel the same way that you do because they have hearts of their own. Leo Moons tend to get imperious, which is why it’s so important to show the same respect for others’ feelings that you expect others to show you. This will open your heart and your mind and things can only improve from there.

Youβre in for an unexpected surprise when a competitive sibling or a judgmental relative helps you out in a time of need. It’s enough to leave you standing there with mouth agape given the history of bad blood between you. Uranus, the planet of revolution and change, is famous for turning our judgments on their head and when it forms a sextile to the Sun (like it does on July 23d) it can reveal sides of people that we never dreamed existed. Not only will this get you to revisit assumptions that are outdated, it may also inspire you to be less disparaging in the future.
