Retrace your steps instead and triple-check your sources. You'll have a clear idea of how wires got crossed by next week. Meanwhile, postpone presenting your side of the matter until Mercury re-enters Capricorn on January 13th. Not only will this put you on solid ground, but you'll be able to both answer and correct those intent on poking holes in your argument.
Libra Weekly Horoscope | December 25th – 31st, 2023
It's taken weeks to get to where you are now with a sale, purchase, or closing. You've done more coaxing and cajoling than any Libra should have to, so you'll be glad to see things signed, sealed, and delivered. Obviously, the fact that this is all happening during a Mercury retrograde is cause for concern, and true to form, something will materialize to derail plans. This isn't a twist but an oversight. Part of you feels like you should be transparent, while another part just wants to be done. The Venus/Pluto sextile on December 29th suggests it might be best to let sleeping dogs lie.

The Mercury-ruled signs Virgo and Gemini suffer from an inability to leave well enough. This can show up as adding that one tiny extra piece that sends everything toppling or undoing all the good that you've done because you thought you could make it better.
