Jupiter in Cancer is all about being the hearth and home that other people seek. You provide the roof over their head and the bed to call their own. You cradle and comfort when they feel hurt or afraid and you make them feel like they’re loved when they feel unloved. But for the past four months that Jupiter’s been retrograde – Jupiter turned retrograde on November 11th – you haven’t felt very reassuring or confident. Like a parent who’s been unable to help their child in their time of need, you lost faith in yourself and your abilities. You might have asked what kind of person am I when I can’t provide? Or why can’t I take away somebody else’s pain? Yet you stayed. And that’s what Jupiter retrograde is all about. It keeps on believing when there’s nothing to support that belief because it knows that at the end of the day it’s not about having the answers or making the bad things go away. It’s about holding someone’s hand in the dark and waiting with them for the light to emerge again – which it will now that Jupiter has resumed direction.
