Hello, my name is Christopher Renstrom And I'm your weekly horoscope columnist here on astrology hub. And this week I wanted to talk to you about Mercury is trying to Pluto on June 10. Now this particular trine between Mercury and Pluto, Mercury is in the zodiac sign of Taurus and Pluto is in the zodiac sign of Capricorn. This is the last time that mercury will be forming this particular trine to Pluto in Capricorn for another, I don't know 240 s years or something like that. So this is all kinds of exciting. Whenever we hear about these final aspects that are taking place between planets and particular signs, it puts one in mind of sort of expecting magnificent and wondrous things, something like maybe the appearance of a UFO or, or, or the parting of a Red Sea. Well, that's not exactly going to happen whenever you're dealing with the planet Mercury. Mercury, as we know is the planet named after the god Mercury which was the god of communication. So Mercury is the planet of communications and messaging. It's the planet have Instagram and tweets and Tik Tok and, and Facebook and however one communicates to one these days but but it's also a transactional planet. It's a planet that rules over buying and selling and deals that are made or deals that are undone. Mercury, I like to refer to in astrology as the god of small things. Now there are gods of large and tremendous things. We have Gods of storms, Gods of cataclysms, Gods of love gods of war. Mercury. Mercury, on the other hand, is what I call it the God of small things. That's because Mercury is the planet that rules over trivial concerns, incidental facts, and technicalities that often go overlooked little things, mundane things, things that are part of our everyday life that we really don't give much regard to. Unless, of course, all of a sudden we run afoul of them. For instance, the toaster stops working. There's a problem with the car, or the computer, the computer malfunctions. All of those things that I just listed are things that often take place during Mercury Retrogrades. Okay, so we have this idea of mercury ruling over the smooth transaction of our day to day lives and day to day things. And that during the time when Mercury's retrograde this is when things go haywire, or no longer work, according to plan. All right. So this is pretty much the way that we think of mercury and or a Mercury retrograde. But I want you to sort of think of mercury a little differently, this time with its final trine that it's making, from the zodiac sign of Taurus to Pluto in the zodiac sign of Capricorn. What's
with the retrograde with a retrograde when the planet appears to move backwards in the sky, we expect the planet to act in complete opposite to the way that it normally behaves. And and so we wait until the planet turns direct again, and we say oh, yeah, you know, we're on the other side of this particular retrograde. But one of the things that's really intriguing about what happens with Mercury Retrograde is that period of time after Mercury turns direct after Mercury comes out of retrograde. Now, as you may know, Mercury came out of retrograde on June 3, so that was just really quite quite recently. But what's going to happen now that mercury is moving forward in the sky again, is that it's going to go over the same points that it went over when it was moving backwards in the sky. Okay. And what's really fascinating about this is that when Mercury was moving direct a few weeks ago, it trines Pluto okay and it entered Gemini, then Mercury turned retrograde in Gemini and it went backwards it reentered the zodiac sign of Taurus, where it trying to Pluto for a second time. Mercury is now on June 3 Mercury came out of retrograde so it's moving into Last degrees of Taurus again. And of course on June 10, as I mentioned before, it is going to try and Pluto for the third and final time. You know that phrase, Third time's the charm. I wonder if the person who made that up was familiar with mercury Retrogrades. And the fact that it when when it forms, particularly aspects to planets going in and out of retrograde that it will form that aspect three times. So you sort of get three chances, three strikes, or third time's the charm. So this is what I want you to think of this idea of Third time's the charm. As Mercury forms its final, retrograde. Its final trying to Pluto following its retrograde and also its final trying to Pluto and Capricorn. From the zodiac sign of Taurus period. What I want you to keep in mind is that Mercury is the planet of locks and keys. Mercury is the planet of riddles and clues. Mercury is the planet responsible for getting you from here to there. This is Mercury's job in astrology. If you see a whole bunch of like dots on a piece of paper, it's mercury that connects the dots. If you're looking at a map, it's Mercury that's able to recognize the landmarks and figure out the route. Okay, so this idea of routing, you know, like rerouting yourself, or mapping out something, or connecting the dots. This is all part of what Mercury does. And as I said, I said Mercury is the planet of small things, those trivial concerns, those incidental facts, those overlooked technicalities that you didn't think mattered the first time around. Well, as you can imagine, they're going to matter now. And, and mercury, it's always the small things that that that become active or influential, the small changes the small adjustments that count. So I want to sort of get you into the headspace of small, okay, but not small, like trivial or small as in simple or small as I'm so wide. Okay, but small in terms of like, a cumulative effect. Like for instance, you can have a boulder that's on the side of of a mountain. And that boulder has been on the side of the mountain for, let's say, decades, maybe tourists have pointed to it and said, Look there, there's a boulder on the side of the mountain. And over decades or a period of time, you know, little pebbles have dropped and sort of like ricocheted off this boulder or sort of like a masked behind this boulder or collected or just just maybe even missed the boulder altogether in their tumble down the side of the mountain. But let's say there's a particular day, in which there is one particular pebble, which happens to like add its weight to the boulder. And it's that one particular day. And it's that one particular pebble that adds its weight to the boulder that sends the boulder careening down the hill, not only not only does it send the boulder careening down the hill, it might instigate an entire avalanche. Alright, so this is the idea that big things can result from small incidents. And it's it's one idea that I want you to keep in mind when when we think about this Mercury trine Pluto this week. Small things can also be decisive. Okay, let's say, well, we've seen it when we just watched the Olympics with figure skating and skiing and all sorts of these things. You can have opponents who are neck and neck on something, you know, very close in terms of their points and their accomplishments. But it may very well be the fraction of the point more that's going to decide the victory that's going to decide whether someone is in second place or triumphant. Or it may even decide whether someone's going to be in the winner's circle at all. So it's these small things that are going to have a decisive impact. And this is what I want you to think of with this mercury Pluto trine. Now mercury in Taurus has tried Pluto in Capricorn since the year you know, at least once a year, but since 2009, and in some years it was even you know, instead of once a year, maybe even three times a year because it was retrograding. But what this can mean is that maybe there's something that you've tried to accomplish. Maybe there's something that You let's use a Mercury idea. Maybe there's something you applied for, maybe there's something that you pitched, maybe there's something that you put yourself in the running for or you applied for a loan.
In that kind of regard, you might have submitted a request. Or maybe you even sent a book off to a publisher. And maybe you've done this, I don't know, maybe you've done this since 2009. And it's always met with disapproval, or closed door, or no access or something along those lines. And so maybe you gave up, you know, a lot of times, it makes perfect sense. Like, if it doesn't work, or whatever, you just move on to something. But I'm talking to those of you who haven't, I'm talking to those of you who haven't given up. I mean, you might have felt like a failure, you might have felt despondent, you might have been like, oh, you know, why do you might have been wondering, Why do I keep returning this over? And over again, why do I keep amassing these rejection letters? Why do I keep getting turned down? Why do I keep, you know, missing the opportunity, or not making the sale or the deal or procuring that loan, what I'm going to ask you to do is try again, and I'm going to ask you to try again. Now, now for those of you who have already put into motion, another try or another attempt. And again, it doesn't have to be since 2009. I mean, this could sensor simply have been since the retrograde itself, trying to get fed up with that lock. Mercury is kind of like the thief who's trying to crack the safe they with the with the wheel and they back with the other wheel and it doesn't open and with the wheel and doesn't open and you know, but eventually it and it opens. Okay, because mercury is the god of small things. Mercury is the god of those small little trivial turning points. And mercury in Taurus, which is a sign which is very persistent, and doesn't give up on things easily training Pluto and Capricorn, which is persevering. There's every reason to believe that this might be the time when it actually works. This might be the time when the key unlocks the lock. And when you get the acceptance, when you get the approval when you get what it is that you were seeking for. on a different level. This might be the time when because of the cumulative, this may be a time because of the cumulative effect, when it actually happens when it actually takes place. Change, we often think that change needs to be fast and furious, we often think that change needs to be earth shattering, or earth or earth shaking, or this is the change that completely transformed my life when we think of changes, these kinds of like cathartic or these catalytic events that take place. But anyone with a strong Mercury knows that that's not the way change takes place. Change is often a small development, it might be an adjustment, it might be a repetition of an action, it might be based on adapting, it might be a simple alteration in the formula, or a variation on the theme. But it's the small changes, it's the small changes that take it's the small changes that have the long lasting impact, you know, it's not the big catastrophic changes, I mean, they might come in wiped out or bring a break through or, or, or they might upset a situation or they might deliver you from something. But in order for them to take, they have to have a sort of lasting hold. And Mercury is the god of small things. It moves rules over those lasting holds but it's not a lasting whole hold like a grip on a rope. But it's a lasting hold like in a hook or in a clique or in a button being buttoned something small that lasts like that. This is what Mercury rules over so so I would very much encourage you to to revisit a situation to reapply for that loan. Or to I don't know pick up the phone and and call again this week around June 10. Because you may find you may find that this time. This time you actually get through
