Intro
—
Amanda: [00:00:00] We are in for a treat today. We have a very special guest with us. His name is Mark Laurenson, and he has very quickly become a beloved favorite for our Inner Circle membership, but also for the Astrology hub community because of his soul focused astrology. Mark has been in our community for a couple of years now, but he has been teaching and practicing astrology for over 30 years, and he started the sydney Astrology School in 2007. So he has been teaching astrology for a very long time
and we're so lucky
to have him here. We're gonna be continuing our conversation around 2026 tomorrow, we have our free 2026. Forecast panel event, It is featuring seven astrologers. Mark is
one of them. But as
we have these discussions at the free forecast event, we won't be able to drill into really specific detail because we only have so much [00:01:00] time. And that's why this series that where we're talking to the astrologers individually, we can go even deeper.
So we're gonna start with what I'm considering, the new buzzword. Of 2026, the new astrological buzzword, and that is midpoint. Midpoint is not something that we've been talking about a whole lot in the last few years, but it seems to be extraordinarily important this year. So Mark talked to us about the mid points and why this is so important and how it's going to impact our experience this year.
Marc: Well, first of all, thank you so much for having me back, Amanda.
I love being
part of
Astrology Hub. I feel very at home here. As I said, I feel that your. The way you deal with astrology and see astrology
and the way I
do my best with being able to interpret astrology, we run in alignment with each other.
So I feel really, really,
really good to be here.
Okay? so [00:02:00] 2026. I. Wow. Okay.
Outer Planet Epiphanies
—
Marc: So you've heard a lot of astrologers already talking about it being the year, you know, because of a lot of planets all changing sign all at once and they're making aspects with
each other.
But I'm gonna open by
actually saying
that this
year
could actually be one of the best years in certain people's lives.
If you wanna
have a word, if you
want to have one word that sums up this year for me, and that's an epiphany.
An epiphany is like a waking up.
It's like a waking up from a dream,
so to speak,
and it's a feeling of coming into
a sense
of actually knowing who you
truly are.
Okay.
Now we all kind of, when I say we are living lies, I don't mean we're being deceitful, but I am saying that we've kind of blind ourselves or blinker ourselves from. From the life we're meant to live because, you know, we come here and then we get indoctrinated from the word [00:03:00] go. You know, we, we, we get told who
to be what kind of
job
to have and to follow the rules and regulations.
And a lot of the time we just fall, fall into, into, in, into suit.
You know, we just, we just go along this patterning in a way
Without
questioning anything.
And I
wanna say that
2026 could be a year for a lot of people where they
actually go,
oh my
God, I've been living a life that's not mine.
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: Hmm.
Marc: This is not my
life.
And I wanna say that every planet
we're gonna be talking about, particularly the big
three and the midpoint
picture,
are gonna be saying this, you know, with bells on and. This is so, so important for everybody to, to really understand that you might be having a, a life that feels okay, and
the
people in
your life might be, you know,
the people that you want
and you might be in a job that feels all right to you,
but.
Something about 2026
is [00:04:00] gonna
trigger something for you on
the level of coming down to the essence of who you are, basically,
why you incarnated in
the first
place. Okay?
And what I mean by this is when you
are looking at Neptune and Saturn. Zero degrees Aries. Okay? Zero degrees Aries is the starting point.
It's the beginning of the
zodiac,
and so there, it's the shot of the gun. It's the initiating point. And so there is something rebooting. We are
being taken down to factory settings
almost, and we
are starting all over again. Okay? So
when
you think of Neptune, Neptune is our essence.
Neptune doesn't know anything about the body.
It doesn't know anything about the material world. It doesn't know anything about form. It's the essence of who
we are.
It works through our dreams, our imagination, our intuition, and our
connection to life.
Okay, that's Neptune. [00:05:00] Satin, on
the other hand,
is the opposite, that satin is here on the planet.
Satin is mastery. Satin
is that feeling of you've come here in the land of limitation in a body and you have to deal with
a very, very concrete environment and you have to do the
best you can with it. And there's a sense of
responsibility that goes
with this.
So let's put these two together.
Spiritual responsibility or concreting
your essence.
Okay? And because.
We're talking about zero degrees
Aries. We
are talking
about the beginning of
the Zodiac,
and so
that Pisces time is over now
and we could have been living in
that dream. Neptune in Pisces could have been living in that dream
where we just
kind
of went
through the motions, kind of numbed ourselves to
things,
and now it's kind of like, hang on. It is wake
up time and it's,
and it's about
get getting going.
It's about moving, it's about doing [00:06:00] things.
And these planets are three planets that are in this midpoint picture, which I'll talk about in a set are all moving from y y science to yang signs. Okay? They're all moving from water and earth
and they're moving into fire
and air.
Okay? Fire and air is movement.
There's lots of movement in fire and air. Earth and water
are
much more internal.
They're much more
responsive. Okay? So everything is coming out now. Everything's
coming out into the open. Everything wants to free up.
Everything wants to
move
now.
And so I want to say 2026
for a lot of people is going to get people off the couch.
It's gonna get people thinking about
their lives, and it's
gonna get
people thinking,
am I really doing what
I've come onto the planet to do?
Because. That
Neptune feeling of coming into your, your
soul self, or your essence is speaking to you from the inside out.
So it [00:07:00] wants you to actually start
to get out into the world and live what's going on in the
inside
of you.
And
it wants you to concrete it, it wants you to put it into
some kind of form. It wants you to, to
create
a, a mountain to climb with this.
That's satin.
Okay. And so there's a feeling now of this particular energy
at the midpoint of two other planets
that have just changed sign as well. Well, Uranus is gonna be changing
sign at the end of April and then stays there until 2023.
Pluto's been in Aquarius for a little while now, just every a year now. But the mid, what a midpoint picture is, is that a a, a planet, the focal planet is in the middle. And the
two bookend planets. The two planets on either side of the focal planet, they have
to act as a support system. For
the midpoint planet.
For the midpoint planet to be elevated.
Now, a good way of being able to understand this, if you are in a sports game [00:08:00] and
you've won a match and there was one particular player that
did really, really well and they put that player
on their shoulders, you know, and they do the big trophy thing,
two
men.
Usually have the
player on their shoulders.
The two
men that are supporting the player on their shoulder are the bookend planets.
Okay? And the player on the shoulders, the
player on the
shoulders
with
the trophy is the focal planet in the middle. Okay?
So the two bookend planets
have to support the middle planet.
In
a midpoint picture.
Okay? Now, midpoints
don't have to
be an aspect with each other. You can get midpoint outside of aspects, but these ones actually are in aspects, you know, they're
making sex tiles. The middle
planet, which is Neptune and
satin for a short
period
of time is actually
in what's
called a sextile.
To Uranus and to Pluto,
and a sex is
a stimulating
aspect.
It's an aspect that gives you
a
little bit of a buzz or a little bit of a fear. It allows things to, to work in a very [00:09:00] positive
way, and it excites. It's got that exciting kind of feeling about it.
Uranus, as we all know, is a breakthrough
planet.
Uranus wants
to do what it wants to do,
it wants freedom, and it's not necessarily
gonna run by the rules.
It's gonna bust out and do its own thing. So that's
one of the planets
that are holding
up
Neptune and Saturn, particularly
Neptune. Okay. The other planet is Pluto.
As we know, Pluto is a deeply transformative planet, but it's
always about truth
and it's always about fearlessness.
The fearlessness of living life without feeling that anything outside of you has power
over you.
The
more you give power
to outside things, the more you give power to, to approval or money or success or anything outside of yourself that you are at the mercy of Pluto is gonna go right down there and go, what are you scared of?
It's [00:10:00] gonna bring it up and it's gonna show you
what it is. It's a little bit
like there's
no boogeyman
under
the bed, really
and truly.
So here we have Pluto, deeply transformative around truth and around who you truly are. To get an over any
fear that's holding you back,
ura that
is breaking
free and really doesn't
care.
Doesn't care what you think about,
it doesn't care how it's coming
across. It just
wants to live its life authentically and
truthfully,
these two planets are the ones that are holding up Neptune and Saturn, so Neptune and Saturn, which is kind of coming
into that feeling of as I said, spiritual.
I wanna
say that
it's not
necessarily responsibility, but
it is a
feeling of,
of coming into the
driver's seat of your
life on a
soul level.
And when I say a spiritual level, it doesn't have to be spiritual work. It
just has to be that part that makes your heart smile.
It has to be that part that makes
your insides [00:11:00] glow. And when your heart is smiling and when your inside is glowing, you are on track. You are on track with
what you need to do,
and I want to say that 2026 for a lot of us
could actually be a time where we finally come on track with why we are here based on those planets doing
their thing.
But as I
said, you are not
necessarily, it's
not necessarily gonna be a walk
in the
park.
It's not gonna be like, I'm gonna wake
up one morning and it's all gonna work out. It's kind of like Uhuh, you are gonna have to deal with
your stuff. You are gonna have to deal with
what's holding you back.
Neptune is about releasing, Neptune is about letting go.
You know, Neptune
is about that
feeling of, of
it's got a dissolving, dissipating feeling and
people go, oh, I
don't like
that, because they feel they're gonna lose
something. But I want to say what you are
losing is what's holding
you back.
What you are losing is what's making life difficult for
you.
What
you are [00:12:00] losing is what is in the way of you becoming the
person you wanna be.
That's what you'll
be losing. You're not gonna be losing anything else.
People go, oh, but my survival, you know, survival. That feeling of survival becomes really strong. What if I go for something that's gonna risk my survival? It's gonna risk my money, it's gonna risk people in my life
again, I wanna actually say
that if you
don't
do it. If you don't do something
about moving closer to what makes your heart smile, as I said, this particular lifetime, it's gonna actually feel like you are not surviving at all, if you know what I mean.
There's a feeling of
not, not
really living.
You
might be getting a
paycheck and your bank account might be looking
okay, but you are
not really living,
you're
not really surviving,
you
know?
You
are just keeping, basically you're
keeping your head above
water.
So the survival that you're looking for is that feeling
of just holding
[00:13:00] onto something, you know, keeping your head above water that way, and
that's what you think is important.
But you know, in
the
end, you are gonna actually
start to go Uhuh. That's not enough. That's not enough.
Amanda: It was, it was amazing. I mean, I have to say, you basically just summarized every takeaway
that I have included
in
my book
that will be out in, I don't know when, but soon. But essentially that,
That
Question of, of what am I actually here for? Like I'm doing all these things because that's what I thought I was supposed to
do. And everybody told
me that's what I'm supposed
to do, but like, is this
it for real?
Because it's kind of depressing, you know, if we're really just here to do the thing and then. Basically die and then hope that we go somewhere better.
You know? I don't think any of
us really came here for that. And, and so yes, the, but the
process of
getting in alignment and actually living from that place where you have [00:14:00] that sense of peace
and fulfillment
and joy
internally,
it does require all that shedding.
It does require, I mean, literally. Like deconstructing these identities that we've created for ourselves and that we think we are,
and that process,
in my experience is not super comfortable, but extraordinarily fruitful.
Speaker 2: like I mentioned in the beginning of this podcast episode, mark is going to be one of seven astrologers that we are gonna be featuring over two days. We are gonna be focusing on the astrology of 2026. If you are not yet registered, I highly recommend that you check it out. You go to astrology hub.com/ 2026, forecast to reserve your seat. If you look at the times and think, oh, shoot, I can't make those times register anyways, because
we will be sending the replay and one of the things that every single registrant for the free forecast panel is gonna get is a download that marks [00:15:00] out all of the important transits of the year. So you're gonna be able to, in one little sheet, look at all the important astrology of the year. And then at the event, or if you're listening to the recording, you'll be able to put your notes there and then transfer that to your calendar or whatever works for you.
Again, that's astrology hub.com/ 2026 forecast. We'll also drop that link in the show notes and now back to the episode.
Amanda: You said something in the beginning
too, mark, you said
some people. May have the best
year of
their
lives.
Why some people and why not all people?
And, and what, and is this this something in our charts, or is it more in the way that we approach the year?
Marc: Well, you know, every,
everybody's chart and everybody's life is subject to their
choices. It's always gonna be subject
to you. And there's a lot
of people who are gonna step up to the
plate and
actually go, I'm ready for this.
And
there's a lot of people who are actually gonna
go,
no, I
can [00:16:00] see it all there,
but no, I'm not gonna I'm not going there. I'm not gonna do it. And this
doesn't make people
good or
bad. It's not about, you know, judging
people, but it
is
about.
We're
still everything in everything in the chart, everything is in life is
subject to the choices that we make.
You could have actually gone, no, I'm not gonna do
Astrology Hub. I've changed my mind.
You know, you could have actually done that.
You could have actually gone, no, I'll try and make
my life something, you know, some in,
in another
way. But
your choice was to do astrology
help,
you know,
and to, to create this amazing, amazing place for people to learn. But you know, that was you that did
that.
You
know, the universe just didn't pop
astrology hub into your lounge room and said,
there you go, Amanda.
It's kind of
like, no, you've made that choice.
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: And
Amanda: there was a lot of pain before that
choice. I mean, and there were a lot of times where I kind of wished I could go back, but it was too, you know, [00:17:00] once you're, once you're on the path, it, it's, you don't really get to go back. There is no real going back. And at this point, of course, I would never want to, but there were the moments when it was really messy, really challenging, really hard, where it was
like,
Ooh, is this, is this, is this story gonna end well?
Marc: Yeah,
Amanda: couldn't see that in the moment,
Right?
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: Yeah.
Marc: And it has
it's, it's ended really well.
Amanda: It really well,
Marc: it's like, it's beautiful. And so
see
how you've,
you've kept the faith, you know, you've, you've trusted the process
Neptune: Trusting the Unseen
—
Marc: and
this is Neptune. Neptune is
always gonna be about that. In the end. Neptune is always gonna be about trusting the unseen. Don't get caught up in the results.
Don't get caught up in guarantees. Don't get caught up in it. Has
to look this this
way
because that's like barbed wire around the universe.
You know, when you are trying to micromanage the universe, the universe is going, I can't get in. Sorry, I can't help you
here
because you are [00:18:00] so invested on having it done the way you want
it done.
Neptune is about allow it, allow it to manifest, allow it to flow, allow everything, all the moving parts to come together beautifully
and easily. And if you get
out of the way, in other words, you
have a vision, you have your vision, you'll have, this is what I want my life to look like,
And then actually go, rather than actually saying, oh,
I've gotta
work hard at it,
which a lot of us do.
Come into a place now of this is what I'm meant to be doing.
This is why I'm here.
this is why I'm
here
and because I know, because why I'm here
makes me feel good. If it makes you feel good, that's why you
are here.
Okay, so I wanna say that the fact is that this.
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: this.
Marc: This feeling that I have is enough to trust and to allow it, allow it room to take shape
the
way
it needs to.
I'm still gonna put one foot in [00:19:00] front
of the other, you know what
I mean? I'm still gonna make phone calls. I'm
still gonna set my things up,
but I'm not really gonna get too caught up in. Micromanaging getting exactly the way I want it to, and I want it to look
like this at this
time, and I wanna make this
amount of money because all that
kind of stuff is really, really gonna get in the way of things.
And Neptune, for you this particular year. Being the midpoint between
two planets,
one
that is
radically trying, gonna try something completely new and completely different. And Pluto, which is actually looking at you in the face on the level of what are you scared of? Because you've gotta
get over that.
Those two planets now are actually boosting this beautiful, beautiful part of us that actually knows why we are here, knows
what we need to do, and we need to trust and relax into that. A lot of [00:20:00] people actually say,
oh, I don't know what that is. I have no idea.
And I want to say, yes, you do.
You know
exactly what
it is,
but you are just too scared to follow it.
You're too scared to follow it. You know what it is. You know what makes your heart sing. You know, what makes
you smile. You
know what puts, you know, makes your life feel
right. You are just
a little bit.
A little bit too scared to, to take a chance or follow
a
color outside the lines or,
or do something that, you know,
basically you've been programmed not
to do.
You know? So this year is gonna be big on that level. It's gonna be big on you,
kind of
turning everything around, turning your life on its head, basically,
and start creating a life. Very differently to
the to the one you've got, but closer, much, much closer to something that's really, really gonna make you feel happy and joyful and satisfied.
Yeah.
Amanda: Mark, would you say? So I, I'm [00:21:00] thinking of myself back in New York
City, dreaming of a different
life than the one that I had built. And I, I certainly didn't have the details at all. Like I would've never imagined astrology hub it was so outside the realm of my perspective. but what I could feel was the essence of what I wanted to. Be of benefit to people. I wanted my unique gifts and skills to actually be put to use in a way that I felt passionate about it. I knew it was beneficial. I knew it was helping people and, and I was able to create a sustainable life
for myself around
it.
Like
all of that was clear.
I wanted to
love it, and
that was clear. But I had no idea what it was. I really didn't, and I, I really couldn't have even imagined
it. So I just wanna say
that to anyone out there who's like, I don't know the
specifics. And,
and also the technology didn't even exist
for it. To come into form
the way that it has.
So there's so much [00:22:00] still revealing itself in terms of the how. I think that's for sure. In terms of the, how you would ever deliver the thing that you wanna do, that you feel like you have to give. But also some of the details may not be clear, but it's the essence. It's the quality. Like Mark was talking in the beginning, that our essence, you can feel your essence, right?
You can
feel Mark's
essence. You can feel my essence. If you tune in, you can feel your essence. The essence of the thing
that you're here to do
is something you can tune into,
and
that can be the guiding light throughout the time to really start to get
specific and start to
get granular and start to do the
Saturn thing where
it becomes inform.
Marc: Yeah, totally,
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: totally.
Marc: totally.
Amanda: So I have a question for you and is now back on this midpoint is the buzzword
of 2026.
I mean, astrological, I know most people are talking about it. I, and we're gonna be doing a class on midpoint, actually later this year with Rick Levine. But in the
meantime, How does
this work?
So
when you said Neptune is at the front and [00:23:00] he and Neptune's being held up, and we have Pluto and Uranus here, and, and Neptune is on.
Neptune and Saturn for a moment are on Uranus and Pluto's shoulders. I love this visual and, and I would recommend all of you
draw
it. Like if you have a piece of paper, draw that. Put Neptune and Saturn at the top. Put Uranus over here, put Pluto over here, and then just feel
into that like feel into, you know, but it's a midpoint.
So first of all, explain what that is first, second. Is that active all year? Are there points where it's more active than not? Like how does it work technically?
Midpoints
—
Marc: Well in a midpoint, in in the sky, like what we're
experiencing this
year, it's gonna last as long.
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: as long
Marc: as those three planets
stay within a couple of degrees
of each other. That's how long it will last. So as soon as
they move out of those couple of degrees of each other, they're outside the midpoint.
Amanda: Well, you don't mean, you don't mean outside of each other, like as a conjunction, right? You mean outside of each other in terms of the sex tile
that they're [00:24:00]
Marc: The sex tiles. Yeah. And they're gonna be
in sextile
with each other. Neptune Saturn will move on because Saturn's only gonna be in that midpoint pizza
from FE in February,
from the middle of February until early March.
Okay.
Saturn will
move on, but Neptune and Uranus and Pluto. We'll be in that midpoint picture for the best part of a couple of
years.
You know, 'cause they, they all move very, very slowly.
So we are gonna
get a the full brunt of it
this year in 2026, but it's still gonna go into 2027 as well.
And so we have
midpoint in our natal charts as well. We
are
looking at planets in our natal charts, and as I said, they don't have to be an aspect.
A midpoint is just the, the, a mathematical
degree, equal degree between two planets.
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: planets.
Marc: So midpoint between
your moon and your Mars, you just
find the mathematical degree software does
this, and
that's a dietal degree.
That's equidistant from
both is the
midpoint. And you're gonna have
[00:25:00] what's called a direct midpoint. An indirect midpoint, which is just, just a degree. It might be 14 Capricorn
or 22 Aries or nine cancer,
just
a degree.
But a
direct
midpoint is when you
have a planet there. When you have a planet on the midpoint and that planet becomes the focal planet, and that planet now becomes elevated
or
helped out to,
to work at its best by
the other two planets
that are working as a kind of
like a team.
Another visual is, you know, if you wanted to get somebody over a fence. Two people, it'd be good
to have two people to
lift that person so that
person can get over the fence.
So the two people who are lifting are the bookend planets and getting
over the fence is the midpoint planet.
And
so Whatever the
midpoint planet is, and in this case it's gonna be
Neptune.
Neptune
has to,
and you said something really, really wonderful, Amanda, and I wanna bring [00:26:00] this
in.
Is the, is Neptune is
always,
is always trying to
understand. A feeling of bringing everything together.
'cause Neptune only knows the oneness of of life.
Knows. The oneness of the universe.
Knows the oneness of all of us.
And you said
I
wanted to do something to help people.
And I wanna say that we are so caught up in our lives
at
the moment.
We're so caught
up
in making sure that we're okay and everything's happening for us. And you know, it's all very
focused on us. Neptune is actually saying
you've gotta actually start to. Recognize your life outside of your immediate needs. You've gotta actually
see people
outside of you and be
able to
be a conduit of some kind of love and help and assistance and caring for other
people as well.
Saturn-Neptune Conjunctions
—
Marc: Can I give you
a very, very brief example of what happened to me the last time these two
came together?
the last time these two came? They come together every [00:27:00] 36 years. Okay. The last time they came together was in
1989,
Amanda: they, you're
talking about Saturn and
Neptune?
Marc: Saturn Neptune, yeah. Saturn and Neptune come together every
36 years.
They have a stenotic cycle
36 years. Okay.
And so, it was
happening at my satin return at
the same time,
so that gets thrown
in too. But Neptune and Satin came together at between 10 degrees and 12 degrees of Capricorn in 1989.
And they squared my moon
and my satin squares my moon
as well. My mum passed
around that time and my younger brother and sister, there's quite a big gap in age between us.
My
younger brother and sister were still going through high school.
I was a
young actor at
the time. In my twenties I was acting and living a very self concerned, very self-involved kind of life. Just
me,
me, me, me, me,
me, me. And then this
particular transit happened to
me
and
my
younger brother and
sister.
Didn't have, my
stepfather had left. He'd gone. He was an [00:28:00] alcoholic.
He couldn't
look after, so my
younger brother and sister didn't have anyone to look after them to get them through school.
I put my hand up and I said,
I'll do it.
So I moved into the family
home, put my acting
on
the
back burner, still doing a little bit, but not
much
to
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: to
Marc: live with them
and get them through school.
And
what I got
from that
was. This was a time I really threw myself into
astrology big time as well, because my son is opposite my moon. And so
my
son's in the ninth.
So for me, this was huge on the level of me coming into a place of seeing my life
beyond myself,
seeing my life more
than just me.
My moon's in the third.
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: The
Marc: Third house is
siblings. You can't make
this stuff up,
can you?
I mean,
really and truly,
you
know? Hello?
Amanda: how literal it
Marc: A moon in the third house, so.
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: so yes.
Marc: So
I moved
in, looked after them,
did
my best with caring for [00:29:00] them, getting them through
school, still doing my own thing. But that sat Neptune
for me was that feeling
of
you are more, you, you, you, you need to venture.
You need to venture into who you really are.
And who you really are is much more loving, much more caring, much more
empathic, much more compassionate than the
person you are being right now. The person you are being
right now is also
self concerned and all very much about what part am I getting next?
And the universe was saying this more to you than that. And so. I went through that period of time
where I had to give
of myself,
but at the same time,
it didn't feel like I was giving. It felt very much like I was
learning so much about me. I went to another level of my spiritual understanding about my life and myself
and my astrology
became a big part of
my
life.
I started doing readings around this time
as well,
so
that's the last time that happened, and [00:30:00] so.
Feels, it feels
that there was something in everybody's life at the moment that
they feel in
a way
I
have to,
in some way, shape, or form. It doesn't have
to be full on. It doesn't have
to be, you know, it doesn't have to take over, but it has to feel a little bit like what I'm doing and where I want to go is gonna rub off on the planet in
a very, very positive way.
Other people are gonna benefit from what I love to do. As much as I'm
enjoying doing it. Okay.
so very much what you said, Amanda.
Amanda: I wanted to go back to something you said because you said, we'll know we're doing what we came here to do because it will feel good. And I wanted to see if you would differentiate between feeling
good.
and necessarily feeling pleasant or comfortable because I, my guess is when that happened, it felt good to step up for your [00:31:00] siblings.
But it probably also felt kind of bad and scary and, and kind of like you were losing in the moment because you were
having to let go of this thing that you
were obviously working toward.
So,
but, but like, deep down it felt good. Like deep down it felt right. And it felt like you knew this was
the
right thing to do, even though it might've been uncomfortable to go back into your parents' house
and become a dad when you're 20 years old to your, you know, all those things.
So maybe it, it's, it's not necessarily pleasant or comfortable, but there is that deep sense of peace that you're on the right track. Would you say that that's true and that we can
Marc: That's
Amanda: that as a barometer?
Resentment & Purpose
—
Marc: that's exactly how it was
because. There was a lot of times I went through resentment. There's a
lot of times going, why am I,
why, why am I doing this?
I, I kind of
went through the, why did I put my hand up, you know, because it was, it was challenging. They were teenagers. I had a brother and a sister.
My sister was
the youngest.
She was the only girl in a [00:32:00] family of five boys.
And you know, teenage girls. Hello.
Amanda: well, and plus she just lost her
mom.
Marc: Exactly.
Amanda: now they're grieving as well. I mean, yeah, That's a big deal.
Marc: Totally. So it,
it had, its,
it's had
its difficult moments. It really,
really did. But
there was something, there was something in me, there was something inside
of me that was speaking to me on the level of, of do you realize,
do you realize
the.
The amount of fresh water, you know, the cup, the amount of fresh water you are putting into a muddy lake, do you, do
you realize that
how much
you are
improving
the planet just
by this small kind of gesture of helping
somebody else?
Do you realize how important that is? That's
what kept on speaking to me, how, how important it was. Even though on the grand scheme of things, it felt like a relatively small thing to do. [00:33:00] But as far as I was getting, I was getting that this was major stuff for me.
I.
I don't wanna say comically, but there is
karma involved in that.
For me,
There really is
because if you look at my nodes and I'm doing the node, I'm doing a
node class for Astrology Hub in February, which I can't wait for,
but my nodes are very, are very much caught up in
having to. Having to think of others,
you know, and
having to do more for others. And so doing what I'm doing now and
you doing your stuff, you know, this is, this is perfect.
This is perfect for us.
So
even though I might have resented it in a way, there was something that overrode, that resentment, that feeling, or
that beautiful feeling. I was doing the right
thing for all the right reasons. Yeah. Yeah.
Amanda: So it doesn't have to
be grandiose.
It doesn't have to be public. It doesn't have to be something that everybody is
recognizing.
But you'll know, you'll [00:34:00] know that
you're on the right
track and you'll know you're
doing the the
thing. And I love, I love this question. What is mine to give? What, what is unique about me that I can give and, and that could be something in a moment, like you said, you, what was unique and yours to give in that moment was to step up and be a parental figure
for your,
nobody else could have done it the way you would do it, right?
Nobody else could have done it for them at that moment. So that was yours to give. Now what's yours to give looks different, but having that as a guiding question can be so helpful.
Early Degree Activations
—
Amanda: Mark. It's the third house thing for you in that story, siblings is, is very illuminating. And would you say that people can look to their own charts in terms of 2026 and where they might be asked to step up in a new way?
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: Mm-hmm.
Amanda: looking at where Saturn and Neptune are
Conjoining? Are they looking
at Uranus and Pluto in their charts? How do [00:35:00] they start to.
Decode that for themselves.
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: Well, planet
Marc: planets that are
in, in your natal chart that are in very early degrees of signs,
you know, the first handful of degrees
of signs are gonna get hit. They're gonna get hit by
one of those planets.
So if you've got the early
degrees
of cardinal signs. Gonna get hit
by Neptune and satin. Okay.
Early degrees of fixed signs are
gonna
get hit by Pluto and early degrees of the mutable
signs
are gonna get hit, hit by
Uranus
and not just not just planets. You can talk about your ascendant midheaven. You can talk about your angles as well. So. Those particular areas, anything in early degrees of, of signs and angles of early degrees, they're the ones that are
going to really get spoken to
loudly.
They're
the ones that,
that you're gonna really, if most of your planets are at the end of science, you don't have much in early degrees.
Most of
the planets at the end of
science,
I'm gonna say,
you're
not necessarily gonna [00:36:00] side swipe these.
You're not gonna necessarily duck them,
but maybe, maybe
they might not be as,
As full on
as people who are going to
experience them, you know, on a planet
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: or aspecting
Marc: or aspecting a planet. But then, you know, if you wanna go into
asteroids I know Gary's into the fixed stars,
you know?
He'd probably throw
a few fixed
stars in there, you know, all that
kind of stuff. It's gonna, I'm sure that there's gonna be an
asteroid or a fixed
star or a Black Moon Lilith or
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: or
Marc: something that's gonna get hit, or
even a midpoint.
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: You know, it
Marc: might land on a midpoint of yours.
you know, in your
Amanda: chart. we look at our chart, we look
at the degrees of our planetary placements, ascendant angles, and we can bring in some of the
fixed stars or
out asteroids things. And we're looking for anything from zero to what degrees,
Marc: I'd say zero
to five.
Amanda: zero to five degrees.
[00:37:00] And If you,
if those are the ones that are gonna be getting pinged
by all of this activity. Okay. That's
really
helpful.

Nodes Change Signs
—
Amanda: And, and you just brought up the lunar nodes. And when you're an inner circle astrologer for the Pisces Lu [00:38:00] Nation, you're gonna be doing a masterclass on lunar nodes. So inner circle members, we have that to look forward
to.
I also know
there's
something
important about
the lunar nodes that you wanted to talk about in general for 2026.
So can we go to
that
next?
Marc: Sure, because they're changing sign. They're
gonna
be changing sign in August of this
year. So,
And the interesting thing is Jupiter is changing sign into the sign of the south node.
So the nodes travel backwards. They go round the chart backwards. They take 18.6 years
to do a full cycle,
So they
stay about a year and a half in every sign.
So you get a year and a
half's worth.
of the south node in every sign, the north node in every sign. Of course, they're opposite. They dance in opposition to each other.
So they're in Virgo at the moment
and have been
the south nodes in Virgo and the North
nodes in PIs. So I see the south node.
Transiting,
the transiting south node [00:39:00] acts very, very differently to the nodes in our chart, in our natal chart.
The nodes
in our natal chart are very much part of our soul story, and I'll go into that in the masterclass. But the transiting nodes are like, you
know, those electric
pool
cleaners,
you know, when you put into the pool and they go around the pool and they suck up all the, the leaves and all the debris in
the pool. That's the transiting self node.
The transiting self node is like an electric pool cleaner.
It's sucking up all the, the old stuff.
It's sucking up the stuff that's not working anymore.
It's sucking up the use, useless stuff, you know, rubbish,
in other words.
And so as it's transiting through Virgo, it's sucking up all your Virgo
rubbish.
And your Virgo rubbish is always gonna be around
stress.
It's always gonna be around. I've gotta work harder, I've gotta do more. I'm stressed, I'm anxious. So it's sucking
up all areas to do with that.
It's because the [00:40:00] north node is in Pisces and the north node is saying, chill out,
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: calm
Marc: down,
breathe, relax.
So the north node is
like a, it's like a, it's like a,
a search light.
You know how
when boats go out in the dark and
they've got their big light and they're going, that's a north
node. The north node is searching for the light, it's searching for the light. It wants to light something up, it wants to give
you a new version.
And
so
the south node is sucking up all the
old stuff, and now it's gonna be moving
from Virgo
to Leo.
Okay.
In August, we're gonna go through a, a change on the level
of
kind of being maybe on
ourselves, kind of
monitoring ourselves, micromanaging ourselves, and being
on our own case.
And then
we're gonna shift into the sign before,
because normally we, we travel the sign after, but it's gonna shift into
the sign [00:41:00] before,
so it's gonna do the pool cleaning on Leo.
It's gonna start sucking up
all areas where you could have been
almost the opposite to Virgo,
where Virgo is
very down on itself. I should be
better. I should be more. Leo has got this sense of entitle,
you know, when,
when it's not played well, it's a sense of entitlement, it's a sense of
superiority.
It's that sense of of
I'm better than you.
I deserve more than you.
And. I'm up here and you are down there, you know, so it's looking at all areas where we look down on people, where
we
might actually put ourselves on the throne
and make other people feel small.
It's gonna be looking at all
areas
where we think we deserve more.
You know,
because Aquarius is actually going, are you kidding
me?
Aquarius is actually going, don't you realize we're
all the same? We're all [00:42:00] one. We're all different. We're all unusual and we're all beautiful and blessed
because of who we are. Nobody is better than anybody else. Just because one person looks like this and one person
studies this
and one person worships
this, it makes
absolutely no difference.
We're all
the same. You know, we all
come from
the, you
know, we're all cut from the same cloth in the end, and
Leo
is that part of us that kind of
goes, well,
I look down on that kind of person, or, you know, I'm better
than that kind of person.
So you
might not think that.
It's funny how a
lot of people go, oh no, I'm I, I'm open to
everybody
and everything, but
there is a
part
in a lot of our natures. That actually go, oh no, I wouldn't do that
kind of job. That's for those people, you know,
Those people do that kind of job.
I wouldn't do that kind of job. You know, it's
that kind of
feeling
of
why wouldn't you do that kind of [00:43:00] job? Why do you think it's good for that person and not good for you?
You know?
It's that kind of sense of that
leonis Leo also goes down the road of it's a needy sign. When it's
not played well, it's a needy sign. See me, see me, recognize me. Here I am.
Notice me. I'm important and it's needy. It drags people in. It's kind of like that feeling of I need attention. And so the pool cleaner is actually going around cleaning up all areas where you have this insatiable need
to be
noticed.
Insatiable need
to be
seen.
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: Mm.
Marc: And it's dealing with that feeling of you don't have to, you don't have to be
approved of,
you don't have to be special
in other person's eyes. Aquarius is saying, just be you. Just
be 100% you. And if, if you are not [00:44:00] somebody's cup of tea, that's fine. That's a hundred percent fine.
Maybe you guys are not supposed to be together. You just have to be yourself, and that's when you start to collect the, the
people in your life who are right for you. Again, that, that
need,
I need to be, I
need people to approve of me. I
need people to love me. I need people to want to, to want me or see me.
The pool cleaner is
going to be
going around that part of your chart
for the next
year and a half,
and it's gonna be moving into that
particular
area, so.
It'll bring
up a lot of stuff. And Leo, when it works well, is
arguably
the most generous sign
of the Zodiac.
It truly is. When it works well, it's the, it's beautiful.
I,
I've got Leo friends who are
playing their Leo so, so beautifully. They're so generous. They give life. They walk into a room and they shine. They lift the
room up.
That feeling of being able to
be the
[00:45:00] sun. In your life and in other people's lives, you know that feeling of celebrating
yourself
and celebrating other people, Leo, when it works well, celebrates the personality in
another person, you know,
celebrates your personality.
You know,
I love that about Leo. When it works well,
it's a
happy sign. It's a, you know, it's a.
It's a sign that that gives of
it,
of,
of itself, you know,
just by being
itself.
And I want to actually say that that would be a
really, really
good way of cleaning up any of the old Leo and
starting the, the fresh pool of Leo with that kind
of energy.
Okay, so
let me just ask a clarifying question. When you're talking about the pool cleaner sucking up
the aspects of
the sign that it's
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: sign that it's in.
Amanda: in. You're mainly talking about the shadow aspects of that zodiac archetype. [00:46:00] Right. So, so we looked at Virgo first
'cause that's
where we've been and that was focused on stress.
Like where are we, you know, all anxious and
stressed out
and, and, and so that's what where the pool cleaner has been doing its work. The pool cleaner will then do its work starting in August for a year and a half. In the sign of Leo, and then the, the, the search light is gonna
be an Aquarius.
So we're gonna
be searching for ways that we can be our individual self, but not
for the
sake of just being that more for the sake of what can we give to our community and, and how can we, you know, make the world a better place like
we were
talking about before.
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: Yeah.
Amanda: So,
but what you're saying is that. The Leo aspects that are kind of in the shadow, or like you say, not as well played are the real egocentric. Look at me and I'm entitled, and I'm above these things. So what I'm hearing you say is [00:47:00] that we can be on the lookout for those aspects of ourselves that are active in any way, and that focusing on generosity.
In terms of
what can I give? Like, this has been a theme of this whole
podcast. Will
also help us not fall into the, the, the pool cleaner that's sucking those things. Right. I used to have, we, we had one of those, so I can see it so clearly in my mind, this little pool cleaner thing that would go around. I
I used
to love watching it.
So the, you know, be focusing on the, the more elevated aspects of a
Leo archetype. Will help us
to not fall
so
hard into those less mature aspects of a Leo archetype.
Marc: Totally. Totally. Yeah. And it's gonna be going
through the part of your, your, your own chart where Leo and Aquarius are.
It's gonna go be going through those houses. And it's gonna
hit planets along the way. So if you've got planets in Leo and Aquarius [00:48:00] or in other areas, that's gonna be making aspects.
Then it's gonna be bringing
up the those areas as
well. It's gonna be built
more specific. It's gonna be more specific with that.
See, the south node in
is always needing to be replanted. It's
always needed
to be done in a different way, in a new way
with the help of the north node, okay? And so.
as
the, as the,
as the, south node goes right around the chart, as I said, it takes 18.6 years to do that.
You
have
a taste. Of cleaning up every area of your chart
with the old stuff that you played out,
You know, it was stuff that
you played out before.
You know, in, probably in this lifetime, in, in this case, you
know that you've,
you know,
a pool collects.
You know, leaves, it collects all that kind
of thing.
it's a,
it's a, it's a cleaning
up act and the North note is always saying, wouldn't it be
good if you headed [00:49:00] in this direction,
in a
brand new way?
Do this, you know, actually do it. Do
it for
bringing it
in, bringing it in in a way where you are going to integrate it somehow.
And then
it's almost like transferring that back to the self node.
It's
a little bit like.
coming into, coming into Aquarius. You know, that feeling of.
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: of we
Marc: can all be individual, we can all be
different. We can all team together. We
can be,
you
know, a spoke in the, we can all be
spoke in the wheel for the sake of the wheel. You know, we can all, you know, pull our minds and we can all really benefit from what that has to
offer. Leo now actually goes.
No, it's not about me. It's not really about me and my needs and my need to be superior and my need to be seen and my need. It's not
about me.
It's about me being
able to use my personality and my creativity, and my light
and my shine [00:50:00] for the good of everything and
everyone. You know, my personality and the way I use my personality is allowing other people to be happy, and it's not about
me. I'm not going, oh, look at me, look at me, look at me. I'm doing it because I want you to feel the, to feel the joy and the, and the, the light that I'm emanating. I want you to feel that.
I want you to get that
So
Amanda: Oh, okay.
Marc: a.
GMT20260105-230525_Recording_avo_1280x720: That's,
Amanda: I mean, between the two things that you've covered, I mean, I'm, I'm putting the first thing in a broad category of the mid points and then the lunar nodes. It's like we have marching orders for
the entire
next two years. Like if, if we were to just focus on those things, it seems like only good things could come of it.
And it, like you said, it might not be, it might not be pleasant all the time. But the, but the fruits of it will [00:51:00] be bountiful.
Marc: Yeah.
Amanda: Yes. Okay.
Marc: for sure. For
Amanda: Mark, I am so happy you're gonna be
with us. For the forecast panel, so any of you who have not yet registered, please sign up. We will only send the replay to those of you who have signed up for this event.
It is totally free. Mark will be joined by six other incredible. Astrologers. We're gonna have the astrologers talking with each other about the significance of these transits, the significance of this year, and how each
of you can
really take this information and use it.
To, like Mark said in the very beginning, to have this be one of your best years ever.
And so this is
really an opportunity. I hope that you'll be there. And then Mark is gonna be with us in the inner circle, like I said, in for the Pisces Loo Nation. So more opportunities to continue learning from Mark.
And
Mark. You're just so
amazing. I love all the visuals. I mean, you gave some visuals today [00:52:00] that I don't, I don't think I'll ever forget. They're
so good and
so clear. Oh, and I just wanted to say, if you're listening and January 20th and January 21st have already happened, you can still get access to the replay of the forecast event through the end of the month.
So you can still go to astrology hub.com/ 2026, forecast sign up, we'll send you the replay, and you'll have free access to that. If you end up joining the Inner Circle, you will get lifetime access to the recording. But if you want to have free access to it, you need to do that. Before January 31st, 2026.
All right, so Mark, anything that you wanna leave us with?
Final Thoughts
—
Marc: Basically I would like everybody to start making inroads into
following, following a part of,
of them, like a
following their
vision, following a part of them that they've always
dreamed of or always imagined in some kind
of way.
Don't care
what
people are gonna say about it, [00:53:00] because if you put it out there, people are gonna go, oh, that's a bad idea, or what.
Don't even put it out there. You know,
don't allow it
to be contaminated
by another
person's opinions.
Come into a place where it feels really, really good for you.
And I wanna say, follow it knowing that this is meant for you. This is not, you know what I
mean?
This is not something out there that it's kind of like, oh, I'd like to have it.
And it's out there. It's kind of like, no, it's not out there. It's you. It's meant for you. This is a big, big part of what you've come onto the planet to be and to do. So it's not really out there. It's in here, and
you now just have to basically, you know, move in that direction and, and, and,
trust
it. And it feels good.
It feels good
when you're doing it. Yeah. So that's basically what I'd like
to, to
leave everyone.
Amanda: I love it.
Outro
—
Amanda: Thank you so
much, mark.
I can't wait to talk to you more and to continue to dive into [00:54:00] all these energies and what they mean. And I'm telling you guys, if you
just take a few
things of what Mark said today, these can be your anchor points throughout the year to really focus on. And if we're all doing that.
Wow. I mean, this is an opportunity to really create beautiful things in the world that benefit the entire planet. So just do it. As you were speaking, I was like, I was hearing the Nike thing. Just do it. Just do it. This is the time, and we haven't been saying that every year. For sure.
There have
been many years where it's like, well,
we're still incubating, we're
still getting clear.
We're still catching the vision, we're still working things out. This,
this year feels different and the astrologers
are really beating on
this drum. So thank you
for being
curious. Thank you for seeking Thank. Thank you
for asking
the questions and for being open to listen to the conversations that we have here on this.
Platform, and I cannot wait to continue the conversation All throughout this year, we're gonna be here. We're gonna be here for you, [00:55:00] and we're so grateful to have that opportunity. All right, everybody,
mark. thank you. We'll see you
Marc: Thank you, Amanda. Thank you
so much for
having me.
Amanda: All right, and we'll catch you on the next episode. Take care everybody.
