[00:00:00] All right. Hello everybody, and welcome back to the Astrology Hub Podcast. My name is Laura. I'm the director of operations here at Astrology Hub and your host for today's show. Today we have a very special episode with astrologer Jamie Lee. Jamie, welcome back to the Astrology Hub Podcast.
Thank you.
Yes. It's so great to have you back here. Uh, for those of you who don't know, Jamie, I'm gonna give you a little bit of information about her. She is an intuitive astrologer who is lit up to support others to live their most magical, inspired lives. Through understanding the multi-dimensional nature of astrology, Jamie supports her clients to become more conscious co-creators of their lives, and to experience more freedom through the awareness.
Astrology offers. I love that. Jamie, who's a mama to a precious 2-year-old, has a graduate degree in school psychology and worked as a school psychologist in the public schools for five years before founding a yoga and mindfulness organization that focused on teaching mindfulness to children. Jamie is passionate about merging astrology, parenting, attachment theory, and [00:01:00] child development to empower parents and families to co-create a more beautiful reality for our world together.
That's so beautiful, Jamie.
we're
so happy to have you here. For you Inner Circle members as well. Get excited because Jamie is your next inner circle guide for the Aries Moon cycle. So we're gonna get to go really deep with Jamie into some of the topics we discussed today.
Uh, but today we have a very special episode. We'll be focusing on Chiron. So Jamie, you'll be our guide for the Aries New Moon in the inner circle, and Chiron is very emphasized in that chart. Tell us a little bit about that.
Yes. So on April 17th we have the new Moon where the sun and Moon are meeting at 27 degrees of Aries. And with that new Moon we've got a lot of Aries energy happening, but the key feature
of that new moon is
Chi. Is right with that New Moon
at 26
degrees of Aries. So New Moon at 27 Aries,
Chiron
[00:02:00] right there.
Uh, 26 degrees of
Aries. So in the
New Moon we are planting seeds of intention for the next Loo nation cycle. And when the with the New Moon, with Chiron.
Chiron
is known as the wounded healer, right?
The
journey of Chiron is alchemizing our sacred wounds into sacred medicine to share with others. It's that transmutation of our own pain and
suffering
as it we open up to more compassion, and then how do we share that with others to help others. Chiron there with that New Moon, Chiron and Aries is really this
invitation we've had. Chiron, just to kind of
give a little background, Chiron moved into Aries in 2018. Retrograded back into Pisces, and then 2019 was an Aries to stay. So k
Chiron has
gone from the beginning of Aries in 2018. 19 for almost about six years [00:03:00] now is at the end of Aries and Chiron is about to leave Aries in June and go into Taurus.
We'll only be for a few months and then we'll go back into Aries in September, and
then next year in 2027, we'll go back into Aries to stay. That's important when thinking about this because Chiron's in these final degrees of Aries, meaning this is the final initiation for us to really claim the medicine of Chiron and Aries.
So Chiron and Aries has been the invitation to heal wounds we
have around
our self identity, How we
see ourselves, our self
image, our self-concept,
and our sense
of
self agency.
Our belief that we can go out into the world and create the kind of life
that we want
to live. So this New Moon with Chiron is an invitation to plant seeds of a new story around the way we see ourselves and our ability to go out [00:04:00] and create the kind of life that we want to live.
Hmm.
I love that, Jamie, and how. Perfect of a timing. It is for this to be happening while Saturn and Neptune just entered Aries, because we're doing a lot of talking about envisioning the future and kind of building new structures and kind of like thinking outside of the box about who we wanna be and what our lives wanna look like.
And so as I'm listening to your talk, I'm, I'm hearing like Chiron's kind of here to help us clear out those old wounds so that when we build on, you know, the Saturn Neptune energy, we're kind of building from a, a place that's a little bit more whole or healed or, you know, would you agree?
Yeah, exactly. And with Chiron, it's such an interesting.
Journey,
and
I feel so intimate with the Chiron journey because my Chiron perfectly squares my lunar nodes. And when you're born with that kind of signature, something squaring your lunar nodes, that archetypal story of that
planet squaring
your lunar notes is so important to your, your life's journey.
But with Chiron.
We
kind of have the [00:05:00] original wound of whatever it is, but the actual suffering most of us experience is kind of secondary wounds
that happen through
our story, our perspective, our framing of the original wounds. So if we think about Chiron and Aries, if you have Chiron in Aries, that is, this is especially significant for you because this is.
That means you're in your Chiron return. Basically, if you were born kind of early to 1970, early seventies
to 1976,
essentially you have Chiron and Aries. But this is relevant for all of us on a collective level because wherever Chiron is in the Zodiac, we are all working on, there's an invitation for us all to have
some healing with that archetypal energy.
So, Kai Aries,
we can think of the wound to the I am that I am. Varies from the evolutionary perspective. It is.
We,
we are. It's that cardinal spark of life, right? So areas [00:06:00] is where we're getting to really learn about our
self-identity,
our self-concept, our sense of independence and individuality and self-agency.
And we all, pretty much in our own, the kind of
the paradigm that
we've lived in have some type of wounding around that. Where when we were young, probably within our family system or schooling growing up, we got some messaging that
said.
Who you are. Is not okay. And we learned to hide and suppress and deny authentic
aspects of
our self-expression because Aries, it's a cardinal fire sign.
This is just the will to self-express in the moment. And so we learned to hide and suppress aspects of ourself, and then we took on other. Qualities to belong. And if you look at the Chiron mythology, the, the original wound for Chiron was a wound of abandonment, not [00:07:00] belonging, being, getting messaging that you're not lovable, that you're not worthy.
Of course, none of that's true. But if you look at Chiron's mythology,
he was
abandoned at birth from both his mother and
father,
and he was born a centar half. Human half horse. And when his mother, who was in NPH
saw him,
she thought. Look at this monster that I gave birth to, and she was ashamed and she was embarrassed that she gave birth to Chiron and she abandoned him.
She left him on Mount Peon to die, and because she
did not
want to be associated with giving birth
to what she believed was a monster, I mean,
it's like. Heartbreaking as a, as a mother, right? You're a mother too, Laura. Like, well, you hear that. How could you ever feel that way about
your child?
But the original, like, and this is that the essence of whatever our Chiron
wound is, because we
all have Chiron somewhere within our natal chart.
Like if you get down, if
you keep on pulling back the [00:08:00] layers
of working with it, the deepest,
the deepest like
actual wound there
is often
around. Belonging, like feeling a sense of I don't belong or feeling
a sense of separateness, or
I'm not lovable, I'm not worthy, I won't be accepted. Like that's usually the story that's driving whatever Chiron wound we have.
So in Aries, we're here, all of us, and we're at that final initiation this year and into next year around at this phase in our journey. What story. Around our self identity, where we felt, I don't belong, I won't be loved, I won't
be
accepted.
That we get to
heal so we can one belong within ourselves. You really, the whole.
The whole invitation with Kyron and Aries is to bring this like self-compassion and this self-acceptance and this self-love, so we can truly belong within ourselves, so we can stop abandoning ourselves so we can feel whole and [00:09:00] worthy and lovable and to move from that space. So there's just such a powerful invitation to.
Uh, re to reframe our story, to get, to live our life from more of
a place
of wholeness and in our unique, authentic individual expression. And with that, with that Chiron and Aries, because really when, when we're not feeling free or safe within ourselves to be that Aries is. Gut instinct.
It's just I'm instinctually
responding with a moment.
It takes a lot of life force energy
to suppress
and deny and hide aspects of ourself, and it
creates this
energetic incoherence within us. And so when we can
come back
into a place
of wholeness. We
can move from life from more of a place of energetic coherence, and then things tend to flow. And within my Lu
Nation month,
right, or within that Aries Lu Nation month where we have that
new moon with
Chiron, Uranus is also moving from Taurus
to Gemini
to [00:10:00] stay and Gemini for the next six years or so.
And
what that's gonna do is it's gonna open new possibilities for fast moving change, new exciting opportunities. So. It really feels like there's
this invitation to
get to plant
the seeds for a
new story of how we see
ourselves and
our place and the world, and how that will unlock new possibilities for us new pathways.
Hmm.
Hearing
you retell the myth of Chiron. Yes. Heartbreaking as a mother to think about. But it also makes me think that Chiron's mother had some of this wounding that you're speaking of, right? Like she didn't want her identity, identity to be associated with Chiron, um, because she was ashamed. And it's just kind of a great illustration of how.
The cycles happen. Like, you know, until someone stops the cycle of, healing as Chiron did. And so the s New Moon Chiron's accentuated, you said that everyone has Chiron somewhere, which is in their chart, which is kind of their [00:11:00] Chiron wound. Transiting Chiron kind of is an opportunity to work with that Chiron wound.
Would you say That
is
Yeah, absolutely.
And it's like no matter where
your Chiron is, As, for example, my Chiron as in Gemini, but
Chiron being
an Aries right now, it's like with my own Chiron
and Gemini
wound, the Aries like around the
self identity, the
self image, the gut instinct. That archetypal opportunity with that Chiron and Aries piece
is going to
support my Chiron and Gemini wounds. So it kind of works like that. Chiron goes from sign to sign and there's, because our wounds are so multifaceted with all the story, it's like we
keep on,
we have the original Chiron wound and then it's like we put
a web of story around it
that
really gets
us entangled and trapped in our wound. So as Chiron goes from sign to sign, we can kind of like pull back.
Layers of those webs to really get to the essence of what it is
so we
can truly have, [00:12:00] uh, that, that healing and
that transformation. And this
is kind of the paradoxical thing about the Chiron healing. So we tend to think, especially I, I feel like maybe
it's also
part of our kind of individualistic kind of culture that we live in that says, pull yourself up by the bootstraps.
You
know, we tend
to have this idea that I can willfully and forcefully heal my Chiron wound. And that's the thing, most of us go on this
big journey
of,
I have
this Chiron, or for those of us that are like on that healing path,
we have this Chiron
wound and it's like, wow, I really wanna heal this because with the
Chiron wound.
The actual wound is, is our story. We tend to think with the Chiron wound
is usually
some iteration of a story of I have something that's fundamentally wrong or flawed with me. It can be something physical, it can be something more. Uh, mental, emotional, it can be more like an experience
that we
have, but we have something and we think, wow, there's something [00:13:00] fundamentally flawed that makes me damaged or broken or unworthy or unlovable, whatever it is.
And we think, okay, if
I can fix that
aspect of myself, then I'll be whole, then I'll be lovable. I won't be broken. Then I'll. Be able to live a
fulfilling life or
whatever it is.
We try to make
that thing go away, but this is the thing. That actually never, never works.
The true
Chiron healing is when we come to, it's like, it's like almost like our hearts break open.
We fully embrace our humanity, our vulnerability. We bring this like deep self-compassion
and self-acceptance to our
journey. Like the true Chiron healing is when we realize, wow, there's nothing to heal about myself. I am whole and complete.
As
I am
already this Chiron
wound that I think
is something wrong with me
is actually part
of my journey,
and it opens up immense compassion and this.[00:14:00]
Motivation to heal and help others. And it's actually our
greatest gift, and that's where the
real alchemy is when we come
full circle and realize there's
actually nothing to heal about myself.
And that's like true transformation of the wound, right? Because I think a lot of people think get rid of it, right? Exile it. But when we exile something, it just grows and grows and grows. And really what you wanna do is accept it, work with it, and uh.
and.
Honestly own it, right? Like any healer will tell you that they had to heal themselves first, or heal themselves or had to work through their things first before they can actually help others.
That's what, um, kind of Chiron was all about. And so, um, I love what you're saying here and um, Jamie, I know that you've worked with your Chiron very specifically, and so it sounds like this Aries New Moon is a good time for everyone to do that. So to both set intentions and plant seeds for working with their Chiron, I'm not gonna say healing it, but working with their Chiron wound, but also.
It sounds like some of their Chiron themes may [00:15:00] come up for people. And so if this happens for people, what, what do you suggest people do to kind of work through this, um, during this time?
Yeah, so whenever, that's
such a good
point. Whenever there's
big Chiron
things coming up with transits,
our own unhealed aspect. of our Chiron wound comes up because it's like chiron's like.
okay,
Like, I'm trying to bring this
to your
awareness
so you
can bring that healing bomb of your love and your compassion to this energy. And honestly, I find with the Chiron, when we can just, it can be so hard, but when we can just actually soften to whatever story is arising and that associated.
Intense
emotion, whether it's anger or grief or despair.
The more we can soften and open our hearts to just being with the experience as it is,
that
truly is the healing [00:16:00] medicine, when we can say, I'm going to be fully present to my pain right now, and I am going to offer myself self-compassion and self-love
as I fully.
Open
up to being present to what is, that's like, to me, that is the emotional alchemy
of Chiron and
Chiron's.
Always a story is gonna come up and when we can notice, wow, there's a story coming up here around
my
wound to notice. And then if we can kind of drop below the story and just say, I'm gonna like notice that's the story, and then try to drop below it and just feel.
Pure
emotion. That pure energy that's arising.
And to
be that vessel for the energy to move through without stopping it, without resisting it. Like the more we can do that, the more of the alchemy. And it's not easy. I have not fully master this, you know, I,
You know, I feel like most of us
when we're on this journey, we can go kind
of in and out. It's like, okay, [00:17:00] present to my pain in this moment, and then, oh, I'm caught up in story and maybe reactivity and then we can come back and be present to the pain.
So even if you find yourself not able
to fully do it, like that's okay
also honoring that and um, having self-compassion for that as well. It it's really powerful. And the piece I wanna also touch on this. Aries Newman with Chiron. Another aspect of Chiron and Aries is that healing of our primal instinct and our gut instinct,
because that's very much
about Aries.
Most of us have been conditioned out of our intuition and our gut instinct, and so. We've lost touch with
that. And
Chiron like raised himself in the wild and discovered so many healing medicines like plant medicines from raising himself in the wild. He was very much connected to his primal instinct, and that's something Chiron and Aries has.
Been wanting to get us back [00:18:00] touch with is our own primal
instinct and
our own gut instinct, and to be able to live
from more
of a place of self-trust and self-confidence that
we can. We
can fully trust ourselves to make the right decisions for our lives to take action when the moment's right. And that's an important piece
that it feels like
Chiron is initiating us with and
rewilding
us back into our relationship with our primal instinct.
And with Chiron, we're always working with dual themes, right? He's. Course half human, kind of like half God, half, you know, like, like Demi God, he was immortal because his father was Kronos
or Saturn.
But we're working with all of these dual things, his civilized self and his primal instinct, self being as
above and
below, you know, human and divine.
And so with Chiron and Aries, so much, so many of us have been an uh, conditioned out of our primal
instinct. There's this invitation to.
[00:19:00] Come back
to our
primal instinct, but to
channel that kind of
unbridled, primal instinct for a higher purpose, right?
So it's
not just. Totally outta control.
Primal
That's just
about,
you know, self pleasure and like hedonism.
That's like kind of what the,
the cent, the typical
centers
were, were. And then Chiron
changed people's
image of
what a
centar was because he kind of
also was able to
refine that energy and use it for good and healing. So there's this invitation to rewild ourselves to get back in touch with that primal raw life force synergy.
And then how to creatively channel that for a higher purpose, a higher destiny. And that feels like that's something
this Aries New
Moon is wanting to open up for us. Especially with how Saturn and Neptune, I mean we have so much Aries
with the,
that New Moon Mercury there, Mars is there. We have like
what, six,
seven planets and Aries at that time.[00:20:00]
Yeah, the Aries New Moon is, uh, a big ignition point this year. It feels like the energy will really, well, it's picking up already, but, uh, by then certainly, and I love that you're bringing in. The halfway point with Chiron, like half horse, half man, half mortal, half God. Because it kind of feels like Chiron.
Chiron
Is there to show us that the wound is kind of where we meet halfway. And it reminds me of that Rumi quote that the wound is where light enters you. I think that's
the quote, and I think in this context, like light being God, right? Like if we can allow ourselves to feel our pain, be present with the pain, like you said, and transform it or own it or whatever, it's like that is such a beautiful.
Beautiful thing. So, um, and I also wanna offer this and uh, to, to people who are trying to work with their Chiron placement. What I found helpful for myself and then also with clients is um, just noticing the element that your natal Chiron is in and then working through it that way. So if you're a chiron's in a water sign like mine doing reflective practices or meditation practices and things that really can kind of [00:21:00] get you feeling those feels, you know, come up for air every now and again, but feel the feels if it's fire.
Maybe you do through, you work at. Through movement or through art, air, you know, talk it out with someone. Journal, uh, earth really like being present in your body for what comes up and being even some physical ailments that came up because of it. So I just wanted to offer that for people who are like, how do I work with my Chiron when I don't know where to begin?
I find that being a very, uh, good place to start. But.
I
love that.
So Jamie, I know that you have worked with your Chiron pretty specifically, um, throughout your, so, so would you mind sharing a little bit about your story and how you've personally worked with your Chiron placement?
Hey friends, if this conversation is stirring something within you and getting you excited we have a free community event that we are in the midst of.
You are not too late. It is called the Aries Equinox Challenge, and it's designed to really help you ignite this vision that you. Personally our holding for [00:22:00] this next phase in humanities chapter and to really harness the energies, align with the energies, and elevate your frequency so you can make the most of this time.
Just go to astrology hub.com/ Aries equinox. Again, it's free. You are invited. We would love to have you join for this adventure that we've already embarked upon, but you are absolutely not. Too late. Alright, now back to the episode.
So with Chiron, not all the time, but.
What can be a unique signature about people with a strong Chiron placement can be having something that's physically unique or different about
them. Because if you
think, go back
to that
Chiron mythology, how Chiron
was born. He looked very different than how his mother
thought he would look when he was born.
So. There can be a unique physical feature. Also. Sometimes there's a a, I mean, for people with strong Chiron signatures, sometimes there can be this journey of going through [00:23:00] a big health crisis or health journey, or there's some unique story that maybe there was a big, um. Emotional trauma or physical trauma when someone
was younger.
So.
my Chiron kind of feature is I was born with, um, an eye condition
that causes
involuntary eye movement and it's actually a neurological condition, but my eyes, they are a little bit wonky. So they like, like they have, there's this involuntary eye movement to them. And so when I was younger in grade school and it was very hard to, to have this.
Feature that look different than other people because your eyes, you can't
hide your
eyes. I mean, unless you're wearing sunglasses or something, you cannot hide your eyes. And your eyes are what people look at when you meet someone, when you're talking with someone. So it's just kind of right there. And you know, as we know when, when
you're in grade
school, sometimes when someone has something that's [00:24:00] different, it's just, um.
They become like a center point for, for bullying and, um, teasing and that. So I received
a lot of.
uh, bullying
and teasing
and being made fun of when I was growing up in grade
school, it
was very, it was very painful and it was really. Really challenging. So there's the original
kind of,
you might call it a Chiron wound.
And actually I would, now where I'm at on a journey, I would not
call it a wound or anything wrong
about myself at
all, but.
growing up fundamentally had the
story that there is
something wrong with me. There's something wrong with the way I look and there's something wrong with my physical appearance.
And I had all of these Chiron stories of self-worth of that. Oh, like I don't belong, I won't be accepted. I'm not lovable. I'll never
find someone
who will love me. Like I had all, I mean, there was like this web and layer of all of this Chiron story I as very self con, or I was very
[00:25:00] self-conscious. I, I mean,
I could not have imagined that I would be here today, like on a podcast where all can see me.
Like I really like hid from the spotlight. I hid from being
seen.
I wanted
to shrink
down. It was typically my goal and life growing up to not be seen, and unfortunately I have this Leo rising
that's like,
okay, you don't get to do that in
this lifetime.
It is about learning to step onto
the center
stage of your life and allowing people to see you exactly as you are.
But I had this life. Growing up, just really wanting to shrink and hide and not
be seen,
and a lot of self-confidence
and
self-worth stories because of it. So then I, it was just also very common for
people with strong
Chiron signatures. You wanna help, you wanna heal. I didn't even know who Chiron was at this point, but when I went into uh,
college, I.
Um, got my bachelor's
in school,
or I got my bachelor's
in psychology
because I knew I wanted to help people. The, the deeper thing I wasn't [00:26:00] aware of is I wanted
to help
myself, which is why I went into studying
psychology,
but I wanted
to help
others. And then I discovered school psychology. Um, when I was in my undergraduate and I got a graduate degree, I went into a master's program in
school psychology
because I wanted to go back and go in the school setting and.
Help people. I wanted to help children who were like myself, who didn't fit in, who didn't belong, who had a lot of, um, emotional challenges growing up. I had a lot of depression, anxiety, like OCD type tendencies that were kinda like manifestations of,
of
all of this. So chi, people with strong Chiron signatures, you find them going into psychology or counseling or even holistic healing or medicine or.
Some type of healing practice. And then I started to, um. I started to study and
learn about
astrology when I was
a school
psychologist. And then I wanted to, you [00:27:00] know, find all my students' charts and wished I could help
them that way. And
I left the school psychology profession and my Saturn
return so
I could really align with what felt like my, my true dharma.
But once I started to start to open up to astrology and other healing practices, my spiritual journey, I, I set forth on the spiritual journey with this idea that. I can heal, I can make my eye condition go away where I can have quote unquote, normal eyes and look like everybody else. So I did everything.
I went and did acupuncture, uh, chiropractic care. These are all Chiron type of things, by the way. Um, spiritual counseling to figure out what is a spiritual root. And I like, I felt like maybe I could manifest it away if I did enough. Spiritual work, like it would just heal itself.
You know? Um,
herbalism, traditional, you know, I saw a traditional
Chinese medicine
doctor and did herbal things around that, like energy work, right?
I got like [00:28:00] energy healing
from people, any
kind of spiritual healing, art, uh, sound healing, yoga, meditation. I tried
everything with the
exact, really, with the underlying attention of. I wanted to heal this. I wanted to make
this wound go away because I felt like
for me to truly live the life I wanted to live,
this wound
had to go away, that I could not live the life I wanted to live with the condition
that I have
as I am.
But at the end of the day, it was like, wow, I've spent. You know, thousands of dollars, I don't
know, maybe tens
of thousands. I have no idea. But I spent all of this money and all of this time, and I really wanted to heal myself. And I'm like,
I still have this
dang wound. It's like still here. And it, you know, oftentimes we become full circle to that and we can feel this like despair It's like, well, what the
heck? What's the point? Like I still have this thing. And
it's like the
true healing actually came from when I
cracked open. Really surrender to, [00:29:00] this is part of my journey, like to bring self-acceptance, self-compassion, and I finally
just one
day, it wasn't something I made myself happen, just it was
kind of
the alchemy of the whole experience.
I just, one day I just had this realization.
There's nothing wrong with
me. There is nothing to heal. I don't need this.
I don't need my eye
condition to go away to live a meaningful, fulfilling life to live
the life that
I want to live. It's my story around it.
That's actually
the problem. That's actually. Keeping me separated from living the life that I want to live. And so it was really this real, it just, it was this kind
of sudden
realization, I need to.
Embrace this, that
this is just part of my journey.
And so I'm not like, you know, this is the thing with healing. We can have these big epiphanies and wow. And then we, over time we realize, ah, there's like more little, they're complex. There's little [00:30:00] things that come up over
time. So
I wouldn't say I'm like 100% healed, but the fact that I'm able to. Step out and
be seen and hold
myself with self-compassion and that self-love and that self-acceptance. Knowing that if it doesn't matter if someone says something to me or mean to me, like if someone just wrote a mean thing in the comments about it, like I would be okay because I have that self-love and that self-acceptance, and I
know.
that I'm worthy enough to show up.
even
with
this. And
so that, you know, to me like that's been the Chiron journey
is when
we realized.
There's
actually nothing. There's nothing to heal here. And I've actually discovered, I do think there's some more mystical, metaphysical reasons for why I have what I have, and that's
kind of,
even without that, it doesn't matter.
Like it's learning how to love and bring that. Self-acceptance and I noticed a big shift in my life of going
for this
is a very [00:31:00] Aries thing, like we just go
for it. Going for
the opportunities that I wanted to experience and going for the life more actively and assertively moving in the direction,
the life
that I wanted to live when I really had that alchemy of I'm not gonna let this hold me back.
Hmm, Jamie, I love that story. Thank you so much for sharing that with us. Well, as you were talking, I'm like, this sounds like the Chiron myth. Like in the myth of Chiron, he learns all of these modalities. He's the healer, he's the ev. Everyone comes to him to be healed and he can heal everyone except himself.
And so you went out and you learned all these different things. You tried all these different things. And with those skills, I'm sure you are a huge aid to other people. Um, but it didn't really do anything for your own quote unquote wound. And so. I just think that's fascinating how your story really mirrors the myth of Chiron in a lot of ways.
And
then, and then the stories piece. I love that you're like, you're separating it from reality because this is a great [00:32:00] example of how the stories that we tell ourselves. Create our reality in a lot of ways. You know, because it had, you just had a different story playing in your head, you know, you, you wouldn't have felt like that people were embarrassed of you or afraid to take you out or things like that.
And so I just, I it's just amazing how you were able to like move through that and come out the other side. Um, and yeah. And now you have a lot to give other people, which is just like amazing. So thank you for sharing that with us.
Oh, thank you so
Yeah.
And so. How has this experience kind of changed how you see Kyron or how you work with Kyron in the chart?
Yeah. You know, to me it's really changed my experience around how we view the wound, because so much of it, if you just at first glance research about Chiron and astrology, it's. like. The wounded healer, we alchemize our wound into sacred medicine. And that is true to some extent, but it kind of gives this idea of I have [00:33:00] to go
out and heal myself and
there's this, you know, like I can make it heal.
And so it, to me, how it's really changed is, especially like in my own client work, it's like. Let's get down to the root of what is the wound, what is the story,
and then how
can we
actually,
instead of trying to fix it or make it go away, how can we open up to it? How can we actually open up to, to feel it?
All the pain around it, the
emotion, the grief, the
anger around it. And Then that is that
that al
that is the alchemy too. to, to me that feels like where we get the greatest wisdom from it when we finally get back to the root of I can be whole and complete with this. Um.
That feels to me like to me,
the
Chiron journey.
Instead of shifting from how do we heal it, it's more how can we embrace it as [00:34:00] part of our humanity, as
part of
our
vulnerability. The
Chiron journey, to me,
it's actually
a de arming We can think of Chiron as Chiron symbol. A glyph is like a key. Chiron
is the key to our heart, and our heart
is that space where above and below meet our hearts is the only space where we can actually.
Um, hold space for both and for duality, right? The above, the below, the human, the divine paradoxes can actually hold space. Um, our heart
can hold space
for paradoxes and they can alchemize it. And to me, this is what Chiron is the key to. Chiron is the key to opening our heart, and we open our heart through this journey of
de arming
because whatever our wound is, right, we get all the story like that spider web of story.
It puts armors and armor like layers and layers and layers
of armoring around our heart because
we wanna protect ourselves. We don't want to feel the hurt and don't feel the pain. And so if Chiron, to me, it's more of
like, let's
de arm, let's take off one [00:35:00] layer at a time. Let's take off that armoring and that protection, and to get more in touch with
that very tender,
very
vulnerable, uh,
very raw, authentic place within.
Which is our humanity, and then we, it, it's like it cracks, it opens us up
to actually
let the light of the divine end where we, it's like that alchemy of being merged as a fully divine and fully human at the
same
time.
Mm. Yeah. And it seems to me like Chiron and Aries, especially with this New Moon, is kind of an opportunity to reframe vulnerability as strength. Um, right. Like as you were talking and like about the key to our hearts, like I think a lot of times people think, you know, vulnerability is for the feminine or it's, it's, um, you know, just something that's a weakness really because our society kind of sees it that way.
But it seems to me like this may be an opportunity to reframe that and kind of, um. Be strong enough to go into our wound and into into our hearts. And so would you agree?
Yes. I love that. [00:36:00] that. Absolutely.
Yeah. Yeah. Um, amazing. So Jamie, you told us offline that you don't particularly resonate with Chiron, the wounded healer. I feel like every time someone refers to Chiron, it's Chiron, the wounded healer. Um, so can you tell us a little bit more about why you don't resonate with that title?
Yeah.
You know, to me, I just, I
feel a true. Relationship with
the essence of Chiron. You could say like I'll sometimes just sit and kind of do meditation journeys, connecting with the essence of Chiron, and it feels like I'm talking to the spirit of Chiron, the essence of Chiron, and I've heard him
say,
I do not wanna be called the wounded healer anymore because.
He's like, my wound is not my identity. Yes, I've experienced a wound. He had that initial wound at birth, but the, the wound we often think of with Chiron is when [00:37:00] he got hit by on accident, by the poison arrow of Hercules, and then had to live in immense, immense pain because he was immortal and he could not die.
And
so that
also really motivated picking up so many
more healing
modalities.
And he
was healing everyone else. All the, you know, gods and goddesses were sending their children to learn from Chiron, and he was
this great
mentor because he really
mastered
the art of healing, but he lived with this. Wound that was agon and agonizing pain.
And then he eventually made a deal with Zeus where he traded spots with Prometheus and then he could become immortal and die and or become immortalized in
the stars
by becoming the scent our constellation. But
when
I really feel the essence of Chiron,
he is
like my wound. That was
just one
part of my journey, like.
What are the actual meaningful parts of my journey? It's being this amazing guide and [00:38:00] mentor and learning all of these healing modalities that I taught to others that they took off. Like Kyron was the mentor for Asclepius who was considered like the, you know, essentially like
one of the
gods of healing with the Ian Temples.
And so it also feels so resonant. I feel like I've had this. Conversation with Chiron, like the spirit or the essence of Chiron. Wow. Chiron is an Aries because Aries is our identity, and he's just like. Can I be known for something else as well? Like not to, not that I have to diminish or hide or pretend like
the wound's
not there, but does that have to be the center point, the focal point?
Like what about the
courageous healer or the gentle
healer or the compassionate healer? Why is it always just the wounded healer? And I think there's something really, um, poignant
there is.
is. So much of the time, our wound can become our identity. We can
take on
[00:39:00] that wound as our identity, and there can be like.
Self-serving or even like a higher serving purpose, like
maybe that
does motivate our healing journey. And because we feel wounded, we wanna
heal that and go and
help others so other people don't heal, feel that way as well. Like there can be beautiful aspects of that, but there is a point where the wound becomes the identity and we just get stuck and entangled and trapped.
It becomes like a cage where we forget. We're also so much more. Than our wound. We are so much vast, so much grander. That's not the whole of who we are.
It can
be an important puzzle piece or aspect of who we are, but it's not the whole of who we are. And I feel like that's kind of the
essence of what Chiron is wanting to communicate.
Yeah.
Yeah. And um, by reducing. Him to the wounded healer. I think we do a lot of disservice to ourselves as well, because we think it's something to be healed when, to your point, it's really just stories and really just, you know, it's a web of un entanglement that we have to work through in this [00:40:00] lifetime and, and so I.
If someone's out there and they're like, I really, you know, I wanna work with my Chiron. Do you ever see there's like opportunities for that via like transits to your Chiron or anything like that? Like are there opportunity points that people could look for to maybe work deeper with some of their own Chiron stories?

To those of you who have already subscribed, thank you so much. Now let's get back to the episode.
I find there's different ways you could
look at
it. One, anytime
a planet
is making aspect
to your
Chiron, so by conjunction or square or
any aspect,
there's like an opening point to work with your Chiron story. So when the outer planets are making aspect to our chi. Now we're talking about
big evolutionary[00:41:00]
stories.
Like if Neptune is making contact with our Chiron, we we're, we're talking about, there's an invitation to realize where do I have, um, a delusion around seeing reality due
to my,
like Chiron story? Where has it created without realizing it? Where am
I seeing reality through a
lens of delusion or deception or illusion?
Dissolve
some
of that
illusion around our Chiron story
so we
can see reality
more
clearly. So when those
big
outer planets are making aspect to Chiron, yeah, we really have these chi ironic opportunities I do find too, just, you know about once a year, the
personal planets are gonna make aspect
to
your Chiron and the moon
will make aspect to your Chiron every
month, but
about once a year.
All the, uh, like sun,
uh,
mercury, Venus, Mars, about once every two years is gonna come to your Chiron. I do find like more in little ways, like the Mercury with your Chiron, you might notice like, ah, maybe communication
things with
people actually really trigger and bring up the [00:42:00] Chiron wound. Um, so
there's
like little ways in your daily life will
come up with
a more faster personal planets and then the bigger evolutionary themes with the outer planets coming to your natal Chiron.
But as.
Chiron
is also transiting around the natal chart. It will come to different, it takes 50 years to go around the natal chart. It will come to different places in your own astrology
chart. Like for
example, if Chiron.
Is with your
Venus, Venus
being so
much around our self-worth and our self value chi.
When Chiron comes to our Venus, often things will come up around where do I have, where do I have some story around my self-worth and self value
that,
um, it's not the true reflection of who I am and where there's healing. So there, yeah, so much
Chiron opportunity. When you're
50, of course, around the time that you're 50, you have your.
Chiron returns. So actually, if I, if you were born in about
nineteen seventy
five, nineteen seventy six, nineteen seventy seven, you are in your [00:43:00] Chiron return right now.
And it is. The Chiron return
is often an initiation where.
where. Whatever is really
there for us of our Chiron wound that we've not addressed.
It
comes up
for healing. But the bigger
thing also of our
Chiron return is
you step
through the threshold of becoming a guide, a mentor, a teacher with what you have alchemized as healing medicine throughout your life.
Mm. Yes. Amazing, Jamie. So. Inner Circle members, we're gonna be able to go really deep with Jamie in this Aries New Moon chart in the inner circle. If you're not in the inner circle and you wanna join us, you always can. We'll put the details below this video. Uh, but Jamie Chiron, as you said in the beginning, Chiron is getting ready to move into Taurus, which I imagine is a very different flavor from Chiron and Aries.
So can you talk a little
bit about.
uh, how they're, how they'll be different and what, uh, Chiron and Taurus might feel like for everyone?
Yeah. So if
we just think of the
[00:44:00] difference between Aries Cardinal Fire and Fixed Earth. Aries is this energy that wants to move up and out into the world. It's so much about my. Self-agency taking action, individuation Taurus brings us down and into our bodies
and
with the earth as well.
So some big things around Chiron and Taurus is going to be healing around what are our stories around our self-worth, our self values. Taurus represents values in general, lots
of healing to really
come back
into alignment
with our true values and a particular piece I've been tuning into. So. as Kyron is going into Taurus, Uranus, the great awakener,
you know, that destabilizes to break
us up and wake us up
to come
to that awakening It's moving out of Taurus
into Gemini. As
Uranus went through Taurus over the last six years, Uranus went to Taurus
The same time
Kyron went into Aries.
So many of us have felt this really
big awakening to, I
wanna live [00:45:00] more free from
the system. I want to
come back
into living in right relationship with the land and
community. So, so many people felt that so
many of us are feeling this.
I don't wanna be dependent on the system. I wanna be able to grow my own food, um, heal myself with herbs.
Uh, I
don't wanna be so dependent on the system. So many people actually started to make to make a lot of changes to Prep Pres. Going back to the ancient ways of preserving your own food, preparing food.
So many people started to do that in little ways or big ways. Some of us, maybe we just started like maybe we just started growing one vegetable in our garden. Other people like bought land, started totally living off the grid. But most of us feel that to some desire I wanna be more self-sufficient and not reliant on.
These external systems that I don't know if they're really actually going to be
able to
support us and help us. So I feel like as Chiron
is going
into Taurus, Chiron is giving [00:46:00] us
The
healing medicine to say
these are the ways
to be more. Self-sufficient and live in right relationship with the land. So the ancient ways of preparing food,
the ancient ways of
growing food, ancient healing modalities, like working with the herbs, how to go outside
and, and
no, I'm actually part of, I've been learning
from someone like
emergency herbal medicine where if you did not have access to a hospital, how could you actually go outside?
Identify plants and use them in like emergency situations. I feel like that
is what Chiron and Taurus is also really
going to, uh, connect us with.
Hmm. We just had Pam Gregory on the podcast and she was saying a similar thing about how there's going to be. Be an increase of people who are trying to kind of move off the grid or live more on their own terms or outside of the system. And so I can't remember exactly what that was in reference to, but it's interesting 'cause you know, you're kind of echoing each other.
So there's definitely something here. Um, I just planted some, uh, plants in my backyard,
some pots,
so I'm one [00:47:00] of those people who are taking baby steps. But
Oh,
me too. As a, as a mom to a young one, you know?
It's it's hard.
Yeah, it's hard. I can, I I can only take care of so many things at once. Um, so Jamie, this has been so awesome. I just, I, I love your perspective on Chiron. It's definitely shifted how I see Chiron and I'm no longer gonna refer to him as the wounded healer ever again. And, um, and so I'm so looking forward to having you in the inner circle for a whole month with us, and you'll be teaching a mastery class on Vesta.
Can you tell us a little bit about, uh, what students can expect in that class?
Yes, so I love this
because Vesta and
Chiron are both given
like modern cove
rulership of Virgo. So Vesta is the guardian of
our sacred flame. She
is known as the goddess of the home and the hearth. And essentially what Vesta does is she protects
the sacred
flame of our heart, which is our will to live, our desire to live.
And she connects us
with our sacred
Devotion, [00:48:00] like how to live a meaningful and
purposeful life through
some type of sacred devotion, some type of sacred commitment, like really our dharma. And so I, I feel so, like Chiron and
Vesta are working so beautifully
together because Chiron. Really sets us, you know, Chiron is like learning the healing modalities, our healing craft, and Vesta is the one that
keeps us
committed and devoted
to it.
Vesta is the one that it's like, wow, when we're in our dark night of the soul, or when we're just
really. Down
in life when we're feeling like at a rock bottom or a low Vesta is the one that she's tending or that aspect of herself that tends to that sacred flame to keep our desire and our will
to live
lit up and keeps us going, and then she can also help us thrive and live a.
You know, passionate life connected to a sacred purpose, a sacred dharma, [00:49:00] a sacred commitment. So I am really excited to get to dive into Vesta.
Yeah. Okay. Inner Circle members get excited about that. Sounds like understanding your Vesta placement and understanding your Chiron placement together, um, is worthwhile. Um, if you're really into this, into this stuff. So looking forward to that Inner Circle members. Um, you'll have Jamie for the whole Aries, uh, Lu Nation if you wanna join us for that.
Everybody is welcome. We'll be sure to put all the information needed in the show notes if you'd like to join us for that. And yeah, Jamie, I'm just, I'm so. I'm so happy that you're here and that you're willing to be vulnerable with us and share your story with us. And, um, it's just like, it's so beautiful to watch.
So just thank you for all the work that you've done to get to this point, because it really, it shows you're shining.
Thank you.
Yes,
that
Leo, that Leo rising is shining. So, alright everyone, well, thank you so much for taking the time to listen to this episode, for tuning in, for being a part of this community and for making astrology a part of your life.
We'll catch you on the next episode.
