Pluto, planet of ordeals and the transformations that arise from them, turns retrograde on May 6th. This can be likened to Godzilla, king of the monsters, ending his rampage and returning to the sea from whence he came. This will come as a welcome relief to everyone who has experienced earthshaking upheaval in their lives since October. You might have undergone a crisis in your career, disruption at home, or a growing sense that the ground beneath you isn't as secure as it once was, and that it may never be again.

Unlike Uranus, which is linked to revolution and change, Pluto is linked to evolution. We like to think of evolution as progressive, a natural force that pushes us to grow into something better, but evolution often feels like we're being dragged kicking and screaming into the next stage of our development. In some ways that might have been what your last six months felt like, and now that Pluto has gone dormant, you have a chance to gather your wits and survey your surroundings.

You know that there's no going back. The world has changed in too many ways, and it will continue to change, to grow, and to evolve. This is a good time to remember what Darwin said about the survival of the species. He never said it was based on the survival of the fittest, but rather on your ability to adapt and adjust to the shifting environment around you. Pluto comes out of retrograde on October 15th.
