You know, we're all living so much longer now, so it's not just one career anymore. It's often several or often several at one time. That's a very new model.

And of course, when you're looking at I'm going to preface my comments before I bring up what I'm going to say, preface my remarks. We just wouldn't look at this little sample that I'm showing you. We would still look at your career house, which is your Midheaven. We would look at the ruler of the Midheaven. We would look a lot at a lot of different, things in the horoscope.

But when I was writing, business astrology, and I was teaching this a long time ago, I wrote that book. I started noticing that because Saturn is the planet that rules Capricorn. And in the natural zodiac, Capricorn is the 10th house, which is career and Saturn is about serious things and has a lot to do. Like the mountain goat that once you know, will climb to the top of the mountain even though it's freezing and there's no food and there's lots of mud, you're still climbing.

So Saturn, in a lot of ways, represents our responsibility. It is the natural ruler of the career house. And what I found is that every time transit Jupiter, which takes, you know, Saturn is 29.5 years to come back to the same spot, but Jupiter to every 12 years, it's coming around, coming around, coming around. So about every 12 years when Transit Jupiter is transiting over your natal Saturn, that usually is an indicator that right at that point in time, there's going to be some sort of beginning for your work.

And it may not be that you leave what you do. It may be you're putting into a different position, or there's more responsibility and then, of course, it's based on and I've talked a lot about this in our Mastering the Phases class that you folks have over at astrology. And then you base it on the eight phase lunation cycle, which is 45 degrees, 45 degrees takes you all the way to 360 degrees.

That's one way to look at it, is to see every, you know, 12 years. When Jupiter comes back to that. But the other way to look at it, there's two different ways, is to look at your natal chart and see what the relationship is between where your natal Saturn was when you were born and where your natal Jupiter was when you were born.

Because where that Jupiter is placed in this template that I'm going to show you kind of indicates the way you'd like to work. That's that's a better place for a person to be working in, because some people are very good at working, but maybe that's not a good fit. And I think that this really helps you figure out what's a better fit in terms of the style of how you work, in terms of your career, even though the changes keep happening.

Now, the other piece, if you step out of your personal horoscope, okay. And we look at the bigger picture, which is the world picture, Jupiter and Saturn will come together every 19, almost 20 years. And we just had that happen at the end of December of 2020. And what that generally signifies for the world is that there's a big change happening in business, and some things will stay and some things will go, because Saturn is about what's the essence.

Jupiter is about expansion. You get those two together in a what we call a hard aspect, and we'll be talking a lot about hard aspects in the aspects class coming up in May. And which is when you do what you do, most of your really good work, when you have hard aspects between planets, sometimes you can get really lazy when the planets are having nice aspects, when they're just having a good time.

The most of the work is done when there's hard aspects 45 degrees, 90 degrees, 180 degrees. And I'll show you that in the template. So it's kind of fun. And if you've been around for a while and you've had a few career changes, you can, I would suggest you go through the ephemeris. And by the way, for the aspects class, I did submit a video that shows them how to actually use an ephemeris.

But the thing that's great about an ephemeris and you will see it and it's a pretty short video. It's only about, what, ten minutes? 15 minutes? It'll actually show you how to find the eclipses, how to find retrograde stations.

It'll show you how to track things. And I mean, it becomes like a personal Bible when you really think about it, because you can mark it up and, check your own life. So when I was talking about Jupiter coming back to your Saturn every 12 years, you know, when you finished with this little podcast today, go into the ephemeris or whatever you use and find when the last time Jupiter went over your Saturn, the time before that, the time before that.

It's complex. It takes a lot of different things to see when a change is coming. But this is a nice little quick and dirty way to kind of check your career path and to understand sometimes when you feel like I'm just done with my career, to see that you're at the end of the cycle, and that helps make it bearable so that you can wait for the cycle to start again.

So with that said, I'm going to go through this very quickly. It's your Jupiter Saturn relationship in your horoscope. First of all, it's important to know what your natal Saturn sign and degree is, because that's going to be the anchor for the model that I'm going to show you. So and I'll show you how to calculate that.

Also know what your natal Jupiter sign and degree is. Those are two very important things as we start. And we're going to look at what their what their natal relationship is in your natal chart, which is your essence of how you go about your work or your workspace. This will offer clues as to the type of career that works best.

You know, some people are very extroverted and like to be out there and, you know, exchange information, but there's other people who would rather just be behind the scenes doing the job. And you can see when those the relationship between those two, to see how that really plays out in their life. It doesn't mean, by the way, that you're always going to have careers or jobs that will match that, but at least it helps you identify more clearly what works better for you.

Okay, so and then you look to see where is transiting Jupiter in relationship. After you looked at where transiting Jupiter is in relationship to your natal Saturn, then you might want to look at certain careers, especially if you're getting a career offer. What would work better based on who you are? Now, let me just show you how this works.

It's not complicated. It's really, really easy. And I have this arc over sheet. I think I'm going to include this actually in the aspects package. And this is basically what you're seeing as a full circle. 360 degrees divided into phases of 45 degree phases 90 plus 45 is 135. Each one of this, these are 45 degrees. And this is actually also the pattern of the lunar cycle from the new moon to the full moon.

And in between both ways. Now what you do is you look at where your natal Saturn was when you were born. And we're going to use in this particular example, somebody Saturn was at two degrees of Sagittarius. And where do you want to put that is here at the zero point on the overshoot. And it's from this point that's a zero over sheet that you're going to measure exactly 45 degrees, 45 degrees away from that.

It looks really complex, but it's not that complicated. Because if you look at this example here, we've put Saturn at two degrees of Sagittarius. Now all you have to do without thinking is it's not about math, it's about it's about practical application. What's the opposite of two degrees of Sagittarius? That would go here at this opposition point, the 180 degree point.

It's two degrees of Gemini. What is 90 degrees or a square after two degrees of Sagittarius? That's two degrees of Pisces. And then what's opposite of two degrees of Pisces is two degrees of Virgo. So you've already put in four of the points based on your natal Saturn. Then all you have to do, because I know there's people listening to this right now going, oh my God, how am I going to figure out 45 degrees for each one of those phases?

You don't have to do that. All you have to do is figure out the first one, because what you want to do is there's two degrees here in this case. So how many degrees in a sine 30 degrees. Right. So subtract two because we're already using two up. So what's left is 28 degrees. And then if we add 17 degrees we have 45 degrees I'm going to repeat it I'm going to repeat okay.

Pisces comes after Sagittarius it's the first square after Sagittarius. Okay. The opening square, as opposed to the closing square, which is to Virgo, it's in the sequence of the zodiac. Okay, so Sagittarius and Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, it's in the sequence of the zodiac.

Got it. Okay, so you could you could fill in all the like if you if you wanted to see, you could fill in all the little triangle boxes to put the whole zodiac in and then just like, highlight yours.

But you don't want to do that. That's just way too much work for this system. All you want to do is have markers on each one of these 40 fives. Okay. Because I'm going to show you, once you get that, how you can see where your career cycle is or what kind of career. But let me go through here again.

There's 30 degrees to assign, so we've already used up two at this point. So two from 30 is 28 degrees. So there's 28 degrees more of Sagittarius. And since this is a 45 degree phase 28 degrees plus what 17. Which is the next sign of the zodiac? Capricorn. It's 17 degrees of Capricorn. 17 degrees of Capricorn is 45 points or 45 degrees away from SAG.

After that, you don't have to think anymore because after that you just say, okay, what's the opposite of Capricorn? It's cancer. So you put 17 cancer here and then you think, okay, what's the first square or the first 90 degree sign after Capricorn? The first square is Aries. So you just put the 17 here and then what's the opposite is 17 Libra.

I see what you're saying. Okay, well, it depends on what the degree is that you're using. I mean, if we were going to use, for example, I don't want to get too complicated here, but if we were going to use 28 degrees of Sagittarius here, that would mean that we'd have to use two more for the 30. Then you'd have to add 30 more, which would be Capricorn.

That's 32, and then you'd have to add 13 more, which would be Aquarius, and that would be here. So it's not always two signs away. It depends. It's just a 45 degree distance. It's basically about counting numbers. And if you if you want to make it easier for yourself, I guess you could find a little circle that has exactly three little 360 little dots going all the way around.

But I think that gets a little complicated when you use this system. So that's what you basically do. You put your Saturn at the apex position. You look at what's opposite that sign with the same degree. You look at what's the first opening square after that degree and the last, there are all twos. Then all you have to do is figure out the first 45 degrees, because from then on, it's set.

It's set. Now then what you want to do, look at your natal chart. In this particular example, this person had Jupiter at ten degrees of Pisces okay. So where does ten degrees of Pisces fall in this little template? It falls between two degrees of Pisces and 17 degrees of Aries. It's in this section right here. If somebody had, let's say Saturn at two degrees of Sagittarius and Jupiter at 20 degrees of cancer, that would go here.

So this is important because as we go through it, let me I'm going to move to the next one. Okay. We've already done this. All right. So let's go to this one okay. This is like a breakdown of each of the phases to kind of give you a sense of how you work. And actually this is from my book, but I broke it down. There's all these examples of different charts in there. But here we've got the same template here. So in the 0 to 45 degrees, which was the one we were just looking at.

That is what we call the new moon phase right here. If somebody has their natal Saturn and they're in Jupiter placed in this position here in terms of their career, they're very individualistic. They like their independence, they like innovation. They're very intuitive. They may not have a lot of experience. They're the ones that have the idea. So let's put it that way.

If somebody, for example, has their Saturn of course, is always here at this position, but now their natal Jupiter is at this position. This is a crescent phase. This is the red tape, the overcoming obstacles. This is somebody has a Jupiter Natalie here. They're the person that's going to be working for the bureaucracy dealing with unbelievable amounts of red tape.

These are the social workers that have to do all the paperwork, that have to figure out how to make something work while an idea is in play. This is where you figure out if the obstacles can be overcome. This is a person who likes dealing with obstacles. They may not like it, but they've got a skill if you put it that way.

If they're natal Jupiter in relationship to their Saturn is here. This is the first quarter phase. The opening phase. This is the management phase where they're you know, they've gone through figuring out the obstacles. They have the new ideas. They know it'll work. Now, how do we get this darn thing to work? They're the managers, the people manager who would like to focus on structure, who like to do things like executing an idea because they've got all their information.

If somebody has their natal Jupiter in this position between 135 and 180, that's the, gibbous phase, which is kind of like standing on the soapbox and telling people what you believe and how you think they should buy your product. I mean, this is this is really, I believe, what I'm doing. This is a sales master salesperson position right here where Jupiter is, right here.

And then this is the full moon. Here's a new moon position, the starting point. This is the opposition point. Notice this is 180 degrees. You can't go any further than 180. You can't go to 181 in a circle. It starts dying down at that point. And we'll be talking about that in the aspects class. This is when things start to wane here.

It's starting to wax where it's growing in terms of energy. This is where you start to break things down. So when somebody has a natal Jupiter in this position, this is a person that may constantly be changing what they're doing because they get bored and they only do so much and they've got to let it go. They're risk takers.

They they're often high stress types. They like extreme careers. It's like a full moon. Full moon is, you know, when the light is the strongest, it's like the rubber band, the stretch. These are the people that do the bungee jumping. You know, that say, oh, this is fun. Let me do that for a career, you know? Okay. That's fine.

And then you have people if you have your Jupiter here in this position, this is the dissemination phase. Let me move this up. This is actually the disseminating of information. These are the teachers. These are the consultants. These are the ones who can, you know, are very good at the network people, let's put it that way. The people really know how to get people to join in a situation.

Then if you have your Jupiter Nataly in this position, still Saturn is always at the top. This is this is I don't want to say it's a tough position to have it because I don't like to say that, but it is the closing or last quarter phase. And, this is a person who may actually be in a career that helps other people figure out how to get out of their careers.

I don't know if I'm making any sense when I say, in other words, somebody is coming to you and they're kind of done and they don't know what the next step is. And so what's the key point here? This is and this can be very much an education point where you learn new skills, where you teach people about new skills, where you, you know, like learning I, you and I, where you think I need to know something new so that I can have a new, different a new look at my career going forward down the road.

That's the closing square, people. And they can be, it can be very private people to anybody who's got a Jupiter in this position in the last quarter phase, or the balsamic can tend to be very private because this is the end of the cycle. And they need privacy because they need to create things a lot. And Woody, I think Josephine Baker, Woody Allen, a lot of artists have had this position.

And then of course, the Jupiter here. This is the last phase. This is the balsamic phase, like the balsamic moon, like balsamic vinegar. These are people who are extremely private who like privacy and what they're doing, but they're the ones if you need to figure out how to fix a problem or for somebody to kind of stew on something for a long time to fix a problem, or you're trying to invent something new.

The balsamic phase. People need a lot of space because this is the incubation part of this entire. These are people who are incubators, you know, you give them 3 or 4 ideas, they need some time to think about it. And then they come up with the idea that's birthed at the new moon. So that's in general, if you have your natal Jupiter position in relationship to Saturn.

But if we go one step further, this is the way you develop your career. So for example, if you have Saturn here and you see the Jupiter is about to travel over your Saturn, this is going to suggest it's like a new moon. There's a new start here that you want something new or that somebody offering you something new, or there's an opportunity to try something new.

Even in the career that you've been in for forever. This is when the new begins. But you're not sure if you take it, if it's the end all and the be all of what you're ultimately going to do. But it's the new start. And this is, you know, these are new thinkers. These are people who might decide if Jupiter goes over the Saturn is this position.

They want to walk away from corporate right now, and they want to do their own thing. That would fit perfectly. When Jupiter goes over your natal Saturn as a transit, it would fit perfectly. And to take a year and a half, because each one of these sections lasts about a year and a half as Jupiter is traveling through it.

That's why it's a total of 12. Each one of these sections is a year and a half. So now let's say you're finishing up the year and a half of something new in your life. Maybe you've come up with an idea, maybe you like the idea, maybe it's very pioneering, but is it going to work? This is the hardest part, I think, is when it goes into this phase, which is the crescent phase, because this is the red tape.

This is where you talk to people to see if it's viable. This is where you do your research. This is where you ask questions. This is where you do marketing tests. This is where you spend a lot of money trying to find out if it's going to work or not, and may win or may lose doing that. But it's a very, very necessary phase if you've started something new, even if you're working for other people, this is going to usually be a transit.

Jupiter is moving through here, where you're going to be in a situation. It could even be with a group of people where you have to sit down and figure out, okay, the boss or the company has given us this new plan. Is this going to work? This is when you do all the hard work here. Now, once you've done that, now say Jupiter's now moved into the first quarter phase.

The opening square. That's kind of like coming out of having a blind spot and suddenly you have peripheral vision is the oh my God, I know exactly what I need to do. And keeping the space open for new things to come in to make it more malleable and more appropriate for what your future needs and wants might be. We'll see downsizing a lot. So now we've got Jupiter moving into this phase, which is the dissemination phase. And this phase you're becoming to share a lot of information you're teaching. A lot of people will feel lost at this position when Jupiter is transiting this part. Why? Because, you know, you really can't go back. Maybe you've always been interested in photography. Maybe it has nothing to do with your career path, but it's something that you really wanted to do. My input on this is to follow your instinct because this is the instinctual phase. These last to follow your instinct. Because whatever you do at this point, whatever skill you're learning at this point, as Jupiter is traveling through this part in relationship to your natal Saturn somehow, whatever that is, it could be you never really use that class, but it turns out that you're in a class with somebody who talks to you, who wants you to come work with them.

In other words, get out of your comfort zone is what I'm suggesting. As Jupiter's traveling through this and stop, you know, having a pity party on yourself. You lost your job. And then, of course, when Jupiter is moving between the balsamic and the new phase, that's the last phase.

That's the last year and a half before Jupiter hits your Saturn. This is an incubation phase. And at the same time, society is also doing its own little incubator. And and at some point, those two come together. That's the balsamic phase. This is the incubation phase. And I noticed that even though we got the iPhones and we got the iPads and the iPods way back when that they yeah, they came out at a new phase as Jupiter was going over their Saturn, but they were being designed and figured out and, you know, going through constant checks on how things work in this last phase, the balsamic phase.

And this is if it is happening in your own life and maybe you're tired of what you've been doing, but you have a particular set of skills, this is not a bad time to start thinking about. And then, of course, Jupiter comes back over your Saturn every 12 years and it starts all over, again. So if you live long enough, you'll go through this a few times. So I would suggest, if you want to use this little system to see where this where you are, where you are. Natalie, what's the relationship between natal Saturn and your natal Jupiter is and go through that list of things that I showed you in the prior slide.

Or if you want to see where you are in terms of your career, right now, in terms of the fluidity where transiting Jupiter is right now, Jupiter is in about 17 or 18 degrees of Gemini, I think. And let's just think about the original model where Saturn was here at two degrees of Sagittarius for that bogus person that we were talking about, that bogus person right now would have Jupiter traveling through this part of this diagram, which means that they're thinking about leaving their job, or their job is leaving them because it's in the full moon phase.

And so I think it's just a fun way to work. But there's a catch phrase for each aspect that helps. Like, sextile is a combination of one's ability and an opportunity that shows up. So, you know, if you see a sextile coming up in somebody's chart or they've got a sextile, there's an opportunity and an ability there.
