With today’s Gemini New Moon, I’ve been reflecting on something that’s always felt personal to me… curiosity.
As someone with a Gemini Moon, I’ve long credited this part of my chart with my natural desire to ask questions—especially when interviewing the brilliant astrologers who join us on the Astrology Hub Podcast.
And yet, I’ve sometimes felt conflicted about this trait. After all, we’ve all heard that “curiosity killed the cat,” or watched Curious George get himself into endless trouble.
Curiosity, in those stories, isn’t exactly celebrated—it’s something to be wary of.
But recently, I discovered something that added a whole new dimension to the word “curious.”
Did you know that the root of the word curiosity comes from the Greek word for “to care”?
This totally floored me… it makes so much sense!
When we care about someone—or something—we’re curious. We want to understand it, connect with it, know it more deeply.
And that’s exactly what this New Moon is inviting us into: caring enough to get curious… especially about yourself, your sacred mission and what it will take to bring this to life.
In the Inner Circle, we’re gathering today for our New Moon Ceremony. I’ll be guiding our members through a powerful visualization to prepare for taking a sacred vow—inspired by the influence of Neptune and Saturn in Aries, which are strongly coloring today’s New Moon.
This vow is a commitment to protect and embody the vision seeded in their hearts… to stand for the mission their soul came here to fulfill, and to nurture it with courage and devotion.
But before that vow, we’ll begin with curiosity. Contemplating questions like…
- What sacred flame is alive in your heart?
- What qualities are you here to seed into this world?
- What devotion, discipline, or daily practice are you ready to embrace to bring this vision to life?
If you’re an Inner Circle member, I can't wait to share this with you… 💝
And if you’re not, I invite you to spend a little time today—or sometime in the coming days—in quiet reflection. Journaling. Meditating. Taking a walk in nature and tuning in. 🍃
Be curious enough to care about what’s alive within you right now.
This New Moon energy is ideal for getting clear on your vision, committing to your path, and setting up the supportive structures you need to follow through.
The energy is shifting… clarity is returning to areas that once felt foggy, and taking action may feel a little less like a slog.
Momentum is building—so take advantage of it. (And if you’re not feeling it just yet, stay open… it’s on its way.)
I'm wishing you a lunar cycle filled with curiosity, and the steady determination to take the next right step—one at a time.
With care,
Amanda
