A “cazimi” is when a planet forms an exact conjunction to the Sun in the sky. Instead of diminishing a planet’s power, a cazimi intensifies it so that the planet becomes positively resplendent. On January 6th, Venus, the planet of attraction, will form this aspect to the Sun. It’s a rare occurrence, but what makes it even rarer still is that Mars, the planet of gumption and drive – will also be cazimi on January 9th. This marks a conjunction of cazimis – arguably one of the most powerful combination of planetary energies in Astrology. Attractions will become irresistible and desires undeniable during this period of time and given that it’s in Capricorn, the effects won’t be fleeting. Usually this would signal a romantic rendezvous, but encounters often turn into one-upmanship as Venus and Mars struggle for control in the sign of the goat. This is bound to produce an embroiled situation that neither you nor the other person can quit. Loved ones and friends will say you should cut ties, but they don’t understand what’s at stake in this long game.
